“What a fantastic butcher shop. I’ve driven past Snow’s Fine Meats & Provisions for years on my way through downtown Abingdon and finally stopped in. I only wish I had done it sooner. The selection is outstanding. Beautiful steaks, fresh pork, house-made sausages, thick-cut bacon, and just about anything you could want for a great meal. What really impressed me, though, was their commitment to sourcing quality meats from regional farms and supporting pasture-raised livestock. You can tell this isn’t just another meat counter. They genuinely care about the products they sell. I picked up a two-inch bone-in ribeye, Italian sausage, a filet mignon, and some of the thickest bacon I’ve seen in a long time. That ribeye turned into one of the best steaks I’ve cooked at home. It had incredible marbling, outstanding flavor, and needed nothing more than butter, salt, pepper, garlic, and fresh herbs to shine. The staff was friendly, the display cases were spotless, and everything looked exceptionally fresh. It’s the kind of neighborhood butcher shop that’s becoming harder and harder to find. If you enjoy cooking or simply appreciate high-quality ingredients, Snow’s is absolutely worth the stop. I’ll definitely be making it a regular destination every time I’m in Abingdon.”
