If you are looking for a store that is similar to Whole Foods, then this is your spot. They don’t have very much name brand items. It’s all healthy and natural brands. Didn’t have what I was looking for so had to go somewhere else.

The commodities market is a nice grocery store, albeit quite small. It is one of the few natural food stores in the Stowe area and the staff is very friendly.

Helpful staff. Great selection of most items. Meat and produce selection was lacking a bit, but The Butchery next store would've helped to solve if they were open.

I keep shopping here less & less, do to eliminating products from the store. Mocha Java coffee was absent for months & months... even though Artisan Coffee company is located not far away in Waterbury.Andalou Roses skin care products... Greg said would reorder again after summer sun block products were gone. Still not on shelves. (Last summer 2022) Makes me sad to not be able to support our local store.? I now have to shop in other towns for the same products". I'll keep "trying" to support Commodities as it's great to have a health food store here in Stowe.

ALLERGY FRIENDS! 10/10 choices for the fresh organic produce choices, and 10/10 for stocking the best gluten free and vegan packaged food brands -- with simple ingredient lists.Cosmic bliss ice cream, simple mills crackers and pancakes, Hu chocolate bars!!!! I can keep going, they have the best of everything packed into this store. The best store by far in Vermont. Hit SAVE in your grocery store list to google maps for your future Vermont trips.

As an out of town visitor, we were treated a bit rudely for not bringing our own bags. Why would I pack a grocery bag for a cross-country trip? Instead, we were admonished and our very large haul was stuffed into two small paper bags, which broke on the way to the car.Charge me for bags and double bag the heavy stuff. Exclaiming “you’re obviously not from around here” still bothers me months later.
