I couldn't imagine a more perfect family vacation spot. TP offers multiple children's groups, based on age, and each group has a full schedule of activities for the entire week. They participate in outdoor adventures, swim often in the pool and the lake, do water sports, crafts, gardening, etc. Also, each age group has a special "home base" location that often has its own special play area and is set up for the special needs of that age group. Each person receives a bike for the week, and even the furthest away accommodations (like ours) are still walkable (~10 mins) if needed. While the children have a full morning and afternoon schedule, parents have that time to sign up for their own planned activities (everything from guest vs staff softball, to canoe trips, to yoga) or engage in their own activities available to everyone such as non-motorized water sports, reading or completing a puzzle by a fire in the Inn, hiking, lying in a hammock, swimming, etc. There is also a planned cocktail hour leading into a candlelit dinner every night (adults only as children have dinner with their groups followed by a special evening activity) as well as a themed nighttime activity after dinner if parents want to hire a counselor as a babysitter for the late-night activities. The late afternoon also includes different family activities each day, some of which are so popular the staff have to draw names. These can include a pond adventure, family craft time, family fishing boat ride, etc.Accommodations, food, drink, kids' programs, and adult and family activities are all included in the price. The only additional costs are alcohol, motorized water sports (non-motorized are free), certain outings (such as the "champagne cruise" -- pontoon boat ride along the lake with champagne), and services such as babysitting, massages, bike riding lessons, etc. There are no TV's in the accommodations, and even signups for the next day's activities are low-tech with the sign-up sheets posted on a bulletin board near the front desk. It's the perfect place to wind down for a week away from the rest of the world. That said, sometimes responsibilities don't just stop for 7 days, and there is Wi-Fi at the Inn (which is the main gathering spot for all adult meals and cocktail hours, and houses the bar, front desk, back porch, etc.)I never thought we would be the kind of family that returns to the same place over and over, but Tyler Place is special. We have gone 2 years in a row now and can't wait to return in 2024. The counselors are absolutely amazing and the child to adult ratios are ideal! It is nearly impossible to truly vacation with children, but this place makes it easy. Our children have an absolute blast and are so engaged on a daily basis they crash into bed each night. I look forward to watching our children grow each summer here, and only regret not finding this place sooner.

Tyler Place was an incredible experience. I was looking for an all inclusive within driving distance. I do not like cruises or theme parks. It's a really nice fit for a certain type of customer, after reading dozens of reviews we booked and I went in optimistic but unsure if we would go again. Our 3 and 8 year old daughters loved the daily programming 8:30-1:30 then 5:30-8:30. We ate all of our meals separately from our children.I mostly slept in and sat by the pool while my kids were in program. Others golfed, played tennis, sailed, played pickleball, water aerobics etc. My favorite part were the evening 'booze cruises' we went on two. We also opted on for family photos which were excellent. These items as well as laundry service, alcoholic beverages and nighttime childcare was not included but when we checked out our final bill was less that I expected. My kids went rock climbing, rode a pony, went on pirate cruises, crafted and got lots of time in the water. My daughter turned 4 on the trip, which was fun and very special. The accommodations were great, small and tidy but all we needed. We spent very little time in our unit. Food was solidly good- my husband is on a strict diet. Pescatarian/vegetarian and there were so many choices for him. Bring 2x the sunscreen and bug spray you think you may need. Pack your passports- one day we went on a quick trip to Canada for lunch and some duty free shopping. The family that owns TP works here. It's been around since 1933. The staff is from all over the world. Lots of interesting and fun families from the US and beyond. We asked to change our week and hope we can get in for 2024.

We just returned from the most magical week at Tyler Place. My children had such a great time in their respective groups! They learned so much and had the opportunity to experience so many cool activities on the lake. The food was also incredible! You don't have to think about where or what to eat. They also were very attentive to allergies and special diets.Highly recommend Tyler Place for a wonderful family experience that you will all enjoy and come home feeling refreshed!Food & drinks: Food was incredible- buffet style. There was a theme for the meal, but plenty of options for everyone within that theme. Desert at every meal as well as salad, fresh from the farm!Drinks were creative and very reasonably priced.

