Adopting a pet can be stressful. The VT English Bulldog Rescue had amazing communication and compassion. Couldn't have had a better experience adopting Jax.

I cannot thank VEBR enough for the experience and coordination and dedication that they have to making sure that everyone gets the dog or puppy of their dreams and right for their family. We are forever grateful for them all! Kona is perfect for our family!

We had such a positive experience adopting our 5 month old standard poodle pup with VEBR! Communication was great with Nichole! The team there are doing a great, hard working deed supporting these animals to a better life. I am so grateful for the love our Elliott (used to be named Poseidon) has brought us and that we are able to show him!!? Thank you! UPDATED PHOTO AFTER 2 WEEKS WITH US. LEARNING AND GROWING, WE ARE IN LOVE.

I contacted VEBR about a smaller female dog, which had been taken already. They took the time to research my home lifestyle, my current pets, and my previous pets. They came up with a match of a little boy named Bud, who had been saved from a kill shelter in San Antonio after being found on the streets with puncture wounds. He was vetted, microchipped, and placed in a foster home and no one had spoken for him. I saw those eyes and that did it. He was sent on the transport with 62 other dogs, all who had been saved from being in a landfill situation after being euthanized. This little guy is such an absolute sweetheart of a guy, and he only wants to be loved, all the time! He is the same age as my other female puppy, and overnight they have bonded with no problem. I am glad that Buddy had not been taken, because he is just what we needed. These people spend their lives saving dogs so they can have a good life. The amount of effort to do this is massive at both ends of the transport, but it was seamless the day of pickup. Thank you SO much for Buddy, and for doing what you do. I would recommend them to anyone.

This rescue is awesome! We got our dream pup. They clearly love their dogs, and do their homework to make sure you are matched up ok. The price is right and they come UTD on everything! They even check up on the dogs after you take them.

I recently adopted a pup through VEBR. I did not adopt and English bulldog, but opted for one of their pups coming from Mexico! He was living with a foster down there who did such a wonderful job with him. He came to us confident, well socialized, and full of spirit. He’s been an amazing addition to our family.Throughout the adoption process VEBR was responsive and answered any and all questions I had. I was ableto communicate with his foster mom on a daily basis and get all of the updates and videos I desired.Pickup day was well organized and Luke seemed happy and relaxed off the transport despite driving for two days. Everyone at the adoption event was friendly, helpful, and kind! I truly can’t recommend VEBR enough!

We adopted our sweet Beau in April 2023 through Vt English Bull Dog Rescue. They were great to work with and communication was stellar. I highly recommend them if you are searching for a fur baby of your own.

I just adopted a dog from VEBR and highly recommend working with them! The whole process was smooth and easy, and it is clear how much the volunteers at VEBR care about their dogs. The dog that I adopted has been so incredibly gentle and sweet and I am so grateful that they gave her the second chance she deserves.

I'd like to know how the staff at this place had absolutely no idea that the dog I went to adopt (and did adopt) was not only DEAF, but has severe PTSD from abuses suffered before they got him. Furthermore, Dawna led me to believe that my dog was 4 years old when I adopted him when in fact he is more likely 10 years old according to my vet who recently cleaned his teeth. My dog was NOT an English Bulldog. I'm sure if he was he would have gotten more and better attention than my dog did. This place should be closed for the sake of the animals.I'd like to hear an explanation from DawnaEDIT: I today is Sept. 22, 2023. I posted this review well over a year ago and Google says that it was posted a week ago. That is simply false information, which has caused confusion for some.

There's a reason that people want this rescue shut down and I guarantee it's more than just the noise. Make sure you don't inform them of anything going wrong with your pet's behavior when they call to check in unless you want to be met with rudeness, insults, and labeled as a "red flag". I was misled from the beginning and told my dog was good with small animals and cats, amongst many other things that weren't true. I don't think I was INTENTIONALLY misled but the information that they had from the previous owner about the dog being good with cats was clearly inaccurate. The dog recently killed my pet-sitter's guinea pig and almost killed my boyfriend's cat. Dawna is extremely unprofessional and has been extremely disrespectful!

We have been adopting our dogs through Vermont English Bulldog Rescue since 2019 and are forever grateful for their endless dedication to saving the lives of dogs and providing families with amazing canines. Dawna has guided us through the adoption process smoothly and seamlessly and has supported us before, during, and after getting our new family members. We are so thankful for finding our new dogs close to home and with the support of an amazing organization.

We adopted our boxer mix Ellie from VEBR two weeks ago and had a very positive experience. Ellie was transported from Texas and was everything we expected her to be. Quite honestly and more. She is a very special girl. Her arrival and delivery day went very smoothly. I have adopted from other shelters before. Once I got a dog with Parvovirus. And a couple of other bad experiences. Not with VEBR. We worked with Nichole and she was in communication throughout the process. We couldn't be more pleased.
