I’m getting sick of hotels saying that pool and hot tub will be open when they aren’t. Why are you doing maintenance at the time the amenities are supposed to be open? Otherwise, wonderfully friendly staff and a nice stay.

Great location right in Stowe, Vermont. Just down the street from the police station, grocery store, Dunkin Donuts is right next door, and downtown Stowe is a short walk away. The pool and hot tubs inside are clean and well kept, as is the pool out back. The large pond that is also out back is absolutely beautiful. The staff is attentive and Mandy at the front desk is amazing. There is a large den/living room at the entrance with several large plush couches, a large TV, and a big fireplace that is perfect to cozy up to after a day on the mountain or with your other half.

We stayed here with our dog and children. The front desk was some of the friendliest people we’ve encountered at a hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. The lake outback offers, kayaking, and canoes for the guests. We use the indoor pool, which was very enjoyable, and the hot tub was very nice. We wish we had more time to stay here to enjoy the facilities, even more. I would recommend and would go back

It was a cute hotel, and it had a homey feeling to it. The grounds were spacious and the lake in the back was large. They have a nice hot tub and pool, and the lobby area is a nice place to relax.

Everything was clean, easy to register when you get there. Great restaurant downstairs. Just a little outdated.

Hotel was old but not terrible. The staff however was really bad. Night of check in the front desk clerk was cursing, F bombs, talking badly in front of my kids. He was ranting about the previous person he relieved and his language upset my kids.
Then this morning, Mandy, was incredibly rude. Wouldnt even talk to me during check out, totally ignored me and clearly hates her job. She has no business working there.
Avoid this place and find another hotel in Stowe. Many options that wont subject you to cursing in front of your kids and staff who act like they wish you werent there.

This is a 2.5 star Inn I’d say. The location was fantastic, the price was decent, and the staff were friendly. The condition of the place, however, was hilariously poor. There appeared to be blood under the sink, black hair on the towels, mold under the shower hooks, greasy headboards, cobwebbed ceilings, and stained carpets. Outside of our room was a nearby exit which of course broke and smacked my bf in the head at one point when he was walking out. The inside pool water was very murky and had dead bugs in it. The outside pool was closed due to maintenance. If this place was renovated, I think it’d be a favorite of many due to its excellent location and friendly staff but I don’t see that ever happening. Personally, we’d never stay here again even in a pinch but I can understand this place being a good option for vagabonds- which according to other reviews there are several staying here.

I stayed there last week for 3 night's. Would never stay there again. It's so outdated. Could not even get into my room. You had to bang on the door in order to get in. For $900.00 for three nights, was a rip off. I would rather sleep in my car. I stayed at Best Western down the road for less, got breakfast and clean towels everyday and they cleaned the room too. The only reason I couldn't stay at Best Western was they had no rooms to have a pet.

They knew the AC was broken put us upstairs. I complained after it was just getting hotter. They knew the AC was down for an extended period of time past our stay. 80+ in our room. They gave us a fan, didn’t deliver the extra bed. It stormed had windows open during a lightning storm. Bugs got in, my children were miserable. Front seat lady was dismissive. This was the worst. We should have stayed anywhere else.

Blast from the past! The staff was very friendly! Keys instead of a card for the room. The place could use a major upgrade and cleaning

I like that the place has character and authenticity. It is well located on the bus route to the lodge. It has wonderful hot tubs.
It could use a little renovation.

I wouldn't recommend this as your first choice stay in Stowe, but I would stay here again. It's a dated, early 90's nautical themed ski lodge. One could argue it needs a major renovation, while others would say it's cozy and nostalgic. Either way, everything was fine - just dated.
What the rooms and hotel lack the staff make-up for it. Very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Breakfast server every morning and with a smile.
Pool and hot tub were 4.5 stars. The onsite bar/restaurant is a solid 3 stars. It's convenient, but there are much better places to eat. Go to Ranch Camp or Backyard for beer and food.
You can't beat its location. Everything you want to visit is 10-15min away. Very convenient and scenic drive to and from Stowe Resort.
