Chose this company based on recommendation from Washington Gas. Our CO detector was going off and wanted to reassure wife that it was likely a faulty detector that needed replaced. Requested they (Cyprus) come check for CO (carbon monoxide) or confirm a faulty detector. After having to reschedule, due to their tardiness, the tech arrived before I got home, without a CO detector. However, he concluded, and informed my wife, that we needed a new furnace...again, without detecting any CO! After consulting with "his manager" over the phone, he provided an explanation (cracked heat exchanger).Long story short, get a call from office stating "I have a past due balance" while the tech is still in my house. I then get a call five minutes later asking to schedule an appointment for an estimate and financing options to replace my furnace!I informed them that my request was to check CO level. How can you make such a recommendation without a detector? They said they would send someone the next day with a detector. Too late, credibility gone. They may be a good, reputable company...I just won't be calling them.FYI: Your explanation does not match the evidence...! If air was seeping into the flame it would show yellow and/or orange! (see pic)Eventually confirmed, not by Cyprus, no CO detected, furnace fine and reason for intermittent chirp was due to a faulty CO detector...case closedAt least I thought case was closed...here is their response as they promise to send me to collections for a service they did not provide..."Gibran, We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. It's important for us to address your concerns and provide clarity on the situation. We regret that the initial visit did not meet your expectations, and we understand the frustration with the miscommunication regarding the purpose of the visit. Our goal is always to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our customers. We apologize for any confusion regarding the billing inquiry and the subsequent recommendation for a new furnace. We take your feedback seriously and will review our processes to prevent similar occurrences in the future.Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we wish you the best in resolving your HVAC needs.Cyprus Air Customer Support."

Found issues which we can't do nothing about now. But watch carefully. They might move stuff around you aren't even aware of.

I recently got my HVAC installed. Had a very easy and pleasant service from Will & DJ. Perfect installation, nice people, knowledgeable. Explained all the details and answered my questions without any issues. I would highly recommend them. A+

The friendly service doesn’t make up for the scam that I’m seeing. A technician came over to my house and investigated and arrived at the conclusion that there was low voltage coming into the central board of my furnace and it needed to be replaced (around $750). I had my friend come over and he cleaned off the sensor and it started working again. This should have been obvious to an experienced technician, which i believe it was, and he still recommended to unecissarily replace the board. I reached out to their service advisor about why this was and I received no reply, so I assume I’m right in my assumption.

Product is great - but process and scheduling was very challenging. My husband had to take over 7 days off work throughout the process. They removed our oven from the wall to run the gas line and when they were done they left it on the floor of our kitchen. Currently hiring a handyman to help us get our appliance back in our wall…

Cyprus air installed gas logs in my existing fireplace, and also installed the gas line to the fireplace. The gas fireplace is very nice (for that I am ranking them two stars), but Cyprus' service post fireplace installation is not (only two stars). My advice is: do not go for the option they offer to get a discount on the purchase price of a fireplace if you sign up for one year of their service. It is not one year of service. It is a single service in a year. You pay $47/month for one year, and for that they come out ONCE, if you remember to call them. They say they will, but do not ever contact you to schedule that yearly service. AND THEY CONTINUE CHARGING YOU AFTER A YEAR.That $564 service amounts to 30 minutes of a technician's time to vacuum the soot from the logs and make sure the batteries are okay in your automatic start device. THAT'S IT! That $564 buys you nothing more. Not even a discounted service visit to fix something that they installed.

Do not use!!!! They will scam you!!!They sent me a bill for $25 for failing to be home at 9:00 am on November 24th, when we had scheduled for 1:00pm to 5:00pm.On November 13th, I called Cyprus Air to have my heating system fixed or replaced. The earliest appointment available was November 24th(over a week out!), and I informed the representative that I would only be available in the afternoon. We agreed that the technician would stop by my home between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm on November 24th. I even received a confirmation email on November 13th with the same information! On November 22nd, the company doubled dialed me just to confirm my address. I asked if there was a more precise appointment time, but I was told that there was not yet and that I would be informed when there was. At 6:02pm on November 23rd(Thanksgiving!!) I received a text message stating that the technician would be arriving between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, not the agreed upon 1:00pm-5:00pm. I wasn’t even going to be back in town until 12:00pm!! When I called the company in the morning after being notified that a technician was at my home, I was told that even though I had been provided with an appointment block, they could not guarantee it. What is the point of making an appointment then! And if this is really how the do business then why didn’t they tell me that they could show up at anytime of the day! I never agreed to the time change, and I am extremely disappointed with the customer service. I should have seen the red flags when I couldn’t find an email address for them. I was hoping to have my HVAC system replaced and have found this whole endeavor to be unprofessional. I have never been treated so poorly by a company I was planning on making a significant purchase from

