My wife and I and our neighbors visited the winery yesterday. Jake was our tasting room attendant. He was friendly and courteous and very knowledgeable about the different wines we tasted. The wines were very good and we had a good time. We plan to go back again.

This was my second time to Old Farm Winery and I'm happy to give a 5 star review! Kimberly and Tony were so helpful in helping me set up for a party with my neighbors to make college care packages. They helped me choose wine (which everyone loved) and let me set up the Charcuterie on my own tray. The setting is nice and casual. Everyone had a great time -- we'll definitely come back! Thank you!

We just moved to the area and a neighbor had mentioned Old Farm to us. We checked it out on a Friday night with 2 young kids. My wife and I enjoy wine quite a bit but don’t know much about the Virginia options. The space is great. An area under cover with 10-12 tables or so including the bar area. And then a ton of picnic tables in the lawn areas. Great place when the weather is nice. 5/5The wine was pretty good. We both tried a flight with 3 whites and 3 reds. I thought the reds we tried were a good deal being in the mid $30s. The white were good but also in the mid $30s and that’s a bit much for me for a white wine unless it is really high quality. 3.5/5.Being there with the kids we needed to eat. The food options are limited. We got the Boar’s Head meat and cheese and it’s was literally a pre-packed Boar’s head you’d fine in the store. For the kids we got pizza, and yeah it’s not good and was $20 a piece. Now I have heard when they have events they bring in food trucks which would up the food good but we were just there on a normal evening. 2/5.Living near by, we were hoping this may be somewhere we could go to regularly as a family. And the thing is there are a few different neighborhoods in the “Hartland” area. Has to be well over 1,000 homes. And this is really the only game in town for food and drink being as close as it is.I’m not expert in this business and don’t know what it would take (cost, licenses, etc..) but if this place had a legit pizza oven and was putting out quality pizzas along with the wines, we would probably go once per week.As it is, not sure how frequently we would go back for a non-event visit. We will check others out in the area to compare.

This is a cute and super picturesque winery! The wines were good - I particularly loved the whites. The staff was also very nice and friendly.I do wish that the flights were served in actual glasses as opposed to little plastic cups. For some reason, that took away from my experience and I also felt like I was getting less wine than I normally would with a flight.

Old Farm is the sister winery to The Winery at Bull Run. You can do a tasting in which you get to try 7 of their wines. You're also able to get a glass or a bottle of wine or your choice from their list. It's a smaller winery than Bull Run, but you're able to get great service from the staff at the bar. It is mostly an outdoor winery.

Spent a weekday afternoon here with a friend and had a lovely time. Started with a great wine tasting with a very kind and patient staff member. Ended up splitting a bottle of their Tally Ho white wine while munching on crackers and a delicious dill Havarti cheese we bought there. While there was no inside seating on the hot day we visited, there is a sitting area under shelter and with fans blowing. We were comfortable and stayed for a few hours. Would definitely visit again.

I came here twice, once in the winer for a wine tasting and once this summer for a proper bottle of wine and time with friends. The staff is all very helpful and kind, making the experience that much better and the wine tasting fun. They do not have any air conditioned seating but they do have tented seating and a small inclosed area where the tastings occur. They also have an area for families and for adults only, which is much appreciated. The winery is still a bit quiet (not as big of crowds as a Stone Tower) which I love. Their bathrooms are large and have AC. They had a food truck on premise along with pizza to order and an assortment of meats and cheeses. We enjoyed a lot of the wines, like the cab franc and the chardonnay. Some of the other wines were just alright but thats why the tasting is well worth it. Our cab franc had quite a lot of sentiment in the bottom which was unnerving but the taste was so good we took home another bottle.

How this place has as many stars as it does it is a little astounding. We paid $18 for store bought frozen pizza. I’m not suggesting that they passed it off as homemade, but when you pay that much, that is the expectation. It’s misleading and frankly, deceptive. The wine was mediocre at best. Never again.

Enjoyed live music and pizza. I felt there could’ve been a wider wine and beverage selection. We went on a windier day where the ground was wet from rain and it was pretty puddle-filled and muddy and hard to avoid. I would go back, however! Our group had a lovely time and the bartender CJ was great. His helpful personality made all the difference!

BLUF: Disappointing. Though the owners of Old Farm are the owners of another very successful winery & vineyard boasting some pretty tasty wines when I was a member, the wine at Old Farm was not tasty at all. Neither was their bottled cider. It's a nice winery in the middle of the community, but I expected more from a business that should already know how to make some good wine. Nice place to hang out in the neighborhood but I'd probably skip the products they make. Maybe with time, they'll get back on track.
