Great place to store stuff if you need it. Very convenient. However, every now and again the loading gate sticks on the side of the building.

Be careful! I know most of the reviews look really good (almost 5 stars), but I wouldn't trust them. This company raises the prices on its customers about every six months and without notice. I started at about $160 per month and in less than 2 years the price is almost $400 per month. This must be their business strategy because they don't care about the complaints from customers. So, it might work for you short term, but don't stay long term.

This place is super unprofessional and lacks in customer service. I had all of my belongings (2 bedroom home worth of furniture, clothes, studio equipment, etc) in the storage unit for a little over a year while I was overseas and came back to find mold all over my things! Im talking about things I could never get back. Had to dispose of most of my property which ended up being a huge loss.. spent almost $4,000 to store my property, just to have to throw it all away because of MOLD! They advertise as a climate controlled facility, but I don’t see how that could be the case. I’m prior military, so I’m no stranger to having my things in storage units for an extended period of time and NEVER has this happened to me.After going through all of my boxes and things, I suffered a respiratory infection (due to mold) a day later and I’m 7 months pregnant!Trying to get in touch with management is hell. They train their staff to say they don’t have the direct number for management and when I called customer service , they assured me that the district manager Fred Brewster would get back to m within 24hrs. Guess what, he never called or emailed. After numerous calls and emails sent, I finally received a call from one of the store managers and she not helpful. Told me to go through the insurance (which yea I already know that), but I wanted to see if they would be able to work something out with me seeing as though the insurance only covers up to $400 dollars for mold. That doesn’t even put a dent in the loss of property I had. But they will not work with you. They do not care. They will tell you that the insurance covers up to $4,000 and sell it to you like that! It does not work like that.Super shady business they’re running. Literal waste of money and they will not help you.

The lady in the front desk (manager ) is really rude and can careless about your situation. she never pick up the phone, wouldn’t recommend this facility

Horrible customer service. I had emptied out my storage unit 3 weeks ahead before my monthly bill came and I had called 3 times even left a voicemail message and they are still charging me for the unit. They don't answer and claim they are on the other line with someone else on purpose they do that to take your money. I would leave a 0 if I could.

Been a customer for over a year and I’ve recently rented a second unit here. The prices are great, it’s always clean and most importantly, safe! Adeeb was very informative and efficient with my set up of the second unit. He’s very kind and welcoming and made my visit very pleasant. Thank you!

I had a wonderful experience when this business was previously EXTRA SPACE STORAGE (Shawnee Rd location) when it was owned and run by John! There is no comparison to the wonderful customer service and personal touch offered by John who was also very kind. In addition, the facility itself was always clean and well maintained. Self Storage Plus at Shawnee Rd doesn't come close or even try to pretend to care about their customers or the space. It is no longer clean. They charge more for so much less!

Upon arrival, I was greeted and helped by Adeb- he is amazing! Great customer service and friendly, he showed me my unit and answered any questions I had. So glad that they have someone as amazing as him to help their customers!

Secure facility tucked away in a nice area. The staff was so kind and helpful. He was extremely thorough in walking me through the facility and making I had a smooth transition getting all of my belongings into storage. 10/10 recommend!

The employee/warehouse manager at this location is fantastic. He is doing the best he can. He is the only reason I'm refraining from making the review 1 star. Unfortunately the company itself is lax with communications and has an utterly non-functional website. They never respond to customer questions. I have to log in on the website to pay for my storage unit. I do not remember my username. There is no option anywhere to recover your username. I tried the "Forgot password" option. It required a username to continue. The warehouse manager of this specific warehouse is not involved with the website and doesn't have any recourse, since he's not the webmaster or IT person. He tried to help but couldn't. I tried to call the number listed on the website. It went straight to voicemail twice. I left a voice mail in late May with my number. No one ever called back. I tried again yesterday. Went straight to voice mail and I'm hoping to hear back, but honestly this has been so disappointing. I'm trying to log in SO I CAN PAY THEM. Do they just not want money?!

I had no issues with my experience with the place. Move-in and move-out was easy thanks to Adeeb and Antoine. The facility is well maintained.

Impossible to get an employee to help you. I spoke to someone. Told them I would be in today around 10, no one was there, was on the phone with the 1-800 number for 45 minutes and they couldn’t get through to anyone. Then they called me back after I left and said someone was there, I went back 20 minutes later, no one was there. I got a message from the general manager that he would be in at 3, and to show up at 3:30, no one at the store is picking up and I can’t get in contact with him at the number he called me at and told me to call back at. How you gonna run a business like this? I already have a storage unit there, I want to move that to a bigger one.
