I really enjoyed my visit to the Smuggler's Notch Distillery in Stowe Vermont! The distillery is very well organized and nicely decorated. They have a lot of great options of liquor and gifts to choose from, especially if you like maple, which I love!! I ended up taking far more home with me than I planned on! The tasting was very good. They only charge $5 for it however I made the mistake when prompted for a tip on the tasting I hit 25% gratuity and ended up paying over $75 extra based on the several hundred dollars I spent in their store not just on the $5 tasting! Oh well, a lesson learned to pay closer attention to signing receipts nowadays. The service was pleasant and helpful, so I have no complaints. It was a very enjoyable experience overall!

Visited here in the autumn of 2019. It was a wonderful experience and I remember picking up a bottle of their Dead Buck bourbon which has remained in my absolute top spot of all time for a number of years now. If you have the chance to visit, you absolutely should.

We happened upon this distillery after visiting the Cabot Cheese store and we are so happy we did! We did a $5 rum and whiskey tasting and wound up purchasing a maple liquor that I’m so excited to put out for Irish coffees on Thanksgiving!

Came in, asked to do a tasting, was promptly ignored while the employee served several other customers without acknowledging me.

More of a tasting room, not sure if the distillery is on site. pay $5 for a tester of the vodka. They did have free samples of their barrel ages maple syrup and some on sale so we went home with that.

I was not planning on stopping here because we had to cut a few places off of our trip because our AirBNB ended up being so far away, and with the road wash outs, but because we ended up being in the plaza I was very happy and excited we could squeeze this place in because they had a pickle board that I would've been very sad to omit from my life experiences. It fulfilled all my pickle dreams with spicy happiness. I even bought a jar to bring home, along with an extremely delicious maple syrup aged in a bourbon barrel. I may end up ordering all their pickle flavors once I get home they were all so good ?.The employee was super nice and informative and helped everyone decide what to try, as they also offered spirit tastings and flights. I would recommend for sure.
