“This place is the best! When I moved to Vermont from Maine my dog got attacked and bit by another dog and Mt. Mansfield Animal Hospital got us in immediately. They were so kind and caring to both me and my dog. The attack was very traumatic for us and I did not handle it well, but the staff took such good care of my dog and helped to calm me down. Then a few months later when my dog got really sick, they again got us in the same day (they were busy but still let us come) as I was very concerned about the symptoms my dog was experiencing. The people here genuinely care about the pets that come in and take care them as those they are their own. They also do not over charge and try to keep the final bill as low as possible. I can't say enough nice things about this place and would give them 10 stars if I could!”

We were there back when Dr Ellis was the sole Doctor (and original owner) at this hospital, ...in its infancy. We've stayed with them all through their growth, while adding staff and new Doctors and new protocols and changes through new owners. We're still there! The staff is very accommodating, supportive and prompt to reply when we have issues and questions! They have text capability on their primary phone number! Nice, no missed voice messages and need to call back! We've seen new staff and new doctors there in an ever-changing animal hospital, yet, whoever is at the counter or replying via text, ...the support for pet and client has never diminished at all. It is always A+. Like many businesses now, they have policies that I am fine with in these ever changing times and do be aware that pet care now is very expensive, no matter where you go for quality care. Be prepared for that. Always good vibes at River Cove.........if they can take you on as a client, I highly suggest you bring your pet to them. they will not let you down. They happily added my dogs to the patient list and I was super comfortable speaking with the person on the phone. She seemed to really care, set my account up quickly and even sent me a link to an app they they use to request an appointment, med refill, etc! I am super excited for my 1st visit in person!!”
