“My husband and I stayed at the Strong House Inn for 4 weeknights in late October. We stayed the Adirondack room on the first floor of the Rabbit Ridge guesthouse. The room has a delightful ‘outdoorsy’ decor, a large and luxurious bathroom, and a private patio abutting a little birch forest. The bed and the bedding were very comfortable.

The common rooms and the dining rooms of the main house were spacious and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was fresh and flavorful, with an egg dish, a sweet side, and fresh fruit every morning. There were no choices when it came to breakfast, which may be a turn-off for some people.

The location of the Inn with respect to downtown Vergennes is a big plus. Several local restaurants, many of the city’s historic sights, and charming shops are one-half to three-quarters of a mile walk away. The weather was beautiful, and my husband and I enjoyed strolling to and through the city many times.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Inn, and would recommend it as a relaxing and beautiful Vermont place to stay.”

The views of the lake were amazing. We left North Carolina to get out of the heat and take in some beauty. We got both. Highly recommend.”

“We had a great stay at the Inn last weekend! The rooms were really nice and bed was comfy. I had only 2 hours to stay due to the flight delays on Friday, so it was really difficult to get up for my hike. On my way out with my friends for the hike, the owner stopped us and offered us fruit due to our travel difficulties. The owner was very sweet and helpful! I highly recommend staying here.”
