Mary attended me and it was very rude because I wanted to make sure that the doctor was and that my dog really received the treatment she was paying.. The only one who speaks Spanish in that place and was very rude got up from the chair and left me talking.. It gives me the impression that what they say for the pets in Real city do not do it for 4 puppies and they all made the same observation in their file and all weighed 5.5lbs but it was not true because At home weigh and all weigh different.

Called here, was put on hold for nearly 15 minutes so called back. Was then spoken to rudely by the receptionist. Decided it wasn’t worth my time and sought care elsewhere. Get it together!

My 5 month puppy was seen on February 19th to receive his next set of shots. The visit went fine and I received the Samperica trio for the month of February. I also scheduled the March appointment. Since the 19th, my puppy had diarrhea. I started him in the bland diet of rice and chicken, gave him pumpkin for the next few days. No change. I called on Friday to see if I can get him an appointment. The representative proceeds to tell me try the bland diet, which I advised her I already had. She tells me she’ll schedule him for Saturday, February 24th to get checked out and to bring a sample of his poop for testing. Saturday we arrive at the Banfield, it’s the tall female with glasses in the front. I get Rocky checked in, let her know I have his sample which she says it’s one of the prettiest containers brought in. The make attendant comes and takes Rocky to the back along with the sample. A few hours later, I get a call from Banfield telling me Rocky’s been checked that everything is fine but his teeth have a brown spot and to schedule the dental appointment. Confused, I asked why are you telling me about his teeth when he’s supposed to be seen for diarrhea since his last appointment on the 19th?! She says, oh it hasn’t been checked and asks did I bring his fecal sample. I’m like, yes, it was in a black, white and pink toilet tissue box. That was the purpose of the visit, but his teeth. She’s says ok, we will check it but it may be too soon to recommend something. I let her know my concern was to have him checked because I would be going out of town on Monday and he is supposed to be staying at the PetsHotel for the first time. She recommends sending me with diarrhea medicine to see if it will help. I said fine. I was asked if I needed the Samperica and I said no, I already have it. The call ends with her saying she’ll call me back when he’s ready. Well, that call didn’t happen. I called back a hours later and was told Rocky is ready. I get there, The tall girl checks me out, tells me how much I owe for the medicine, hands me the medicine and I leave. I get home and was about to feed Rocky along with giving the medicine when I see, it’s Samperica, not the diarrhea medicine. I call back upset because I have been charged and given the wrong medicine. The conversation is back and forth with them telling me I can’t get a refund nor return the medicine because it left out of the store. Disgusted, I said make it make sense that you prescribe my puppy the wrong medicine, charge me for it, don’t treat him for the diarrhea, then say I have to pay extra to get the right medicine, and won’t accept the unopened medicine that I already had purchased for the month of February!! I get told well you can use it for March. By then, I’m beyond upset because I was under the impression that whomever I spoke to on the phone understood that it was their mistake for incorrectly treating my puppy let alone giving the wrong medication and was told I could bring it back. I drive 40 minutes back just to be told the opposite. The result, I advised I would notify corporate because this was piss poor service that i received and left. On Monday, I came in and asked to speak with the manager. I recognize her as one of the nurses I see usually when I come during the week. She tells me that when they called her regarding the refund and returning the medicine, she was under the impression that it was the visit that occurred on the 24th. I told her what happened and why I was so upset with the service and what was done. She acknowledged that it was their fault and that I should’ve received the diarrhea medicine, not the Samperica like I was saying. I let her know that Rocky has another appointment scheduled for March and that if I get charged for Samperica that day since I have it, I would transfer him to another Banfield. She let me know she didn’t want that to happen and that she’ll ensure Rocky receives the proper care.Let me be clear. This is my third furbaby that I have had Banfield to treat. I have never experienced service like this.Beware.

Does anyone actually work here? I can never get anyone to answer the phone, and the voicemail option leads to a voicemail listing the wrong number and is full; then hangs up.I work at another hospital and we have one of their clients here for emergency visit and need medical records. It's Saturday 3/2/24 at 1:45pm, google lists the hours till 5pm.Embarrassing levels of customer service and making an already difficult visit for one of their own clients even more difficult by being literally unreachable.Absolutely embarrassing.

I was warned not to bring my animals to Banfield.. A few things to note about this location: Very understaffed for the volume they see. The very tall girl with the lovely glasses should NOT BE ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR THE REGISTER OR COMPUTER. Everything that came out of this girls mouth was WRONG. Price wrong (She gave me the wrong price THREE TIMES) and I even confirmed "For TWO CATS AND THEIR VACCINES???" *Pretends to look and scroll on the computer* "Yep!". The information I gave her, which was clear, somehow got switched around?? It was just a heart ach. The call that I received wasn't even to make sure their information was correct. If they wouldn't have called to tell me that they were about to do blood work on the wrong cat, I wouldn't have found out that they had my animals completely switched. Pick up is also between 3 and 5? maybe 6. by 520PM, I did not receive a call back saying my cats were ready for pick up, and when i did go to pick them up, nobody told me the results of the blood work that they did or anything. If your'e looking for "Cheaper"-ish care for your pets, I guess you can take the risk, I surely wouldn't and will not be returning here..Better training, better employees (Maybe add another person), better time and volume management..

