I was hesitant to purchase a Zenith Firearm due to reading about some QC issues and customer service. I ultimately decided to take the risk and purchase one and hope for the best. I picked it up today and tried to throw on my tri-lug suppressor to find that the Zenith tri-lug adapter was way out of spec not allowing the suppressor to go on at all.(if the tri-lug adapter was not important to me I would have bought the K model instead of the P model)
I have not yet fired this firearm so I am unsure if there is any addtional issues however I called zenith and they told me I have to put in a RMA request and send my firearm away for 2-3 weeks after the RMA request is accepted which is extremely disappointing. I do hope this is the only issue this firearm has however I will not know for a bit now. Will update on timelines for RMA/ Any addtional issues found.
As it stands if you intend to purchase a firearm (in my case ZF-5P) do research and be prepared to potentially have to send it back in.
Update - 07/23
RMA was accepted.
Had to pay $26.30 for shipping materials to return item for repairs. Sent it back to zenith.
Update - Firearm was delivered to zenith 07/25. Followed up on 07/29 to make sure they received it since I didn’t get verification. They had received it and will be processing it in the next few days. Once processed they stated it could take 30-60 days!
At this point I am regretting my purchase.

Buyer beware! Do yourself a favor before you consider a firearm from Zenith, and Google Zenith zf5, and zf56 issues. The firearm i received was inoperable out of the box, and i could not even get through two full magazines. It failed to eject rounds, with or without a magazine inserted, and it also lodged rounds in between the charging handle and bolt. I lubricated it straight out of the box, and tried to run a multitude of rounds.
I contacted Zenith for a refund (which they don't do by the way) and now I'm stuck going through a Warranty fix for a brand new firearm. I'm very disappointed, and will update this review if my issues are resolved or worsen.

I purchased the MP5 full size pistol from them thru Atlantic Firearms over a year ago. I put a side folding wrist brace on it plus a lighted forend, what a fun gun to shoot, several hundred rounds thru it over the past few months with a variety of hand loads and not a single issue! No issue with a variety of magazines either during this time frame. I keep this firearm as my backup bedroom gun, after my H&K pistol.

0 stars if I could. I purchased a zf5p and ran 500 rounds 124gr and it still jams. This is the worst clone on the market. 7-10 malfunctions per mag. I’ve never bought a firearm that I’ve wanted to throw off of a mountain until buying a zenith firearm. I will be making a YouTube video for the folk that don’t believe me. Thanks for nothing zenith

I just received my ZF5P. The only issue I have is the first round out of the 30 round magazines (all 3) do not seat properly. I have looked closely at the operation of the weapon and the improper seating is due to the magazine having a brand new spring putting too much pressure on the bolt. This “can” be expected in a brand new firearm. I will put a few hundred rounds through it and leave the magazine loaded for a few weeks to fix this issue. If after 500 - 600 rounds the issue not corrected itself, I will change my rating. I have not called customer service, but I have talked to them over the phone and through emails during the ordering process. My phone calls were answered and emails (several) were promptly returned usually within 12 hours… ie the next morning.
3 months and 6-700 rounds later, I can say the magazines are 29 rounds not 30. Yes, I have the bolt open when I load it, and yes the first round seats in the chamber and fires. However, it does not cycle properly to load the next round if I start with a 30 rounds in a mag.

Sales rep for a suppressor manufacturer here:
I don’t have HK money, and a clone was all I could afford. I called several companies and Zenith was the only one who immediately got back to me.
(And I know what you’re thinking… No, they didn’t give it to me, I paid $1600 for the full kit.)
5000 rounds later (95% of those suppressed, and for those that don’t know suppressed guns get filthy) and I’ve had zero issues with it. NONE!
I’ve fed several different brands of 147 grain subsonic ammo with no feed issues, no cycling issues, nothing. (We have three different suppressors I use to demo, from 32db reduction all the way to 40db reduction.) Again, zero issues.
The only issue I have with the company is getting them to try our suppressors! 😢

After doing my research, I decided to go with an American made MP5 clone, and selected Zenith Firearms. Purchased a ZF-5 directly from them, and have had no problems with it... it's proven to be a great MP5. The sales and customer service at Zenith has been top notch.

Zero communication on email! I sent 3 emails regarding my order and did not receive any reply. Very disappointed in this company. I finally received gun but should have cancelled due to poor customer service! Hopefully I will never need warranty work!

Bought my zf5 over black Friday 2022. Had questions for customer service, and they were super helpful. It has truly become one of my favorite guns. I can't get enough of it. I just wish the mag seeding was a little more seemless. Regardless, I would buy it over and over again.

Ordering and shipping went well. After only 30 rounds the bolt locked forward on my ZF-5P. I filed a warranty claim last week and was told Zenith would send me a return shipping label. Here it is a week later, no lable and they are not answering thie phones. I do not have faith this will end well.

Customer service is abhorrent, possibly even non existent. I placed my order 9 days ago, I’ve sent 4 emails and gotten one vague response. I just want the product that they took my money for.
