“Not my first visit here but my first review. Holy cow - this place is fantastic! We've purchased a LOT of items over the years - ornaments, lighted houses, vases, etc. The staff are wonderful- especially Nathan this trip who went above and beyond to search for the lighted street scene (photo attached). In addition to all major holiday items, they have a Christmas Village based on a New England town. It's old but that's part of the charm (pics of previous visits attached). You can always find what you are looking for!”

“Thirty-Odd is a wonderful shop filled with goods from mostly-local makers - woodwork, pottery, prints, macramé, stained glass, apparel, games, stickers, jewelry, houseplants, stained glass, art prints, throw pillows, notebooks... and more!They are always helpful with gift suggestions, have knowledge of the makers, and have a an amazing wall of hilarious, sweet, and sentimental greeting cards.They share a building with a great coffee shop, juice/smoothie joint, and some of the makers they feature in store.I like the business model, too - makers rent the shelf space from Thirty-Odd and keep 100% of their sales. And Thirty-Odd doesn't require exclusivity from makers, allowing them offer their products in other nearby shops.”

“I'm local and have been to this shop quite a few times. I can spend a long time browsing because they have a lot of different things at all different price points. I've gotten gifts and cards here. Excellent selection of creative, high-quality cards for all occasions. One time I needed a gift for a friend who I find hard to shop for. I went into Common Deer, and someone approached me asking "Can I help you find something?" I started to answer "Yeah, I'm looking for---" and then my eye fell upon a decorative pillow that was unlike anything I've ever seen and that I thought my friend would love. I changed my statement to "You know, I think I'm just going to get this!" That was about six years ago and my friend LOVES it and has received many compliments and displays it with enjoyment.”

“Such a neat place! So many beautiful pieces of art as you stroll through and such a FUN time on Sundays for their family crafts! Staff is always super helpful and my kids love the projects they teach! We recently made dinosaurs with clothespins! Get out and enjoy some socializing on Sundays from 1-3pm”

“A really nice shop in Burlington for handmade jewelry and housewares, kind of perfect if shopping for unique birthday or holiday gifts. There were handmade pewter ornaments, spoons, earrings, picture frames and more, all (in my opinion) really reasonably priced! I ended up leaving with a stunning pair of mens cufflinks that I squirreled away until Christmas. When checking out, I also found out that Danforth Pewter has another store in my hometown of Portland, Maine!!!”

“I walked in this store not thinking much from the outside but as soon as I stepped in it was like I was meant to be there. This store you could walk around 4 times and still find new quirky gifts/pieces to fall in love with. I spent a bunch of money bc I just kept finding such unique things. I didn't go anywhere else in VT like this and highly recommend stopping in. Staff was super nice and friendly!!!”
