My partner and I stayed at Stone Hill Inn the week after Christmas (Dec 2023) for a visit to Stowe. The communication leading up to our stay was first-rate, and we were provided with all the information you could ever need to plan a good stay—think activities, restaurants, and more. Given that we were coming at a busy time, they also recommended booking places in advance, which was spot on.The Inn itself is beautiful, and although it was raining, they do have trails for hiking and snowshoeing right on the property. The Inn also had sitting areas, a games room with a pool table, well-appointed rooms with large, jetted tubs, and a fabulous breakfast each morning. Oh, and a pillow room to choose a different pillow if needed! The owners are onsite and responsive and we were delighted with our stay. If we are in Stowe again, I'm definitely staying here.Nearby activities: The Inn is within easy driving distance to everything in Stowe, including the downtown village and the recreational trail.

What an amazing stay! Todd and Kristy are running a little piece of heaven at the Stone Hill Inn! The rooms are comfortable, beautiful and relaxing. Our breakfasts were delicious!!! The property is gorgeous! We loved the little waterfall and our nightly fires outside on the patio with our glasses of wine. And, their right hand man, Tony, is a ray of sunshine! Super friendly and ready to make suggestions of where to go and what to do with your day. We can not wait to come back! Thank you!!!Nearby activities: Make sure to checkout the Von Trapp Brewery, the Stowe gondola ride to the top of the mountain, and historic downtown Stowe.

A Quintessential Vermont Getaway at Stone Hill Inn:My stay at Stone Hill Inn was nothing short of a delightful Vermont experience. Nestled near the charming town of Stowe, this inn offered a serene and exclusive retreat with its limited number of rooms, ensuring personalized attention and a tranquil ambiance throughout our stay.We had the pleasure of staying in the Mansfield Suite, which stands out as a unique offering at the Inn. Imagine a cozy 1-bedroom apartment, complete with a washer, dryer, full kitchen, and a comfy living room with a TV, all encapsulated in a private space. The suite emanates a warm, welcoming aura, intertwining modern amenities with classic Vermont charm.Location-wise, Stone Hill Inn is a gem! Almost everything on our Vermont to-do list was conveniently within a 10-minute drive in the delightful town of Stowe, offering lots of activities and scenic spots to explore, from local markets to breathtaking nature trails.Speaking of trails, the property itself boasts its own trailhead, which we found utterly enchanting, especially for soaking in the vibrant spectacle of fall foliage. Every morning stroll became a magical walk through a kaleidoscope of autumn colors. But what truly elevated our stay were the innkeepers, Todd and Kristie. Not only did they prepare a scrumptious breakfast each morning, but their warm hospitality and readiness to assist with anything we needed significantly enhanced our stay. Whether it was recommending local spots to explore or ensuring our comfort in our suite, their dedication to guests was evident. In essence, Stone Hill Inn offers more than just a place to stay. It’s a portal to an authentic Vermont experience, intertwining splendid nature, exemplary hospitality, and a dash of that irreplaceable, cozy feel that one seeks in a BnB. Highly recommend for a wholesome, relaxing getaway!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at this charming luxurious B&B with numerous extras & a perfect location for exploring the area. The 10-tier waterfall floral garden will relieve any stress as you listen to the cascading water while sipping on a local brew or a fine wine. The landscaping will transport you to a magical land. Our itinerary kept us rather busy during our brief visit, but there are plenty of activities on this 9-acre site such as hiking, swings, hammock, fire pit, game/movie room, & two toboggan runs for a winter diversion. If you are headed to Stowe, VT for vacation, a getaway, leaf peeping, or skiing, then book Stone Hill Inn, nothing else compares in Stowe. Todd & Kristie are amazing friendly hosts (and Tony), who go to great lengths to exceed your expectations during your stay. They are a wealth of information about local restaurants, sites, & activities and will make excellent recommendations. The included gourmet breakfast is elaborate and will fuel you for the day & put a smile on your face. They even accommodated my wife's GF diet with delicious options. Over the decades we have lodged at numerous B&Bs, AirBnBs, hotels and even a castle in Germany and Stone Hill Inn is hands down one of the top 3 places that we have stayed. We are telling all of our friends about our great experience and will definitely return whenever we are in Stowe, VT. The prospect of leaf peeping being just around the corner is tempting me to book another visit.

We came here to celebrate our Anniversary and couldn't be happier with our choice. Kristie & Todd are fantastic hosts. Many places aren't accommodating when it comes to a gluten free diet, but they took my requests in stride and our breakfast each morning was superb. At the end of each day, we enjoyed the hot tub in our room. The location, the scenery, the food, everything was perfect. We also really miss Tony serving us breakfast every day! Definitely stay here if you have a chance.

This Inn was exceptional. Our hosts were so personable and Tony was just a delight. Our experience their was outstanding. If I had known how beautiful it was we would have stayed more than two nights. Our room was amazing, breakfast was great and I've been to many B&Bs none have presented us with a menu for breakfast choices. Exceptional. I can't say enough about this place the property is beautiful and soooo peaceful. I want to go back and not leave

Everything about our weekend was wonderful. Todd and Kristie are wonderful hosts. The room was amazing, breakfast delicious, and the grounds made for a lovely place to walk and enjoy a little sun. As visitors to the area, the digital guidebook was also wonderful-Todd and Kristie thought of everything and we will definitely be back!

My (newlywed) husband and I stayed at Stone Hill Inn for 5 days and then had an elopement ceremony on our last day (the Sunday Garden elopement package, if I recall correctly!). Kristie and Todd, the owners, were so wonderful the whole time and went out of their way to accommodate our requests and make sure our ceremony went smoothly. The elopement/marriage options are a blessing, with all the important details taken care of. Stone Hill Inn is an incredibly warm and welcoming home away from home, and it couldn't have been a more perfect place for us to get married. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and filled with flowers and gorgeous landscaping - there are plenty of places to walk, different trails around, and picture opportunities. Every room has sliding doors that open to the backyard area, each with a different beautiful perspective. We were lucky enough to have 4 of the rooms reserved for friends and family attending our ceremony, so we got to check out their rooms as well - every room was excellent. The double-sided fire place between the bedroom and the bathroom is a wonderful touch, and we all used them often while we there - in the cool summer evenings, or just to be extra toasty while luxuriating in the awesome jacuzzi bath. If you have the opportunity, take the smores package and enjoy them around the fire pit - it is perfection. Breakfasts in the morning were delightful, with a savory or a sweet option to choose from. The location of Stone Hill Inn is just a short drive from the downtown/Main St area, and is even closer to some of the great restaurant options. Kristie recommended 4 different places for us to try - we loved them all. The only warning I have about staying here is that it will be incredibly difficult to leave. I can't wait for us to return for future anniversaries. Thanks again to Kristie and Todd (and Tony!) for making our trip so beautiful and memorable.Rooms: Really beautifully decorated, and well set up. Everything you could want.Nearby activities: So many nearby waterfalls! Gorgeous, and there are different hiking/walking trails to each one so you can choose more difficult treks or an easy quarter mile.Food & drinks: The breakfasts at Stone Hill Inn were great, the coffee was good. The surrounding restaurants had some of the best food we've had - highly recommend Idyletime Brewing, Salute, Bistro at Ten Acres, and Michaels on the Hill. (make reservations for the last 3)
