Our cabin was great! Clean, pretty, and it had everything you need. Even ground coffee. You're welcomed with fresh bread and eggs from the farm. We especially enjoyed the (free) farm shores in the morning with miss Jay. Kids loved it, as well as the natural playground.

We have stayed here 2 times and both times were magnificent.
I have vacationed all over the upper northeast from Kennebunkport to Hyannisport to White Mountains to Stowe to Bar Harbor—and I can honestly say this was my family’s favorite vacation by far.
The cabin atmosphere is rustic yet elegant and comfortable. The open floor plan provides the family a perfect way to bond without encroaching on space.
Furthermore, the details and accoutrements of the cabins were tasteful, functional, and mindful.
The farm eggs gave me a new lease on life. Ever since my first stay, I have been repulsed by store bought eggs. In addition, there are adorable lambs, alpacas, goats, and playful farm dogs.
My children loved the 8am chores and, afterwards, they all decided they wanted to live on a farm lol.
And the view, it is glorious. The best part of all.
Cleanliness is a priority and so is comfort and peace. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.
Lastly, by far, the best place in Vermont is: Woodstock, and Hartland is about 20 minutes away. A perfect vacation.

My family had an awesome trip here. The cabins are spacious and the location is beautiful. The kids loved helping to take care of the farm animals in the morning. Todd and Suzy were great hosts. We will definitely be returning!

We were here for a week and had a great time. We got to meet the animals each morning. Suzy gave a very helpful, hands on session on sourdough baking. Even our dog enjoyed her time.

Highly recommending to stay at the farm. Make sure to reserve early as their cabins get booked up pretty quick.
Jay was such a nice and friendly person, explained everything about the farm operations to us. We loved helping with the farm chores in the morning, it was so rewarding to feed the animals and spend time with them.
We also did the cheesemaking workshop with Suzy. She's a very knowledgeable and kind person. I leaned a lot more than I thought I would in her workshop. She was patient enough with our group as some of us didn't speak English and we had to translate everything.
I wish them the very best and hope to be back here soon

Perfect place for a relaxing Vermont getaway, whether for a couple or a large group! My friends getting married in the area booked all of the cabins here for our friend group during our stay in Vermont, and we even had the rehearsal dinner on-site in a nearby barn. The cabins were roomy, and the farm was beautiful and quiet, and it was awesome waking up to the sight of the farm animals and fog in the mountains every morning. The owners themselves were lovely people who left us farm-fresh eggs, delicious scones, and treats for our dog, and even started a firepit for us and our friends to hang out around late into the night.

My husband and I had the best wedding weekend at Fat Sheep Farm! The scenery was stunning and the vibe was so cozy—perfect for gathering with our closest friends. Our ceremony was nearby and we loved waking up to horses right outside our cabins. We had delicious bakery goods waiting for us upon check in as well as fresh eggs. The whole place felt like a little slice of paradise! Todd and his family are awesome and so accommodating. Can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a charming spot to celebrate or get away for a weekend. We can’t wait to return!

Fat sheep farm offered everything that we were looking for! A farm-stay for our family of five - pristine cabins, breathtaking views and endless stars at night and also up close hands on farm experience! It’s a rarity to find a place like this. The cabins are so cosy and clean. Minimalistic yet well stocked and you can truly see the high quality of the craftsmanship and design. There is a natural playscape for the kids on the property. Our children loved being able to help with the morning farm chores, milking the sheep , walking the goats out and collecting the eggs. The cabins are also close to Woodstock and Quechee! Perfect for a couple days of fresh air and peace.

Fantastic experience. Having coffee on the front porch of the cabin with sheep grazing in the meadow right in front of you is a great experience and relaxing. You can participate in the chores which is great for kids (we watched). Friendly and very knowledgeable Staff explain how everything works at the farm. And the sheep, especially the little ones, are awfully cute. A great experience and close to lots of restaurants and activities.

Everything about this stay was wonderful. Check in was incredibly easy, as the door to your cabin is left unlocked. Entire cabin (we stayed in Sunrise) was very clean. We were provided 6 eggs and two scones. All the basic cooking amenities were included. Coffee and tea is provided. In the shower there was Castile soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The integrity of the ingredients in these products was refreshing to see. I love a place that cares about their guests health and doesn’t skimp on high quality products. The cabin doesn’t have a TV, but we really didn’t miss that. The farm has several outdoor activities (corn hole, sand box, obstacle course) to keep kids entertained. WI-Fi worked well. I would highly recommend doing farm chores at least once. It was nice to get to be around the animals and hang out with them. Very reasonably priced place to stay for a wonderful getaway or vacation. I highly recommend.

We have returned several times to Fat Sheep Farm. We love the relaxed atmosphere, the comfortable and well-equipt cabins, the friendly and helpful staff. We appreciate the beauty of the land and enjoy all the animals. It is a happy place for both young and old, and a great location from which to explore myriad nearby activities, nature, and good restaurants.

Fat Sheep Farm was absolutely awesome. Beautiful surroundings. I spent every morning and every night sitting on the front deck gazing at the mountains that surround the property. The cabins are great and it is clear that a lot of thought has been put into every element. The beds were really comfortable It was a very nice surprise to find such a well stocked kitchen -- basics like salt, pepper, olive oil, cream and coffee and everything you need to whip up easy meals. One really nice treat is the home made scones and farm fresh eggs when you arrive. The eggs are really noteworthy as they really have great flavor when compared to store bought.
There is definitely no shortage of fun things to do here. Getting up to help with feeding the sheep and collecting eggs is a fun way to start the day. Great hikes at parks nearby. Several breweries and artisan distilleries are within a short drive. Lots of dining options.
I would highly recommend a stay here.

The hosts are truly excellent and farm chores each morning charmed my children that we have returned many times. My children also love the natural playground. Being in such a picturesque location and enjoying a comfortable stay is what has kept the parents returning too!
Rooms: The beds are comfortable and staying on the pull out is even cozy, too!
Food & drinks: There's a pantry on site for farm fresh sheep cheese of course. We've gone home with a farm t-shirt, too!
