I always choose Beyer Subaru where i got my 2020 Forester Touring. I prefer this location for car maintenance etc. Today , i went for a change oil, After two hours the gentlemen who's assisting me came and say everything was good except for old wipers , i keep waiting and waiting , it was almost 3 hours but my car hasn't done yet. I asked and he said it's coming out soon. I admit i'm being impatient because it never happens before, they should tell me what was the reason, the hold out, or why it took longer but no words , i've seen people come and go, i've seen people who came later than myself but they had left already, i've been waiting for more minutes and finally it's done! I told him why it takes forever to finish and it was never happened before, here's the thing that made me upset, instead of him telling me sorry for the delay, He said i wasn't the only one who has a car for service??? I choose this location for a good service and i make the appointment to avoid delay, If they are fully booked why they took my appointment? Correct me if i am wrong here but i got so pissed off with this guy! Manager of Beyer Subaru should pay attention to their employee 's behavior as well. My car service is not free and it's not even cheap i deserved a fair treatment. Emily

Bought a Subaru in March. The sales reps are amazing! Very knowledgeable and friendly. The day we bought the car was awesome and it was seamless and one of the best car buying experiences I've had. From there it all went downhill. They didn't pay off my trade in until 30 days later. I almost had to make another payment on a car I no longer owned and they had already sold to someone else because they failed to pay it off. It took multiple phone calls to them and for them to overnight the payment for them to make it right. The worst part was tag and title. We bought the car in mid March and now it's mid July and I finally got my license plate situated. They were supposed to simply transfer the tag. Six weeks went by and no new registration. My temp tag had long expired. I have to call them. They send another temp tag. That expires. Still no registration. I have to call multiple times, leave multiple messages. Then I get a call that my new tags are in. I call and explain that we were transferring tags. They are disabled veteran tags and they gave me traditional tags. They don't know what to do. It's another 3 weeks of phone tag before someone ultimately admits that they can't fix it. No apologies. Just an oh well. So we had to spend an entire day at the DMV with my disabled husband to get the plates corrected. They were able to fix it immediately and had no clue why the dealership messed up as bad as they did. The worst part for me was that I had to constantly call them and stay on top of it and they took zero responsibility for the error. I'd still be driving around on expired temp tags. It's a shame because the sales team is amazing but the management is for crap

I can not believe the high cost of service Beyers Service department. I went in for an oil change and safety check and ended up paying $647. They wouldn't pass my safety because light bulbs, the little ones that goes around the actual lights. The headlights were functioning fine. They charged me $43.98 to put in a $3.40 bulb twice, quoting the lightbulb cost over the phone as being $43.98, not mentioning the actual bulb cost. They charged me $157 labor for putting a battery in. They wanted me to do a Premium Service that would have double charged the battery check, tire rotation and oil change. The service department is unclear about the actual costs of items.

Bought a new 2025 Subaru Outback Limited XT from Peter (a Sales Manager) and Dash yesterday. Earlier in the day, I had tried to buy the same car - but different color - from Sheehy Subaru, but had a very unpleasant, "bait-and-switch" situation, so I left. Went directly to Beyer and bought the car. I had a wonderful, transparent, honest, straightforward and quick buying experience, and received a better price and better trade in value than Sheehy originally offered (even before they reduced the trade in value). Peter and Dash were efficient, clear, professional and transparent, with no games or hassles / haggling. Great deal; great experience; was in and out in just over 60 minutes. Was the third car we bought from Beyer - only went to Sheehy for the color my wife wanted. Never again.

Great experience today from start to finish! Entering the service lane I'm met with a super friendly advisor that was super transparent and informative with wait times and what exactly was getting done to my vehicle. Did a little walking around . The receptionist, parts clerk and even the sale team just super friendly. Did not feel like a dealership at all from what I'm used to. The entire team was focused on making sure me and my son were comfortable during our wait. If you have a Subaru and you're tired of going to a dealership and having a dreaded time definitely this place a visit. They have surely gained my business and I will be returning again !!!

Really disappointed in the maintenance/service that i've been getting here at Beyer Subaru nowadays, as they used to be so much better. I feel like the atmosphere is very drab, people aren't quick to move, so I end up staying here for hours on end for services that should be more efficient. I had a service done here a few months ago and ended up staying all day. No one told me it would take that long, no one recommended that I maybe take a loaner, and at the end of it all, they had me take a loaner because they never got to my car. As a courtesy, they gave me a "free detailing". When I came back, they never got to the detailing and by the last hour of when they were open, they ended up doing a super quick job (albeit a fairly bad job) in detailing the car. It wasn't even worth the courtesy service for their inefficient services. I'm so disappointed in how long they've been taking to do routine maintenance. Every time I would check in and ask, the service advisor would not necessarily own up and take accountability. Even state safety inspections are estimated to take 2 (or more) hours, despite how early you may schedule your appointment. Since the intense downturn, I've been taking my car to another Subaru dealership, which has been a much more pleasant experience. Please do better, Beyer Subaru. You were once so great.

