Tempest Book Shop is a delightfully chaotic and eclectic gem in Waitsfield. It is an absolute favorite bookstore, quirky and eclectic, with an eclectic selection of new and used books, cards, puzzles, records, and more. The shop is chaotic in the best way, where you can easily spend a whole day rummaging for unique books. They have sections for new and popular releases, kids books, romance, history, cooking, and so much more. The owner is kind beyond words, very kind, and one of the most interesting and extroverted people. He sure knows his books and has so much knowledge to share. He takes the time to talk with each customer and make them feel welcome, often sharing stories. He does his best to offer competitive pricing and even generously donates money from used book sales to a local food bank. Customers always leave with a stack of gems and find it well worth a visit.
Love a local book store that has character. The owner was a pleasure to talk with while the wife looked for books.

My goodness the stuff is packed in here. It is worth going in to see the chaos. The guy running it is friendly and very chatty. Chatty me up so much I didn't have time to look at all the books.