Don't do business with this company. A total joke. Scheduled a service and painting of a gas fireplace. 1st visit tech doesn't have materials or paint. 2nd visit is canceled the day before as tech quit. 3rd visit new tech shows up and says no painting. I call the office and they say we don't paint. So why string me along for three visits knowing you won't do the work?Stay away from these guys as they are totally unreliable and dishonest.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I had an appointment with the technician named Sahdula Anwar on December 20, 2023 scheduled between 1pm and 5pm, for a first-time full service for my gas fireplace. Sahdula arrived shortly after 5pm and was the rudest service professional I've ever met.Although he put on shoe covers to enter the home, he explained quickly upfront what the costs would be and that the fees were to be paid before service was started. Cool. When he mentioned that the owner of the house had to be present and to make the payment, not the tenant, with credit card, I contacted the owner by phone so he could make the payment. When Sahdula spoke on the phone with the owner on speaker, he was extremely rude with the owner. The owner had asked about a $25 gas fuel fee that the technician was charging that had not been previously mentioned at the time we made the appointment, and it seemed like the technician was offended by the owner simply asking him to repeat what each of the charges would be, so that he could make the payment for the service and understand what all the charges would be upfront. The technician repeated numerous times that we should cancel the appointment so he can leave.I couldn't believe the way the technician was speaking to the owner and raising his voice like he was speaking to a child as if we didn't want to pay when we were about to pay. But the technician said just cancel and reschedule and he just walked quickly out the door like he didn't want our business anyway. I would never do business with anyone who spoke to customers that way and walked off midway in a conversation.Consequently, I told him goodbye while he walked out the front door. We are scheduling service with a different company instead to service our gas fireplace. I called Cyprus Air myself to give feedback after the post-service survey said to contact them about any negative experiences, and I spoke to John who was very professional. John offered to reschedule me with a different technician, but unfortunately the experience with Sahdula Anwar was so egregious that I declined. Never get service from a rude person. However, it would be clearer to customers if Cyprus got the credit card information at the time of scheduling the appointment, to ensure that payment and a list of all involved fees prior to the day of service are already taken care of beforehand, so that unnecessary confusion on the day of service, about costs and who's required to pay, is avoided.

Service was fine. $230 service. Checked my account and was billed for $255 and $235. Obviously overcharged $260, no big deal, so I called to have this fixed. This was 10 days ago! I called 10 minutes after the company left and was told I would get a refund. 10 days, 6 calls and no refund. I was told accounting would contact me at “some point”. I don’t write bad reviews, but this is ridiculous. Everytime I called I said I was told the same exact thing, someone will call me. No one has called me. My last straw was the sarcastic tone of each person on the phone. Oh, and no reciept has been provided, asked 6 times.