The dog’s owner left appointment without understand dose on Lasix Rx. Not understanding the concept of ruling out a disorder and she possibly ended up giving double the dose. As result dog became very seriously ill and client thought dogs worsening condition was normal and I had to insist we return

If I could give zero stars and still post a review i would. My friend came here because her dog had gotten into chocolate and they wouldnt do anything until 3 weeks later. When she got there they kept telling her she needed to put the dog down repeatedly even after she asked them to give her a minute to make a phone call. They weaponized the payment against her amd her poor puppy was failed. They did nothing to actively try to help her. Horrible place and horrible staff. I highly recommend not going here.

Impossible to get anyone on the phone! Understaffed pet hospital. With the excuse of Covid, this location requieres drop-offs only.

I wish they had better service. They normally fail at giving you a summary of your visit or the answers to the questions that you ask the vet about your pet. Basically paying for nothing. I’m very disappointed and looking for somewhere else with a better service to take my pets.

They always take such good care of my little doggo. They go above and beyond to make sure that my little guy is taken care of. I called them 5 minutes before they closed with a question about a tick and they stayed late to help remove it. On a separate occasion, they helped my pup feel better when he had a skin infection.

Unfortunately, this banfield pet hospital isn't what it use to be. I have been going to this location since 2017 when I moved to the DMV. At that time, the customer service was great and the vets were super kind and helpful. I dropped off my pet this Tuesday 3/28 for her appointment and was told that pick up was from 3:00pm to 5:00pm EST. Typically, the vet will call with updates on bloodwork and provide an overall assessment regarding the pet before pick up. Well on this particular day, the vet called me at 5:05pm. When I arrived at the Banfield there was one person at the front and line of individuals waiting for their pet. When I got to the front I requested an update as I did not hear from the vet before pick up time and was concerned. I was told that the hospital was backed up that day and the vet would call me soon. The vet did call and explained that I needed to bring back a sample, however no other instructions were provided. After I spoke with the vet I proceeded to wait 50 minutes to receive my pet. I had to get back in line and ask when I would receive my pet. When I finally got my dog back I was given eye drops. I had to kindly tell the tech that I did not ask for eye drops and was told to bring back a sample or urine. I asked the tech if there was a cup or something she could provide so I can bring back the sample. I was given a small syringe. I got back in line and told the young lady at the front that she never checked me out for the day and I wanted to pay for the service so I did. Today, Thursday 3/30/23 I went to the hospital to drop off the sample. I was asked if the sample was refrigerated and I told the young lady at the front that it was not and I never received those instructions. Frankly, this hospital is constantly short staffed and instructions aren't clear when provided. When I speak to a vet they always seem to rush you off the phone. In the past, my appointments at this location have been cancelled without my authorization. When I asked why, I would be told there were system problems. During my last visit I asked for an estimate for a procedure and was told that I would receive it in 24 hours. It's been 48 hours and nothing. Don't waste your time here.

Too expensive and don’t work well with military members that are short on time. They charge ridiculous service fees just for seeing your pet, but they’re the ones that keep them for long hours and there’s no true measure for how long the examines actually take. Please explain the professional fee that gets charged by the minute and equates too $100.

The worst Banfield ever I have 3 pets and I am constantly inconvenienced when it comes to making appointments I had a appointment on Saturday February 25th at 2:30 pmand was called at 8;40 pm and was told that the Vet that was there was really sick and throwing up and that if I needed to be seen tobring my pets in by 9:00am why would I bring my dog into a sick hospital? When I tried to reschedule I was told the next appointment would be April keeping in mind i madeThis appointment a month ago, Another issue they have is answeringThe telephones; I usually have to callPetSmart to get them to respond and sometimes that doesn't help I was told that between 7-9am they are taking client in and are not able to answer calls this is a business so I don't understand that theory this locations has few Vets and if your dog has a issue they don't follow-up also this locations doesn't have a Practice Manger so if you have a issue they don't have a experienced person to help you I have been with Banfield for more than 10 years and I have 3 pets it's no longer a convenience to be a banfield client if I can't get an appointment or speak to someone durning normal business hour or get the good quality vet care.L

HORRIBLE!!! We, our Yorkie Terrier, have been Banfield Customers for over 16 years, and in review of the last two years, I think this business should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. They enjoy charging your credit card monthly but have no time to provide the total wellness services needed. I will say they will contact you for the shots and send fake I care, Happy Birthday, messages to your pet, but when your pet gets sick, they never have time to see the pet. They say, take him to the emergency. Why am I paying you? They are so heavily booked, they never answer the phone, you call repeatedly when you get someone, their response is I'm sorry, we don't have time today, tomorrow, day after, but 2 weeks later, maybe. I was told they have 3000 customers with only 2 doctors, as per Catherine in Alexandria. My pet was vomiting blood, but instead of seeing him and squeezing him in as a loyal customer of Banfield, they said, I'm sorry, we're fully booked today, and the one Dr. M. is in surgery??? We ended up paying $800 to seek another Veterinary service. Another time, I was heading out of town, and my pet did not have a necessary shot for boarding, although he was in Banfield the week before?! When I called Banfield 20 times, I was told they were booked and couldn't give him the shot. I ended up spending over $200.00 to pay another veterinarian to give him the shot that Banfield was paid to do, but again, they charge your card, and provide no bandwidth to see your pet. Why am I paying you????? This plan will be canceled. You don't care about the pets, but you should care about Better Business Burea and poor customers reviews!

in love with Banfield, the front desk workers and veterinarians are so kind and respectful no matter how busy they are. they always take great care of the kitties and make sure to answer all the questions you have. i would definitely recommend bringing your fur babies here
