A bit of a free-for-all dropping of trash in the building but otherwise fine. Also they don't change the red light to green so you know when they're ready for you to drive onto the scale. I couldn't find the per ton fee online but it's currently (3/20/25) $189.57 per ton.

Our entire neighborhood is cutting ties with this company. While we do live on a dirt road with a hill, that once in a while could be challenging for the truck, we have been told countless times when the road is dry & in great condition that they cannot serve us because of the weather. Some service agents over the phone have been understanding, but others have argued with us. Their own driver’s photo evidence doesn’t match our street. We’ve gone weeks without service for no reason. If you’re short handed say that and be honest. They tell us that they will send out the truck the next day, when they full well know they will not. They tell us they will refund us for the weeks we didn’t get service or that they will take the overflow the next week and they don’t do either. Leaving trash on the roadside attracts animals and creates an unsafe environment for them. Entirely unreliable, dishonest & rude. Very poor communication and leadership within the company.

We have had the worst service from this company. They took almost 2 weeks to bring us trash cans but they cashed our payment and applied it to our account immediately. Then over the last year they have missed our recycle numerous times. Giving us every other week as the only option even though numerous trash companies locally do it weekly. Now I've had enough after 3 times now they just didn't pick up our trash. This last time they promised to pick us up the next day for 4 days in a row until finally just telling us they will come the next scheduled week day. We live a stones throw from Suzie Wilson road in essex. They have probably passed our house 50 times with different trucks. Are we just supposed to start piling it up outside on the ground? Isn't there some law for trash removal in VT to help against these losers? Don't be fooled by their cheap pricing. Not worth your time.

June 2023I've had to call Casella 4 times to get my trash picked up and my trash is still at the curb. There is no explanation for why they missed the pickup and no follow up from the call center agents. I'm a forgiving and understanding person but after having to call them 4 times, I have now lost my patience and understanding. It would have gone a long way had they apologized and showed up when they said they were going to show up.July 2023I'm editing my original poor review because Carolyn called me and frankly explained the challenges that the business is having. I do so appreciate her being forthright with me and for apologizing. I'm confident that they will address these issues in the future!Service: Trash removal & disposal

I am leaving this review.. just so everyone can know this guys are the worst they literally ran me of the road into a curb. They did not care if I was hurt or not. Then they decided to continue on there day had to catch up to them to let them know what they did was wrong and that they damaged my vehicle. They proceeded to laugh and say it was all on camera and very rude about it l. I really hope this guys get what they deserve and no one should ever hire this guys.

I have had them as a trash/recycling collector for 6 months. they have picked up my recycling TWICE!!! i call every other week when it would get left after I put it exactly where it should be. I know trash pickup isn't brain surgery but there are 5 complaints in the system. cancelling immediately.

Constantly missing pick ups. Have to call for it saying you've missed so many weeks and the customer service saying well it's marked we picked up. I offer to take pictures showing that isn't true. They'll finally pick up then go back to skipping. I'll call again and they say they'll be coming the next day and then not come. I'm just a renter in an apt building so I don't have control over who we use. However, if I owned a home I would never hire this company. As it is I'm letting my landlord know because she shouldn't pay them for weekly pick up when they don't actually pick up weekly.

We have used Casella for years for regular trash and recycling pick up, and have been fairly happy with the pick up service itself but I must say the customer service is awful. When we moved just a couple towns over, we wanted to transfer our service and I had to call multiple times and talk to multiple people to accomplish this simple task. More recently, I called to inquire about appliance removal. The girl on the phone said she had to send an email to find out if it was possible and she would call back when she got a response. I gave it a couple weeks and didn't hear back so I called. Someone put in our file that they called and left a voicemail the next day, which I am certain is untrue. I don't get many voicemail these days, and when I do I don't ignore them. It's possible they called because I have a missed call from that day (but Google search on the number did not return Casella, so I'm skeptical). I think there is room for improvement here.Service: Furniture removal

Most convenient and we'll managed drop off center I've ever visited. Traffic can get a little disorganized at times during a rush, but if you show up at the front or tail end of their working hours its all good.I do wish there were a few more centers around the state!
