Do Not Buy from Sandpiper unless you shop around first. Their prices for motors are outrageous!! I'm talking about thousands of dollars overpriced. They really think highly of themselves and are very arrogant. Don't look for them to bend over backwards for you because it won't happen. They are lucky to even have the building they have...lol!

Great bunch of folks. I've bought 2 trailers and a bunch of parts and misc over the years all the way back to when they were at the old place in Accomac. They always take the time to research parts for me if I don't know exactly what I need. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I stopped at this place today to buy oil & filter for my boat motor and so I wasn't sure about the filter so I went up to the counter and 3 guys there and 2 was talking to what must have been a friend and the other guy seemed busy looking for something and so I stood there listening to these guys and FUNNY they were talking about people and working and so I am still standing there thinking wow talking about people not wanting to work and I thought ? Wow what about people that show up for work but just likes to stand and talk and not pay any attention to their customer's but anyway maybe they can have that discussion when they are closed because they're highly priced stuff is not selling and not because of the price but like myself after standing there and standing there I finally turned and walked out and on the way out someone yells can I help you and I yelled back and said don't bother.. Now in all honesty that this was the first time for stopping at this place so it maybe okay, However I wasn't to pleased and most likely will not return.

Sandpiper's owner, Vince is one of the finest business owners I have ever had dealing with. When I purchased my boat with trailer it was during the Covid19 pandemic and was lucky to get a boat in the first place. Love the Carolina Skiff I purchased but had some trailer issues and they took it in and the next day was fixed for me. Just recently I had more trailer issues and Vince went above and beyond what I expected he would do for me to correct the problem. Vince has a wonderful group of employees working for him that treat you with the up most respect and kindness. So, in conclusion, Vince, you are the man and have earned my respect. Thank you for everything and I wish you all the best life has to offer.

In the process of purchasing a new DF140 and Josh has been over accommodating while working with me on the phone .an email. Boat will arrive on 9-9-22 cant wait to meet Josh and staff.. so the boat and new DF140 motor with new steering system was complete a week early. I am updating this review to express my gratitude to Josh and all the employees of Sandpiper MarinaA year later and I am extremely pleased of the purchase and very pleased with the performance of the new motor and install. Very professional company and highly recommend Sandpiper Marina for repower and new boats. Thanks Josh for all the hard work.

BIG proponent of reviews and experiences: with that being said I'd like to just provide facts on my experience with Sandpiper Marine, Inc. (Accomac VA) Insight: Outboard motors are designed to tilt up out of the water when docked to eliminate electrolysis from destroying the lower gear units as well as slowing down/eliminating any growth on the propeller and water intake valves. ***After purchasing these BRAND NEW outboard motors, we quickly realized once back up in NJ that the tilt mechanism stopped the motors from coming out of the water. The entire lower unit is submerged under water at "full tilt". We requested to be present for the water testing down in Virginia before finalizing the purchase but we were told "we normally do the water testing ourselves and it's a liability issue if you guys are to be on the boat". We called Sandpiper to speak to mechanics/managers about this situation to which we were told by the main rigging mechanic Tyler "there's nothing we can do about this problem" and also told "your boat is a piece of shit" by one of the "managers" by the name of Josh. This place did well to make us feel like we were valued all the way up until we handed over the money to complete the purchase but once the transaction was complete, we were spoken to with a lack of urgency, lack of wanting to fix this problem, and lack of respect as a paying customer of thousands of dollars. I write this as a precautionary notice to think twice before doing business with this place as they did nothing to address, sort out, or fix the problem we currently have with our tilt programming. We are currently located in NJ, have spoken to countless outboard certified dealers up in Jersey who have all said the same thing, THIS IS A PROBLEM. *Unable to post pictures here, please see google review for pictures*

Worst Company I’ve ever worked for, paid me penny’s putting me through slave labor to Benefit themselves. I sanded 5 boats Perfectly. An asked for a raise they Denied me giving me a hard time an being Extremely rude. Never told me they where by weekly had needed the money from the work I did an they are refusing to give it to me . I do not recommend anyone bringing there boats there for work. Engines they can do. But anything else they will mess your boat up. I recommend vics fiberglass. He is Located in Exmore. He will treat you how you should be treated. An he does it all.

I just purchased 2 axles boat trailer. Vince took his time, and helped me to find a right trailer and setup. After the purchasing the trailer, I decided to service my boat and install a new trolling motor with them. I found that some people working here are strong Trump supporters. We are living in such a politically polarized society. I can see this place makes some people uncomfortable. We are all victims of polarized media (Alex Jones, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, Facebook, etc.).

This place is unknowledgable, rude and only interested in making money on new sales not helping the boating community. Their prices were marked one thing and rung up way more. When I asked about it he said the price changes too much to bother with fixing the labels. I couldn't believe the treatment. I hope people spending 70+k on a boat from them gets better treatment.

Why does a business have to indicate it’s political preferences? Was planning on looking at a boat and saw the “ Brandon “ flag flying. Hope you turned down all the stimulus checks that party passed and sent out. Oh wait I just remembered the last GubernatorialElection… let’s update Virginia is for Lovers. It’s updated version “Virginia is for Haters!” That’s much better