As the sun gradually descends toward the horizon, streaks of warm golden light stream through wisps of scattered clouds, casting a breathtaking glow across the landscape. The radiant beams touch the surrounding mountains, highlighting their majestic peaks and creating a serene silhouette against the darkening sky.The colors of the sunset intensify, painting the heavens with a palette of vivid oranges, deep purples, and soft pinks. The tranquil lake nearby mirrors this magnificent spectacle, as its calm waters reflect the vibrant shades with stunning clarity. The atmosphere at Tyler's Place becomes enchanted as the air grows still, and a gentle breeze carries the faint scent of blooming wildflowers. The sound of birds singing their evening songs serenades the scene, providing a melodic backdrop to this natural masterpiece. As the sun sinks lower, it paints the sky with a final burst of fiery brilliance. The horizon becomes a fiery gradient, merging the warmest hues with the cool tones of twilight. Now tinged with shades of mauve and crimson, the clouds appear as if they were brushstrokes of an artist's masterpiece. As the last rays of sunlight gradually fade, the world envelops a peaceful serenity. One by one, the stars begin to emerge, dotting the sky with their sparkling presence. The landscape at Tyler's Place is transformed into a tranquil haven where one can't help but feel a profound connection with nature and a sense of awe at the beauty of the universe. The sunset at Tyler's Place in Vermont is a captivating experience, leaving a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to witness its ethereal display. It serves as a reminder of nature's fleeting yet profound beauty and the importance of taking the time to appreciate the simple wonders surrounding us.

You'll LOVE this place if you try it! It's the best experience, particularly for families with children, that you can get, quite possibly, in the ENTIRE COUNTRY! The Tylers started this camp sometime in the mid 20th century, and it has evolved into a truly immersive escape from your hectic life. As Mr. Ted (Tyler) shared with a grin, "You could never build something like this today." So, if you haven't breathed -- really breathed deeply -- of good fresh air, if you haven't felt the kiss of clean cool lake water on a hot summer day, if you haven't laughed recklessly with that someone special to you, stop what you're doin' and check this place out. I'm not paid by these folks or otherwise encouraged to say these things -- it's all from my heart, after 7 seasons. You will cry when you have to leave and you will count every day until the next summer!

If we could give 10 stars, we would. We are speechless at how great of an experience we had at Tyler Place! The staff and ownership ALL make each and every guest KNOW that we are appreciated as they make us all feel like family. When there was a question or concern about anything, they were extremely receptive and quick to sincerely make it better or fix something. We can’t wait to go back next year and years to come. If you’re even questioning whether you should come based on these reviews, stop here and just get your reservation in now! You’ll wanna thank me!

Just finished our first week at this amazing vacation spot. Usually traveling with kids is not really a vacation but a trip . The way the Tyler family runs the resort is truly unique . Our 8 and 10 year old kids were out the door every morning at 8:30. We hung out with them for a few hours in the afternoon and they were gone for their evening activities promptly at 5:30. All of our meals were separate from them ! It was phenomenal. The food options are delicious (kid menu as well ) The staff were very kind and fun!Chad Tyler remembers EVERYONES name and makes you feel like you’re part of the family. My kids are already talking about returning next year! We stayed at the Butterball cabin which could use a tad of upgrading but for the amount of time we spent in the room it wasn’t a big deal .

This is our 12th year coming here and it's the vacation we look forward to all year. The property, people, activities and staff are always amazing and the kids' camp is great. There's such a long list of things to do, both planned and unplanned, and you'll always meet some great people while doing them. Definitely recommend!

Still requiring "vaccines" for children and adults in 2023, despite overwhelming evidence that this medical treatment is risky for young adults (and adults alike). This is discrimination, period. It is unscientific, has nothing to do with public health, and absolutely appalling. Shame on you, Tyler Place!

This place is amazing. The activities are great, the camp experience for kids is great, and they have great activity choices for adults as well. My only complaint was the bed... it was extremely firm and caused me a fair amount of back and hip pain.

Best family vacation I've had to date! Highly recommended for young families with toddlers looking for great accommodations that allow everyone to have a true vacation.
