The Citizens Bank on Shelburne Road in South Burlington has professional, knowledgable, friendly and helpful staff. There are advantages to having a neighborhood bank with a national reach but local service. This branch is great!

My partner and I went into the branch for a scheduled meeting with one of the bankers to go over some basic employment and tax and savings options. She was not only incredibly kind and knowledgeable but very patient and good at explaining things simply and easy to walk through. We worked with Stephanie Gero, but her colleagues seemed very helpful too.

Citizen Bank is unethical at the higher up manager level all the way down to the branch managers and tellers. They will lead you on for months over promising refunds, pass you on to the next person and lie about conversations that took place. When ready I will cancel all accounts and never do business with citizen bank again. All you have to do is read the other comments do you see everyone has the same opinion. NSB is by far the best bank in Vermont. Shop local with NSB!

Amazing people, feeling super confident with their customer service, all the time they look for my best choices, when I come with a problem there they are with a super helpful attitude, this will be my personal bank forever of course!!! Thanks a lot guys you rock!!

Worse bank ever.. ATM'a never work.. oh they work taking your money but not give it back .when there an Error .. No customer service on Sunday's.. Either at bank or 1800#. If I didn't have a car loan Through you guysI would never do banking with you or recommend anyone to do business with this BANK. Bad Business..

Worst banking experience in my life!I just moved from California to Vt.Prior to the transition, I called Citizens to make sure that I could transfer from BANK to BANK so that my 5yro and I could buy a car within the first week of being here. I opened a checking account with cash and a savings with a large BANK transfer so that I could get a car. I was told by Dawa Sherpa my wait was 24-72 hours. I found a car and started the payout process after 72 hours.Citizens then told me that my account had insufficient funds after both myself and banking representatives SAW the money in my account, which led me to believe that my funds where stolen. A few days later the story changed to fraud after I spent over 30 hours on the phone and in person trying to resolve this issue.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE is an understatement! NO BODY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON and just shrug their shoulders while $35,000 has gone missing.Now they say that the funds coming DIRECTLY from Bank of America are Fraudulent and they will return them to BofA.....SOMEDAY BEFORE JUNE!! Today is March 16th!!!!Meanwhile my son and I are renting a car for 3+weeks which is expensive and completely unnecessary if this bank was honest and organized.As of now I still waiting for Citizens to place the "fraudulent' funds back to BofA account so that my son and I can have cash or a debit card to eat and buy a car.Thanks to Citizens we are left out in the cold (literally) as they hold my hard earned cash and saved money hostage. Oh, and they also froze my ATM and online banking so we have had no money for the first several weeks coming to Vermont. Its not great to be in a new place with a young child and NO available money.In the future, I will be keeping my money in accounts outside of Vermont from now on. Citizens has really burned me especially since I methodically took all the steps necessary for a smooth transition to a new state. I TRUSTED THEM and that was my mistake.You have many other options in banks, DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!!!!!

Employees at this location are bias. They criminalize and marginalize costumers of a particular ethnic group and are not consistent with what they project themselves to be as an organization.

I started banking at this branch in particular because of their friendliness and professional conduct. I have never had a poor experience. When I opened my business account here, we had some difficulties with my receiving credit card payments. But it wasn't the fault of the branch or the bank. In fact, the staff at this branch went the extra mile as we worked it out. Great communication and attention to customers.

Worst Customer Service EVER! Opened this account 1 month ago. Took them 3 days to actually open the account...kept telling me computers were down. After I called main 800# and complained, they magically opened my account. Today I receive the authorization form confirming my direct deposit and my name is spelled incorrectly AND the address wasn't the one on my account! Manager said she had no clue how that could happen!

I've had nothing but positive experiences with this branch. I only pop in once ever couple weeks, but they somehow always greet me by name, and are professional, friendly, and courteous. I'm honestly shocked to see some of these negative reviews. I use them for my personal finances, as well as my small business. They handle both exceedingly well.

Horrible bank and customer service. The teller "Krissa" was rude and condescending when I went into this particular branch to pay down my car loan. Krissa made no eye contact, no smile, and she gave me this feeling that I had created work and inconvenienced her. When I said "thank you", she gave me an "uh huh." I had been financing my car with Citizens Bank for 3 years, and I decided to refinance my car with another institute. When I called the branch and made a suggestion to the branch manager regarding Krissa's attitude, the branch manager "Shannon" was very indifferent and monotonic. She did not apologize, or make an attempt to explain on how she will make an improvement. Horrible service.
