Failed to return calls, failed to send promised materials, did not send a notice of a meeting because "his assistant didn't remember to email it" then didn't show up for the rescheduled meeting because he "forgot his cell phone."

For many years I had used tax software to file my federal return. Last year I had a tricky situation arise and was referred to David. He charged a few hundred dollars to prepare a 53-page return that saved me over $4,000 versus the 30-page return that my software came up with.Oh - and the 1-star reviewer down below DESERVED to be told to go elsewhere!

Inquired with Dave to see how much he would charge me to do my taxes. I have a full time job, little freelance income and some investments. He wanted to charge me between $500-$800 and mentioned that he has to charge that much to cover his cost and that I should go elsewhere. Very rude and unprofessional!

David has worked with me and my firm for the last 8 years. These were complicated returns and the accounting solved and explained. He was willing to be helpful and responsive overall. A great guy and a great accountant.

I had a 30 min consult via phone with David Mortimer and one could sense he was a very knowledgeable and very professional CPA. Very easy to talk to and more important, very easy to understand. I am not a #'s person, so was nice to speak with a professional such as David who takes the time to explain things in a manner that one understands. Highly recommend his services.
