Everything is very clean, with a good mattress. The rooms look very dated but that’s part of the charm and historyFood & drinks: Wonderful Turkish restaurant beside the Coolidge. Delicious breakfast and dinner

The service at this incredibly interesting hotel was absolutely amazing and accommodating. They were very kind. My daughter had a medical procedure done and they went above and beyond the entire time we were there! Staff was very attentive and helpful. I can't wait to go back, and I'll be recommending it to everyone I know!Rooms: Very cute and rich with history.Noteworthy details: Again, I'll note that the staff was just amazing. We couldn't have been happier with the entire experience.

I was very comfortable here.Walkability: Steps to several places to eat, quaint shops. Amtrack train is across the way. Free local bus.Food & drinks: Try the waffle and/or protien shakes at River Nutrition next door! Hotel gives you a $4.50 voucher for breakfast there!!!

A hotel within a vintage building also offers a long-term stay (monthly basis) and hostel option (call for details, not available on the hotel's website). The hotel offers coupons for breakfast (guests have to pay the difference if the breakfast is more than $4.50) instead of standard breakfast (buffet/continental) options elsewhere. Phenomenal staff at the front desk provide great service around the clock (24 hours x 7 days).

I really enjoyed *my* stay.Let’s put this in perspective. I had to go to Dartmouth for a Hospital procedure, and the prep was not fun (colonoscopy- I’ll let you do the math), so I wanted to stay somewhere closer to the hospital than where I live near the NY state line. Here’s a summary:PROS: staff is amazing, location is pretty easy to find, parking also, historical property, no frills, mature crowd (as in no kids “riding elevators” or running down hallways or babies crying), no weird delinquents hovering around the property, etc. I really appreciated the train sounds, as they run through early morning and if I lived there and didn’t hear the regular train schedule my subconsciousness would probably wake me up lol. I did enjoy the old school building vibe and kinda felt like I was staying at my aunts historical 1840’s catalogue home, likely updated around the same time in the 1930’s.CONS: My husband is 6’1” and the shower nozzle was too short for him. (This is a regular issue at most hotels so nothing new for him to complain about.) Exterior hall noise. It’s an old building so yeah, the floor creaks when you walk around. He seemed to sleep ok so I think this was just in the morning when people started to be checking out and things as we were right by the main stairs so lots of activity. Parking is tight and when workers started to show up in the AM I was nearly blocked in my spot. Also the trash/recycling is collected at a very early/disturbing time frame and if I’d been there on a pleasure stay I’d have been irritated. If I were in the area solo, I’d totally stay there again. Safety was no issue. My husband would insist on another location. The downtown looked absolutely adorable and I’d kinda wished I’d had some time to explore.Rooms: Very clean, sheets were comfortable, very basic but had everything I needed. (Could use some USB ports so bring your block and charging chord.) Temperature is dictated by the hotel. I love thé old iron heater grates. Plenty of towels and toiletries.

I gave the " rooms" catagory a 3 star only because of the lack of updated outlets...little needs be done except cosmetics...it retains it " boutique" and vintage style. The staff is phenomenal...they bend over backwards...Thank you and see you soon.Rooms: Loved the wallpaper...pleade dont remove when you renovate.Nearby activities: If you are a skier...choose this place...Other hitrls closest to the most known ski areas are 3-4 times the price. If coming to visit Dartmouth college...awesome...stay at the Coolidge.Safety: Very safe...walkable...Walkability: Its very well centered with unique restaurants and bars nearby...a train stain,...and major highways just a few miles away...Food & drinks: Excellent unique restaurants,...higly recommend Thyme...go earlyNoteworthy details: There is lots of history to this hotel...go there to learn and see.

I stay in a hotel an average of 120 nights a year and while staying at a cookie cutter Hampton Inn or Courtyard and getting my free bottle of water and bag of chips for being a Diamond level guest is nice, I really love it when I have the opportunity to stay somewhere like the Hotel Coolidge.Historic building, walking distance to restaurants and shops (and Amtrak), and a short drive to just about anything you'd want in Lebanon, NH across the river. It is about a 10 minute drive from the Lebanon Airport.I had a King Suite with separate living room and one and 1/2 baths. Very clean and furnishings in good repair. It was nice to have a minifridge and microwave in the room, hidden away in a little wet bar closet. It's also great to be able to relax and watch TV in a hotel room without sitting on a bed or a rolling desk chair like most hotels. I stayed on a cold night in February and appreciated the two rolling electric heaters in the room to regulate the temperature. Impressive building with friendly staff at check-in, and at check-out even at 5am. Free coffee and water is available in the lobby. I thought it was very good value at the price. The only very minor challenge is parking on a busy night downtown. The hotel does have parking behind the building but it is limited (and it had recently snowed so not everyone was in the marked spaces) but I was able to find a spot on the street that was fine for the night.Hotels like this are vital to keeping historic downtowns alive and I am happy to be able to be a patron. I've also posted recommendation on an Amtrak group I am in as this would be a perfect weekend excursion up from NYC on the train.

5 stars all the way this trip. We will ask for room 222 again! Andrew and Judith are fantastic!Noteworthy details: The hotel is historic and located in downtown White River Junction, VT. It is “grand” in the spirit of the early 20th century. We love it!

This place is long overdue for a total make over. I'm not usually very sensitive to air quality but as soon as I got in there. I felt like I was going to go into a sneezing fit. The room was kind of gross and weird, way bigger than it needed to be. There was lots of noise from the radiant radiant heater and outside in the hallways felt like nonstop traffic. I couldn't sleep. The staff was very friendly though.

My girlfriend and I were in the area Friday and found ourselves here for the night. I'm not gonna lie we were a little sketched out at first but we ended up really enjoying our stay here. The room was big and very clean. This is really an amazing old building with some really cool history not to mention it is located in the perfect spot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know . You really can't beat it especially for the price! So anyone in the area, if there is a room available do not hesitate to stay here, I think you'll really enjoy it!

Such a gem! Loved the magic of this special place. Not very comfortable beds but the magic of the location, the rambling building. and friendly staff made our stay so fun. Really feels like you are on the set of an old movie. Great fire place with coffee table books to enjoy.
