I shopped twice at Norse House with great experiences. The owners and staff are very informed about the items they sell. I bought a ski jacket that I later realized was bulker then I needed. They guided me into a better shell jacket with no hesitation in the exchange. I later bought a mid layer ski vest for my son. I got the size wrong. He went to Norse House (without me) and they exchanged it with a better fitting vest that he really likes. And their prices are competitive with any deal you might find online. Norse House is my no-doubt-go-to location for future sports equipment and apparel.

Beware of Tom. I'm so sad that I have to write this. I thought they were very knowledgeable and we regularly bring race skis to get tuned there. However, I went and tried on boots and ended up getting Atomic boots up at SkiRack instead. When I went back with my new bindings and skis to get mounted, Tom started to berate me. He said I wasted an hour and change of his time when I was in last and that he wasn't giving me a drop more of information. He was intimidating and I had never had an interaction like this at any store before. I am a local and frequent this shop. If you go in and buy what he says and don't change your mind, he's very pleasant. The moment I went somewhere else and came back (to give them more business with the bindings) he flew off the handle at me. The guys at Bradley's are much nicer. I'll be giving them all of my business moving forward.

I've been going here for 20 years but things are now obviously different. I brought in an item for a repair, they "repaired" it and then it broke within 2 seconds of skiing. When I came back to the shop they could care less, did not give any sort of refund and made offensive comments. Go to the next store if you care about your stuff and want to be treated fairly

I rented skis there this past weekend. I have an extremely large calf and was turned away from other rental places. The guy in the rental department was awesome and used a few tricks of the trade to fit me in a boot that worked perfectly. Would highly recommend.

Just amazing how they cared so much about fitting my ski boots. I also got a cool ski coat there from Amundsen which is so warm.

It's not fun to write challenging reviews. I bought a Trek bike from a dealer near my home and keep it at my 2nd home in VT. The bike was recalled by Trek and the email from the manufacturer said not to ride the bike and to bring it to an authorized dealer and they would repair it for free. I called Norse House and was told they would only fix it if i brought the parts. How can i bring the parts if i can't get them from the manufacturer? More importantly, how can i get parts when i have no idea what's needed? The dude i spoke with at Norse was extremely unhelpful and a bit rude. I'll go elsewhere for skis and bikes.

I'm not one to normally write a negative review, but I was honestly really frustrated by my experience at this shop. The initial fitting of my ski boots went very well, but when I tried to get into my skis the next day at the mountain I found that the bindings had not been measured correctly at all. I had to go to the ski shop at the mountain (Stratton) to get them fixed, which was a great experience, but it did cost me money to do so. It took out about 30-40 minutes of ski time in addition to the money paid to re-size. When I returned my skis and boots the next day I told them about the situation and hoped that they would at least give a partial refund. What made me really upset was that they actually BLAMED me for the bindings not fitting, saying that I must have moved them myself by accident. I am sure that I didn't move them, and even if I did there's no way that I would have moved both of them the exact same amount. Just ridiculous. They said "that's why we tell people to take a picture before they go" but nobody told me to take a picture before I left the fitting.I honestly would have felt much better if they just took accountability for the mistake and said they were sorry - I understand mistakes happen. But to be blamed for a mistake in order to avoid accountability was just really disappointing. I hope others don't experience this same treatment.

One of the best sports shops in the area, especially if you're looking for new ski boots. No one better than Tom to fit your boots, making off the shelf almost as good as custom boots. Have bought our equipment here for over 30 yrs. Nothing else compares to the service.

Tom was terrific. I stopped in late in the afternoon after a wild goose chase with another local shop. Tom fitted my boots and set me up with everything so I could hit the slopes the next morning. Professional service. Fair price. Highly recommend.

Great group of people running this shop. Rented from them for a day at Stratton then decided to buy. Have always struggled with boots so got fitted and after a day in them feel 100x better. They really know their stuff and can made solid recommendations based upon your experience. They also give a lot of tips that help out a ton.

This is a true ski and snowboard shop. After having lived and worked in Lake Tahoe and Jackson Hole, I can confidently say this crew is doing it right. After having Alex help me last year get dialed on a new snowboard setup, he and another ski tech helped my wife get fit for seasonal ski rentals and a helmet. After going to two shops in Stratton's village where no one offered to help her fit her boots properly, Alex and crew went above and beyond to make sure my wife would be comfortable and ripping all season long. Can't say enough good things about this shop, their products, and service.
