Tempest Book Shop is a delightfully chaotic and eclectic gem in Waitsfield. It is an absolute favorite bookstore, quirky and eclectic, with an eclectic selection of new and used books, cards, puzzles, records, and more. The shop is chaotic in the best way, where you can easily spend a whole day rummaging for unique books. They have sections for new and popular releases, kids books, romance, history, cooking, and so much more. The owner is kind beyond words, very kind, and one of the most interesting and extroverted people. He sure knows his books and has so much knowledge to share. He takes the time to talk with each customer and make them feel welcome, often sharing stories. He does his best to offer competitive pricing and even generously donates money from used book sales to a local food bank. Customers always leave with a stack of gems and find it well worth a visit.
The gentleman who owns the store is kind beyond words. Left with many gems I look forward to reading. Could not recommend more highly.

Man, Rick, the owner sure knows his books. He had the book I was looking for plus others I ended purchasing. We shared all sorts of stories also. We absolutely love the shop, We'll be back.
