This place was recommended as a historical general store, but it's really just a touristy gift shop. The atmosphere is nice and the staff were very friendly--that was the best part.
Most of the items felt generic and overpriced. I was hoping for more local or unique products, but nothing stood out.
It's fine for a quick browse, but if you're looking to shop, there are better spots nearby.

A staple of downtown Stowe with a little of everything for everyone, focused mostly on outdoor gear. Really friendly staff, free 🅿️ behind the store with plenty more shopping & eating options very close by. Good place to grab shoes 👟😁

This place had a lot of interesting souvenirs to peruse including maple syrup items, magnets, postcards, clothing and more. When I came back in I learned the difference between maple syrup and that was so interesting! The staff were nice and friendly! The prices were reasonable considering the destination. I definitely left with a few gifts to take back home!

We randomly walked in. Love the downstairs general store. Too bad I could fit big stuff in my luggage home. Otherwise I would have bought more. A little bit of everything.

Felt like I was being accused of stealing. I was just walking around the busy store when all of a sudden some store clerk comes by in a frantic mannerand asks if I have any questions. He DIDN'T approach me in a friendly manner.He then quickly ran off to the back and didn't ask anyone else if they needed help.As a person who used to work in retail with a strong security team I knew exactly what was happening.I didn't appreciate being profiled for just hanging around while my husband was looking around.

Cute shop. Great selection of souvenirs. Also have puzzles, games, hiking gear, kids clothes.
