Just moved here from another area of Vermont this system is the worst I've ever been with there are no signs posted where the buses go no bus stop signs to indicate they are a bus stop and this is even at Shaw's which is where I caught a bus one morning The driver that I got with didn't seem to know much about the area it just gone on board but wouldn't ask anybody on his radio how to get to where I needed to go I ended up it ended up taking me an hour and a half to go a distance of less than 2 mi from my home it's out on the bus and the music was up so loud you couldn't hear yourself think and it was just a terrible terrible ride I was glad to get home but then when I had to figure out how to get back to where I needed to go I tried to use their website and their map and everything was such a long distance away for me to walk 76 years old and handicap was not going to work tried to talk to the dispatcher from wherever the heck that was she didn't give me much of an answer as well I used to drive bus for over 4 years and chipman county and a lamoiie county as well as Montpelier area. I know nothing is perfect but these folks don't seem to have any way of getting things upgraded it seems I will do my best to figure out my future trips but there isn't even up taxi cab in the area so it makes it very difficult as an older person who is not used to tech to find a way to get around here in fact when I did call the the number on the brochure that a bus driver gave me this woman told me that if I wanted to get a bus special to come to my house I'd had to be 2 to 3 days in advance what who knows where they're going to be two and three days in advance I had to make a special trip for some medical supplies as well as food unfortunately I did not know you had to do that two to three days in advance terrible system we have with transportation in the state in this country it seems to me they don't want riders they just love their love have their buses run around with their signs on them it's always been that way it seems just terrible terrible terrible get to hire anybody smart enough to figure out how to make it easier for people to use a bus just my opinion and it counts

More community participation. Open avenues allowing ideas and suggestions from the people in town. I worked on a project with my cousin when they decorated the town with bicycles, Ours was the bicycle built for two that stood next to Village Pizza. We got a lot of good comments on it and we were glad to have had the opportunity to get involved, Made us feel like we had contributed to our town. The empty store windows could be cleaned and dressed up, It would make the town more alive and not so empty, The Garden Club does an amazing job. I love the new benches in the park in front of the movie theater. That was a great idea.

They do an excellent job in supporting the Springfield Vermont Downtown businesses. Jessica Martin, the Executive director, is the best.
