We love this resort! The skiing at Stowe is the best on the East Coast and the lodge is such an incredible place. Diane Cawley from the reservation team is absolutely fantastic! She was super helpful in our booking process and went above and beyond with customer service - Thank you, Diane! This is our second time at the lodge and we will be returning for sure!!

Rudest staff of an hotel I’ve ever been inside. Exorbitant prices for average facilities.

I waited three days to write this. I do my best to never leave negative reviews. What bothers me about this place is that no one seems to care. When we arrived at check-in, they told us it was a two hour wait for our room. They sent us to the restaurant which told us promptly that there was no room. When I asked the restaurant where I should go, they suggested I go to the lobby. Went to lobby, and there was no room because there were literally dozens of other families in the same situation. This was at 7 PM. Many of the families I talked to had been there for more than six hours, always being told to it was only 20 more minutes. We ordered room service the next day as we got ready to ski. Then we got a message saying that If we wanted the food we ordered and paid for we would have to go pick it up.Came home from a day of skiing and mysteriously the bed had been made but nothing else has been cleaned. Dirty linen on the floor, dirty dishes in the sink and the trash hadn’t been emptied. It was like someone asked a teenager to clean it.Keys worked sparingly and had to be replaced three times in two days.Kids food was unavailable for kids at dinner time because, as the wait staff told us: “ the person in charge of that isn’t here today.”Listen, I know this reeks of privilege. All of these places are a better day than I probably deserve. But if you’re considering for your family, go somewhere else. It’s not just that it’s a terribly run place, it’s that no one seems to give a d#%n

What a beautiful location with a lot of missteps. To start when we booked I received an email saying the concierge will reach out shortly to plan our stay, from dining to spa.Days go by and I haven’t heard from them so I call, no answer. I call again in a couple days, no answer and leave a VM. Finally the day I’m flying out I call and leave another VM saying I’m about to take off and want to plan our trip and asked them to email me. I received and email back basically saying concierge is out of town until the following week and basically “book it myself”. Which is totally fine I can book myself but by the time I was given this information the spa was booked for the entirety of my trip. When we arrive no valet was around, no one helped us with our bags with our vehicle or opened the doors once during our trip arriving or leaving. The rooms are cute but the bed gave me horrible back pain it was so hard. We asked for a pillow topper for the bed and they didn’t put it on they just opened the door and left it on a bench. It wasn’t a pillow topper it was a mattress stain protector. We went to get our gear from the ski shop in the hotel and the guy helping us was super apathetic and unfriendly.Lastly when we wanted to go ice skating, we walked by the rink where lots of people were skating and when we went to get our ice skates at 5:15 and they were closed … we went to the front desk of the hotel to ask about skates and she said “they close at 6:00pm” . Well great it’s 5:30pm can we get skates ? They looked closed … “well sometimes they close at 5:30pm”. We were there at 5:15pm. Her response “I’m not sure what you want me to do”.Overalls the place was a huge disappointment. Only plus was food was good and our servers were wonderful.

The only reason I am providing 4 stars is that everything within the hotel is so expensive. However if you get a room with a kitchen you should be able to save some money on food. Service was great and rooms were clean! The ski in and ski out really made it worth it.

What a location! It has been about 7 years since I last stayed here and I have to say they have impeccably maintained the resort. There are some things that are past its expiration date including the mattress which was a substantial issue for us. The spring mattress was so uncomfortable that my husband and I only got a few hours sleep every night. The safes they bought are junk according to security they’re new and are constantly having issues like ours where the battery fails and then they have to come and fix it. We upgraded after checking in for a fireplace room and paid regular upgrade price which was fine but online they say the rooms are larger and if anything they definitely feel smaller but the fireplace was most important to us so we stayed in that room.Everything closes very early we were really surprised the ice skating rents only 12-5 and that some things weren’t open at all certain days considering it’s peak season it was disappointing. I tried asking around about a play space for my toddler for tubing snow angel fun but they don’t actually have anything outdoors besides the pool because everything is actually owned separately by the ski business Stowe mountain resort. There was a young valet who took off while we were taking our son out of the car luckily my son had just been taken out when the door slammed shut while he was driving away he stopped the car but didn’t even have the decency to get out make sure we were ok and apologize. Regular valet guy was great throughout the trip and he wasn’t there and no one else seemed to notice the event so it wasn’t recognized by staff so I hope they read this and put out retraining for the valet because that could have ended very badly. Will we be back? Time will tell we live only a couple hours away and the location is unbeatable for New England and the ski in ski out is helpful especially when you have kids. One thing is for certain if we go back we will be bringing a mattress topper with us and advil pm

Had a wonderful spa day. Treatments went very well. Wish the fireplace was lit in relaxation room. Whomever designed the layout must have been on psychedelics tho.

I wish I could give my stay here 6 stars for service alone. In response to my guest survey in which I mentioned a few relatively minor disappointments, a representative reached out to me in what I can only describe as a master class in accountability and customer service. Any place that takes the time to really listen to guest feedback and respond thoughtfully is clearly a place that takes the guest experience seriously. If you want a great family ski vacation, this is the place to go!

Location wasn’t ideal for out of town people and place is lacking major hospitality. Rooms were average and location to skiing was awesome once you settled in. The valet and bell boys where on it and a highlight. The energy was interesting and not really much to do. We had a terrible experience with completey power tripping security guard kicking us out of hot tub and being rude. He walked into fitness center and made us walk all the way around in the freezing temps. Good place overall but I will not be back. I was there for a conference and was disappointed with the overall experience as an avid traveler who knows hospitality well.Rooms: Very average for priceSafety: Worst security guards I’ve ever encountered. Rude and disrespectfulFood & drinks: Great food at conference!

The Lodge at Spruce Peak is without a doubt one of the best places to stay in Stowe, Vermont!! An upscale experience on every level! Beautiful decor, fantastic restaurants, elegant spa, and so much more! Great place to stay for a girl trip getaway! Our room was perfect! Very clean and spacious. I loved the high ceilings and walk out patio. A wonderful stay in Stowe!

For some reason, we thought we had two beds. I don’t even know why we thought that. That was a mistake on our part. Either way we were able to make do with what the room offered. We made a family of four fit in a one king bed, one pullout couch situation with the help of a cot (quickly received via fast service). Fun times. Amazing skiing!!! Kept myself consistently entertained forever even with some rain.Rooms: Spacious and clean feeling. “The 50lb door to the bathroom was annoying” -Amy LaBrant, CT. King bed was white comfy. “No” says Christopher LaBrant, CT when asked about comfort regarding the pull out bed. “Back hurt for full day.” Cool kitchen features.Nearby activities: Skiing on Stowe immediately outside, ice skating, indoor rock climbing, pool, gym, spaWalkability: Outside had a beautifully lit village with sectioned stores and eateries as well as a quick path to the over easy Gondola leading to the main mountainFood & drinks: The food was peak nutrients. Great choice for breakfast, including fresh fruit, many juices, and pastries. Dinner was swell. I enjoyed my steak frites.Noteworthy details: Wonderful lobby with nice lights and overall great ambience. 20/10 location. Perfectly close to skiing.
