This is a little different than I expected. The house is old (1860's) which is a plus. Our bed was comfortable. The soap they use for laundry is plant based, which is unusual for me but maybe not for others. The food prepared seems very natural or healthy. The oatmeal was great. The setting is rural and picturesque and pleasant but not very far away from town (maybe a mile??) And yes, it snowed.

Stayed here during the autumn leaf tour. Outside appearance looked nice. Our room was old and dirty. We had no water pressure to take a shower. Just trickled down the wall. We had leftovers from lunch we had hoped to heat up for dinner and nowhere to reheat it . Breakfast was ok but spartan. Very little choices. Would not stay here again.Rooms: Old, no tv, dingy, furniture is old yard sale stuff

Came to this lovely Inn for a retreat this past weekend. The venue is quaint and cozy. The hosts are absolutely incredible, providing delicious food and excellent service with love. The backyard is a magical wonderland with a beautiful inviting landscape, tall trees, the sounds of trickling water through the pond and trails to an amazing hike into nature. The room was comfortable and felt like home. Thank you Swanson Inn!

Great experience checking in and checking out! Perfectly located in charming village. Went canoeing in Blueberry lake, went to farmers market in Waitesfield, took a day trip to Burlington for an incredible bike ride around lake Champlain. Family loved it. Autumn must be unbeleivable. Food was great. one day i had delicous pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup and the next day....i kid you not, south Indian dosa! The innkeepers were great and accomodating. Room was clean. Grounds were clean. moments to the village. thank you! Looking forward to ski season too!

The place is ok, the rooms are lovely and spacious, but there is no telly on the room. Also the breakfast is very limited and does not offer a great choice. It's clean though and the location is good too if you want to escape the hustle and bustle.

A really proper bed and breakfast, no need for an airbnb as long as we have inns like this! Very pretty area even through a poor January warm spell. Jack Dana room was perfectly clean and charming and the old skeleton room key/locks are cherry on top. Breakfast and desserts delicious. Lovely stay when passing through!

The breakfasts were wonderful. The owners do a great job of hosting. If you want a B&B in a smaller town or quieter area, this is a great place to stay. An easy drive from Stowe (about 40 minutes), Waterbury, etc.

I absolutely love the Swanson Inn and I cannot say enough good things about it! Tim and Rick are the most welcoming and attentive hosts. Thank you, thank you, thank you!Tim and Rick cater to all guests but my experience as a thru-hiker was above and beyond anything I have experienced along the AT and LT.The dinner and breakfast is fantastic and are included as well as laundry and shuttle service. The Inn itself is large, historic, very clean and delightfully relaxing. There are many common areas for sitting, eating, playing games and listening to music via their Alexa speaker system. Each room has a bathroom, fan, AC, Wi-Fi and streaming service. They sell beer, cider and wine. They have a hiker box and hold packages. The property is wonderfully peaceful and has many private sitting areas to enjoy the natural setting. I almost forgot to mention the PIE on weekends!!!!!!! It’s amazing!!!!Being hikers themselves, Tim and Rick know what hikers need. If you are looking for a place to stop, dry out and rest you couldn’t find a better place!

I truly could not give higher praise for the Swanson Inn, from check-in to check-out. Tim and Rick's communication and responsiveness throughout our stay could not have made it any smoother. Not to mention, the comforters on the beds were insanely comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was more than I ever could have imagined--homemade muffins, local yogurt, homemade specialty items (like eggs to order and quiche). The outdoor space is also a fantastic to enjoy nature. Overall, a fantastic way to enjoy Vermont, and I will definitely be back!

This bed and breakfast is not just a place to stay; it is a retreat. It is set across from the river and in a very private plot of land. The stars alone are a reason to come. The small details like quality loose leaf tea in their beautiful tea pots and the amazing breakfast really sets this wonderful bed and breakfast apart. The owners are an absolute delight as well; I only wish I could have stayed longer.

A delightful place just 3+ miles down from Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. We were greeted in the parking lot even though it was 14 degrees. Room was charming and free from tech (yes, wifi and streaming TV are available). Tim makes a mean breakfast (a ham and cheese strata and blueberry pancakes when we were there) and Tim and Matt go overboard to make you feel welcome at every turn. There's tea (in a Tardis pot, which like the inn is bigger on the inside) and muffins and snickerdoodles. When we got takeout from a local place, Tim set the table for us to eat when we returned. We can't imagine nicer people or a better place to stay.
