Margaret is A1 at her job at Hertz/Dollar Car Rental at Burlington Airport. She knows how to recommend the best car for the customer's needs and is very thorough and knowledgeable. I'm always happy to see her behind the counter when I rent a car from there.

One counter help employee and 28 people in line waiting. Photo is the 12 people in front of me . She has been nice to everyone but definitely needs more help. 40 min and still 6 people in front of me Hertz and enterprise have multiple employees and 1 person in line

We arrived at midnight and service counter rep was helpful, changing us to a gas vehicle since there were minimal charging stations on our route for his EV first choice.

Not great service, did not accept card even though according to website card should have been excepted. Also was away from desk for an extended period of time, and once finally showing up was discourteous and unhelpful. They did eventually grant me a refund at least, but had to work for it.

Still just one person working at counter. Over 50 people in line now. Each transaction takes 5-10 min. No line at any other counter. I signed up for “dollar express” which is supposed to allow me to skip the line but that does not work in BTV airport. Terrible service.

I went to the booth to get a car (the worker was working the HERTZ counter since Hertz and Dollar share a customer service space). The guy at the counter gave me the keys to an EV and didn't realize that until I walked to the lot. We had a 6 hour drive ahead of us and an EV was just not an option for our needs. I wish he would have said it was an EV when he gave me the keys, because he was incredibly rude when I returned from the lot and asked him if he had anything else. I simply asked if he had anything else and he completely lost what ever self restraint he had to begin with. I asked him if it would make it easier if I canceled, only to be met with another rude answer with explicit language used. Long story short, he was able to get us something else, but I really did not appreciate the horrible customer service and won't be using Dollar Car Rental.I get having a rough day. It appeared that he was the only one working the counter and doing a lot of running around. Either way, they should hire people who can keep their cool and not curse at customers who are asking simple questions.

This was my first time renting a car for myself. The counter was difficult to find but other than that it was perfect. The person working was very helpful and informative. It was so nice not to have to take a shuttle to the car lot. It was very simple and even when we wanted to extend the time we were dropping the car off for it was super simple.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Dollar Car Rental through Expedia that left me shocked. After making a reservation, I realized a simple mistake with the date and immediately contacted customer service. Their response was appalling - they refused to make any changes or offer a refund, showing a complete lack of empathy.I strongly advise avoiding this car rental company. Their inflexible policies and disregard for customer satisfaction highlight their profit-driven approach. I have never encountered such an unaccommodating attitude from a car rental company before.Based on this distressing experience, I highly recommend considering alternative rental options that prioritize customer satisfaction. Additionally, my disappointment extends to Expedia, as they were unable to assist me. Save yourself the trouble and explore other options for both car rentals and booking platforms.

Showed up with a reservation we had for weeks and the only car they had available in the class we booked was an electric car. The lady at the reservation desk said our only other option was to pay an extra $100 for an upgrade. Ridiculous considering it's not our fault they don't have any other car on their lot and an electric car was a bad option for our travel plans within Vermont. Won't ever be using Dollar again.

I didn't like that using a debit card is not a payable option but only a major credit card. Wasn't clear before picking up our rental vehicle. BUT the card we had reserved was unavailable so we ended up getting a nicer bigger vehicle for the same price (which was a blessing in disguise)! Customer service was very accommodating to incorrect charges that we had incurred as well and did not give us a hard time at all. I would definitely recommend dollar-rent-a-car/Hertz because the prices are worth it as well as the vehicle we used!

I selected the “suppliers choice” option via Priceline. When I arrived at Dollar Rental the desk service explained the only option available to me is a rear-drive sedan, and warned me about the snowstorm looming. If I wanted all wheel drive I had to pay 150$ more plus 9% tax. And she pressured me to buy their insurance because “some insurance plans don’t apply in the State of Vermont.” It was incredibly irresponsible of them to be providing cars unsafe to drive in the winter as the only “supplier’s choice”. And the insurance talk felt like a scare tactic. I ended paying $200 more than I booked. I will not rent from them Dollar Rental again

Was operated from the Hertz counter. The lady at the counter offered insurances and other Vermont specific strange stuff for a huge premium. Please do not take them, I got fooled by choosing them. These are normally covered by many VISA/other credit cards.

Be careful when renting from Dollar. We had a great experience until they hit us with a $15.00 "admin fee" per unpaid toll. (This was our mistake as we thought we had opted into the pre-paid toll option. Had we realized we did not, we would have gladly paid the toll at the time). This is corporate greed at its worst - they can't and won't try to explain their "admin fee".

Very good service (from Hertz counter as Dollar one was not open yet). Everything was clear, and the car looks nice and functional!
