We came here with neighbors and friends for the long weekend and it was super! Although we came with people we live near, busy schedules make it impossible to see each other so getting away was perfect. We rented four of the five cabins. The design is spectacular with each having a wonderful view. They are comfortable and pristine. The entire property is maintained in the most impressive standards. The barn is the cleanest barn I've every seen. It's obvious that Fat Sheep Farm is a labor of love and the guests also receive that from the farmer-hosts as well. 10/10 no doubt!

We came here on the recommendation of a friend in the summer time and it was fantastic! Farm chores are well organized. We enjoyed taking the older sheep to pasture, assisting to milk the mama sheep and collecting the chicken's eggs. We had a list of area spots to visit but instead stayed at the farm for our long weekend, enjoying our morning coffee looking out over the green mountains. Walking the mile long trail loop on the farm and slowing down. Our family just visited for our first winter trip and also participated in farm chores and the loved the sunsets. We did finally venture into nearby Woodstock to walk around the town and do a trail there, too. We ate at a tasty spot in Quechee and found a bakery in White River Junction. I highly recommend in all seasons!Noteworthy details: When you check in you have fresh scones and farm fresh eggs that complete your stay! What a nice touch!

The hosts are truly excellent and farm chores each morning charmed my children that we have returned many times. My children also love the natural playground. Being in such a picturesque location and enjoying a comfortable stay is what has kept the parents returning too!Rooms: The beds are comfortable and staying on the pull out is even cozy, too!Food & drinks: There's a pantry on site for farm fresh sheep cheese of course. We've gone home with a farm t-shirt, too!

Vermont has many special places. Sadly Fat Sheep Farm & Cabins is not one of them. Incredibly rude hosts. Dangerous ice to slip on and unpleasant cabin. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Wow where do I even start... This place was awful!!! The staff was more than rude, the place was a filthy mess, and just about every bit of our stay was a disappointment due to the farm's false advertising. This whole "farm and cabins" idea is obviously very popular especially around this area so definitely don't come to this wreck and i'd highly recommend looking into all of your options because just about every other one is better than this dump!

Such a perfect weekend destination! Our stay in sunrise cabin was perfect, with great accomodations and a lovely view of the animals!

I absolutely LOVED fat sheep farm. I can’t rave about this place enough to my friends. My family and I found our gorgeous cabin to be in pristine condition. The view from the front porch is so serene. I could not wait to wake up every morning and hang out with the sheep and the lambs. Morning chores is a must. They are the loveliest and cuddliest little ladies, we visited them as much as we could. Suzy, Todd and Jada were all so friendly, approachable, and made for an incredible experience.

Our kids enjoyed this vacation so much. We were all so sad to leave! As a family, we shared an experience that was so pure and grounded to nature. Highly recommend!

We ended not being able to stay here due to weather issues. However the customer service from the owners was outstanding. Todd called to check on us and offered several suggestions to help us out. We will totally be keeping this place on our list of places to stay if we are back in the area.

A perfect place to escape, nothing quite like spending time on a beautiful farm with cabins. The homemade cheese was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I took our 2 year old here for a long weekend and had the most magical time! We stayed in the Four Corners cabin and it was perfect - super clean, has a fun “secret nook” filled with children’s books that our daughter loved, a beautiful kitchen and plenty of space for her to safely play. Enjoying coffee and playing on the front porch was such a delight and the natural playground they have is perfect for kids. Our favorite part was being able to participate in the morning chores - they really involved the kids in the tasks (feeding baby lambs milk, walking to goats to the pasture, “herding” the sheep in the morning) and we had a blast. Highly recommend coming here either with or without kids!

Todd and Suzy have really thought through the whole farm guest experience and it shows. Everything was perfect from the pristine cabin to “farm chores at 8”. As a solo traveler with my pup I felt right at home with the other guests. Great time! Highly recommend.Walkability: Lovely woods walk around the farm.