Run AWAY!!!!! Cyprus installed a new HVAC system and Humidifier in September 2022. I was coerced into signing a 1 year service plan with the installation. The installer did not go over the operation of the units and how to use them, and when asked how to operate the humidifier he said just turn the dial. After 2 weeks of using the furnace, we noticed static electricity still and no water was draining from the unit, so Cyprus sent the SAME person who installed it out to look at it and he took one look and said it was working - did not open the small panel up or check anything. During my Spring cleaning the technician said the same thing without looking at anything. When I scheduled my fall cleaning, they set it 2 months out (after the warranty would expire). The technician who came was for fireplace cleaning, I DON'T HAVE A FIREPLACE, but he is an HVAC technician and did the service for me with what tools he had in the truck and said that the unit was not turning on or off and the water line valve was not the proper one and leaking as soon as he touched it. They tried to charge me $1250 to fix the Humidifier that they installed incorrectly, then after giving them strong pushback they reduced to $450 and I asked to speak to Mr. Ray (some supervisor) and he never got back with me but said they would repair under the warranty. So, thinking I was going to get a repair, they set up the repair with a FIREPLACE repair, again, I don't have a fireplace! So they called and cancelled the day of at 11AM - which you have to take off work from 12-5 window. They set up for the following week and it was still for a fireplace repair even after I called TWICE and 1 hour before they were supposed to come they called and said the technician Quit. So they rescheduled a third time for the next day. The technician showed up before he was supposed to, which I can live with, but he said that the water line was installed improperly and the humidifier was also installed improperly and he did not have the part to fix it. Now I have to wait for them to reschedule a FOURTH time and they are trying to charge me for the parts . . . . to be continued. They provide the worst customer service on the phone as well and cannot seem to keep their records straight. I cancelled the service plan after the first year, yet they keep charging my credit card AND raised the price $10 per month. When asked if I could get the refund of the 2 months they have been charging me the gal on the phone said no and I could not talk to anyone in accounting because they don't have phones. The technicians seem to be nice, but apparently they get overwhelmed.

My fireplace was disabled automatically when I accidently clicked the power button on remote twice. I needed a someone to just reset the button under the fireplace because I couldn't reach it myself. I called the service center; they said the service fee will be $464 for all the unnecessary work (cleaning, tuning, sweeping dust, etc - mine is a fake wall fireplace. No need any of these services) that they will perform on my fireplace. I decided to do it myself watching a YouTube. It's shame that they tried to rip off their customers. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Cyprus Air may do a good job of building name ID in the community by sponsoring a bunch of teams with Fort Hunt Little League, but they have forgotten about their community when it comes to service, reliability, and professionalism. Horrible experience trying to hire them and get on their schedule. They could not have been more difficult or more unpleasant.

Every professional who comes to work on our fireplace has been knowledgeable, helpful and very neat. Each year I wonder if I just got lucky and had a good repair person, but we have never had anyone that is even average. They have all excelled and Marcus was excellent. Thank you,

On Friday 10/6/2023 Cyprus air sent one of their technician. After my 86 year old mother call to have her boiler service for the yearly maintenance. The technician that came was limited in his mobility due to the fact he was wearing one of those orthopedic boot on his foot. So he couldn’t get down to look underneath of the unit . What he did do he took pictures of the unit , took the door off and looked inside and placed it back . She was charged $139 for this service call. Two days later when she turned the unit on it something went wrong the water was pouring from the unit and she called to have a technician to come to check it out Again. After it had supposedly serviced two days before. The second technician came on 10/9/23 and he checked everything and got on his knees and stopped the water from running, checked all the radiators , also the thermostat. Which was supposedly done from the first visit. Which I can’t say anything bad about the second visit. My issue is why did the company call my mother for another $99 the next day . I called to speak with the service manger about this first visit and was told by the woman who answered the phone that the manager was all busy . She put me on hold and never came back . I would like for the $139 to be refunded for the first visit for lack of service. Yearly maintenance is not taking pictures Only . The photo is water pouring from the boiler that my mom 86 years had to keep dumping from 10am to 3pm until the technician came to fix it . This is based on the first called for service and the unprofessional call taker who lied about she can’t get a managerUpdate 10/23/23I had a 3rd visit from Cyprus remember the first service call for maintenance was 10/6 $139 on 10/9 a call back due to the fact water started pouring out of the boiler after the first maintenance check . A second technician came out drain the boiler, they called on Tuesday asking for $99 for that visit. Got another service visit on 10/23 which the unit is still dripping water . Guess what ? A quote was given for over $2,000 to repair a pressure relief valve. This company is trying rip off a senior on limited income. What’s sad about this my mother is still paying on this boiler that cost her $11,960 and it’s 3years and the Manager Ray sarcastically told me the boiler wasn’t new . I gladly gave Ray a tongue lashing too. this isn’t his mother he’s ripping off it’s my mother. I’m sure if it was, he’ll be furious too. Please don’t use this company
