I do not recommend this place. New to the area, I decided to try that this salon for some standard natural looking highlights. When I first stall at down in the chair the “stylist†looked at my hair for an incredibly long amount of time... asking me fairly odd and suspicious questions that lead me to believe she had no idea what she was doing. I asked about her credentials. She assured me that she's done “natural†looking highlights on blonde hair before for many customers. So I held my breath and hoped for the best. When she washes out my hair I heard her gasp “oh noâ€... not good. She seemed to have serious trouble even washing my hair, she even LEFT THE FOILS IN MY HAIR. Just forgot they were in there... when I got back to my chair I looked like an orange zebra/skunk with thick chunked strips. I was polite paid and left. This person had no idea what she was doing, and I doubted that she had the capability to fix it. I wish I had gotten my money back, instead I went to a MUCH better salon and paid $350 to have them do a complete color correction. DO NOT GO HERE.

I have never left a negative review and I'm fairly sure they'll delete it anyways. I do not recommend this place. I do not recommend this place. New to the area, I decided to try that this salon for some standard natural looking highlights with group on. When I first stall at down in the chair the "stylist" looked at my hair for an incredibly long amount of time... asking me fairly odd and suspicious questions that lead me to believe she had no idea what she was doing. I asked about her credentials. She assured me that she's done "natural" looking highlights on blonde hair before for many customers. So I held my breath and hoped for the best. When she washes out my hair I heard her gasp "oh no"... not good. She seemed to have serious trouble even washing my hair. After washing it she LEFT THE FOILS IN MY HAIR. Just forgot they were in there or couldn't see them?!? My hair is super thin...lucky for me the over processing didn't break my hair off. When I got back to my chair I looked like an orange zebra/skunk with a few (countable maybe 6) thick chunked strips on either side of my head. I was polite paid and left. This person had no idea what she was doing, and I doubted that she had the capability to fix it. I wish I had gotten my money back, instead I went to a MUCH better salon and paid over $350 to have them do a complete color correction. DO NOT GO HERE.

I bought a Groupon for $72 for a full highlight and cut and when I called to make an appointment I was immediately thrown off. She asked the length of my hair and the thickness of my hair. I have heard that most hairdressers charge more for a Groupon if you have long hair but I was thrown off because they seemed unhappy I was trying to make an appointment! I have thinner shoulder length hair and only wanted a trim and yet I was charged more than $20 for the cut. Then when we were consulting on my color, she was being very critical of my current hair color and saying how difficult it would be to go back to blonde (my hair had been dyed light brown). People do it all the time so I was confused. I was almost in tears because "wait I can't go back to blonde ever again?" Eventually she problem solved by avoiding my 1 in roots. So now I will have to go to a different hair dresser and get the roots done even after spending extra for a full. If you aren't going to honor the Groupon price, don't put your company on Groupon!

Very disappointed. Azar is the owner and the lady who cut my hair. I had purchased a groupon and was charged so much extra for a simple cut. In addition, Azar was not friendly and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to get my layers cut a certain length. She even questioned the percentage of my tip and proceeded to tell me the tip should be more. I was shocked and just paid the price she had asked just so I could leave the place. It was an all-over terrible experience and I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Awful customer service. I purchased a Groupon - apparently you're not supposed to do that because the salon wants 100% of their money. The woman who answered my phone call when I tried to schedule an appointment spent most of the call huffing in frustration and telling me how inconvenient my call was, how inconvenient my availability to come in was, and how Groupon was "taking half her money." When I offered that I would get the Groupon refunded and instead of half, she could have zero, she then "conceded" and offered to schedule me. However, I will not be a patron to a company who so clearly doesn't understand customer service. Save your money, don't purchase the Groupon and don't go here. There are better salons in this area where they're actually happy you want to come to their space.

I bought the Groupon as a way to explore the area and find a new stylist. The Groupon reviews were persuasive however reality was compete opposite. The Groupon mentions long hair will incur additional charges, ok. When I arrived I was quoted $20. My hair is a couple inches below my shoulders. However, since I only wanted a trim, the "length" charge seems exceptionally high and subjective. The wash, cut, and dry took less than an hour. TLC for my hair was lacking and I'm still finding split ends a couple days later. Overall, the staff was friendly and accommodated my schedule. However, I'll avoid using a Groupon for my hair in the future.

Went for a blow dry. The place was dingy and the lady charged an exorbitant price and did a poor job that took 30 minutes and did not even show off my layers. Very disappointed

I've been getting my hair cut here ever since I was little, and I haven't found any bad encounters out of all the years I've been here. Its a very beautiful community I love all the workers here as well!

I bought a groupon here and when I called to schedule an appointment, they said they wouldn't honor the groupon price if I had long hair. What. Poor advertising AND business practices.

I have been going to Azar for nearly 20 years and will have to move if she ever moves away. She has a great sense of style, provides excellent service, and is the only person I've ever found who can manage an unruly mop of frizzy hair and make it look terrific. She is meticulous and takes a while, but the time spent is worth it - I can go for months after a cut without another one because the shaping provided is so great.
