Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Everything in the room worked well. Breakfast was excellent with nice selections and quality. The reception staff were very friendly.

My family and I stayed in this location on 8/16/2025. We were immediately greeted and attended to. It was obvious that it was a fairly new location because it looked clean, shiny, and not at all rundown. I’ve stayed in many Hampton Inns and this was probably the nicest. The staff was polite and helpful, everything was clean, the towels were white, fluffy and not thread-bare, and the breakfast area was well-stocked, appealing, and tidy. Keep up the great work.

Very warm hotel, the staff was incredibly friendly. One of the best features...the cookies!😄 My room was clean, room service was good and again the staff was really nice. Everything about the hotel was on point, the only drawback was the food options in the surrounding area. About 11mins North of I-81 are more selections. Overall, I'd recommend, solid hotel!

Had such a nice experience for my birthday getaway with my 5 sisters! The property was very clean and the service was top notch from asking us if we need anything else when they were closing up breakfast (my sisters and I tend to loiter since we don’t get together frequently) to helping my one sister who had locked herself out through an adjoining door (they had to call someone offsite to handle the privacy door lock). Started off a little rocky as our rooms were not ready until after 4:30 (instead of the 3:00 check in time) but we had plenty of visiting to do while waiting.
Very welcoming staff and our first time in Abingdon.
Offsite the Creeper Trail and the Farmers Market were fun places we enjoyed.

I stayed here for a night during a road trip with my 4 children (3 babies under 2 and a 13 year old). Even for a night I had to haul a ton of things. The staff was very helpful giving me extra linens, pack and plays, and just overall making my stressful stay somewhat pleasant. The entire property is extremely clean and well maintained.
It’s a bit in the middle of nowhere from what I’m used to, but it’s a great place to get some rest in a comfortable space.

LOVED this hotel! By far the best hotel in the area. I pass through here once a year for work and always stop for a couple days to visit the Grayson Highlands. Have stayed at several other hotels in the Abingdon area, and this is absolutely the nicest. Clean rooms. Clean lobby. Very well maintained and modern. Breakfast is amazing for a hotel - ALWAYS stocked up, they keep refreshing food unlike other places, and it stays open until 10:30 thank god, and food options change daily. Staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. AND, they do not charge for parking which some of the other hotels in the area randomly started doing like they are in NYC or DC. Stay here, you won’t regret it.

If you are travel through in Southern Virginia or just staying in Abingon then stay at the Hampton Inn. This place is clean, close to route 40 and is pet friendly with kind and caring staff. Oh did I mention it is pet friendly. There is a small gated park for your dog to walk around without a leash; little pet treats at the front desk and they make sure to give you a nice tag to hang on you door to let people know a dog is in there. Additionally, they have a tasty breakfast with plenty of options if your a vegan or meat eater.

Friendly staff, plenty of clean amenities and right next to the interstate, what else could you ask for? This town is actually really old an cool with lots of good eateries I didn’t know about. This place has a nice little small pool, with a hot tub and an outdoor grilling area with a tv and chill area around the pool. I’m not certain it is a part of the hotel although I think it is, there is a tiny little dog park in the back parking lot for this with little yappy dogs.

All the previous reviews told the truth. Clean, comfy, great breakfasts and super friendly staff. Thank you, Rachel at the front desk for making sure we had the perfect room. You went above and beyond. And great restaurant recommendations. We chose Delta Blues bbq for the win!!. 🥰

Great Hampton Inn for our 1 night on the way through Abington. The hotel was very clean and updated. The staff, especially the “breakfast ladies,” were very friendly and helpful. The only “almost negative” was that the entrance into the parking area was difficult to discern as it was mixed in with entrances to smaller businesses. We drove by it and had to turn around. The sign is not easy to see.