By far the worst customer service this morning. We usually come in and get sandy. Sandy is great, professional, keeps us informed, and is a true problem solver. This time we had the misfortune of dealing with Shay - yes that's right DEALING WITH (because she treated us like an inconvenience). From the moment we pulled into the garage we noticed that she begrudgingly was willing to help us and didn't even bother to say hello. Immediately started barking our existing reservation out loud with no mannerisms. ZERO SOFT SKILLS. Worse, we get to the desk and the entire time treats our maintenance appointment like an inconvenience. It's like we had asked her to do the maintenance herself! We weren't even looking for a special service to get done to our car. Just appalling. Won't be returning to Shay unless they can guarantee me that Sandy or someone else is willing to take our car.

Dave Donchantz helped me so much! He helped me figure out all the parts I required, and answered all of my questions, and made great recommendations. He even helped me install my new roof cargo box!

I can not get a title from these folks, BUYER BEWARE!!! The try to give you the leave a message run around every time I call them. Then the General Manager and title clerk is rude and wont talk about the whole situation.

I was interested in some information on a BRZ to model. I sent a request for information and got a reply from Franco Deoliveria who answered all of my questions. I asked that they not send me unsolicited emails and that I would reach out to them if I had questions. Franco replied that was fine and that he would try to get answers to any questions I had. Over two or three days, I sent a him a couple of emails. His answers were always prompt and very helpful. Other than the responses to my emails, there were no unsolicited emails from him or the dealership. I was totally amazed, car salespeople don't list to what you ask or request and yet, that was exactly what he was doing. If I do decide to buy a BRZ it will definitely be from Franco at Don Beyer Subaru. The level of service and attention to buyers requests was totally amazing. The best experience I've ever had dealing with a car salesman.

I bought a 2023 Subaru Outback here in late 2022. Purchase experience was very good. I was told that one service would be free each year. On year two I was told that I never was told such a thing. Strike 1. My car with 6700 mile on it started having electrical issues, shutting down without warning, warning lights on, losing connection with Eyesight system. I made an appointment, but called, since I will be leaving town in 4 days for an extended period. I was told an appointment did not mean they would actually diagnose my car, they still had cars backed up for a week. It is still on warranty, which I don't want to run out. It was suggested I try another dealership, which I did and they can diagnose it as a drive in within 2 hours. Strike 2. I guess I found a new dealership for the new Subaru I was planning to purchase (but might not if this issue is any indication).

Went in to get a 2025 Premium Outback. I worked with Chris and he did a great job of making my vehicle purchase as easy as possible. They beat the competitor's price by a significant amount. Chris also walked me through the ins and outs of the Outback and that made my experience with this dealership even better. Overall, I would recommend this dealership to people that I know and I would definitely recommend Chris as their salesman. A job well done! Happy customer here.

Relevant to this review is 1. I bought a used Mazda, not a Subaru at this dealership and 2. I live in DC not VA. I was looking for a used car for my daughter. Saw a Mazda online with low mileage and an ok price. Went to look at it and said I would bring my daughter back for a test drive the next day. When I arrived on time with my daughter, the salesman was busy with another customer, so we waited for 20 min, listening to him haggling with another customer. Then we proceeded to be rushed through the process at lightning speed——there was some slight damage reported on the car’s records, but he indicated it was on the front bumper but had been repaired. Looked ok. He kept saying “this is basically a new car!”. He did not have time to explain any of the features. She went for a test drive. As we were signing the papers, it turned out there was no GPS Sim card, which was important to us. The salesman promised he would mail me one. Never came despite repeated requests (“they had to order it”—?)When we got home in different light, I was very surprised to see two small window cracks (like gravel cracks) on the front driver’s side. I immediately wrote the salesman, who said he asked his manager and there was nothing he could do. Of course, I should have noticed them, but they were not included in the damage report. It then took two and a half months for the tags and title department to remember to ask for my tags in DC. Since then, we have also noticed that a small indicator light is not functioning. I feel like I was railroaded and got the typical “single woman” treatment. Would NOT return to this dealership ever. Maybe if you are buying a subaru the experience is better.

Failed me for suspension on a state inspection and said I needed a service over $1k. I went right down the street and passed. Don’t waste your time and money.
UPDATE: The service manager never called me. The bushing was worn, but as the other shop told me, it wasn't really "failable".

I worked with Lance to purchase my 2025 Forest and Jim in finance. Lance was the best salesman to work with! He didn't push or talk non-stop! He was friendly, considerate and extremely helpful. I could have walked away from purchasing the vehicle and felt we were parting as friends. But, I chose to purchase from Lance because he was fair, knowledgeable and didn't push me to buy what I didn't want! Jim in finance was also extremely helpful and fair in setting up my financing and informed me of financial nuances I didn't know! I was grateful for his honesty and explanations. Two top notch Subaru reps! Thank you!
