Omg worse customer service ever. My husband, son and myself have been going to Doctor Mircea for over 10 years. Even when they moved and we moved 2 hours away to culpeper Virginia, we still go to Doctor Mircea. But the customer service has been getting worse and worse. Called to schedule appointment for husband and myself and the lady on the phone was clueless and rude. She may not like her job, she made me feel like I was bothering her, all I needed was an appointment didn't even get that. I may need to start looking elsewhere.

My visit to Family Medicine Associates of Alexandria was a total letdown! The customer service was a joke, and the staff seemed clueless. The place smelled like a kitchen, and even though I was just 15 minutes late, they shoved me into an appointment 7 weeks away. Thank goodness I'm not on my deathbed! No instructions on getting my lab work either. Seriously, is this what we're paying for in the US healthcare system? Absolutely infuriating service!

I like the medical staff at LMG but the Patient portal, designed to make scheduling and refilling prescriptions easier, doesn’t work. Also, I tried to cancel an appointment less than 24 hours before due to illness, which they say to do and was charged for missing my appointment. This is poor customer service

I called a week ago to have an appointment right ?! So I called 2 days if I can come by for a blood work and they said ok . So I got excited and drove 1 hour to get the blood work . I got there and this nastyyyyyyy woman ( the nurse) the people from front desk I mean nasty with real bad attitude it’s like 7:10am in the morning. She (nurse) turned me down saying that it’s not necessary wish I know it is because I was there before . I asked if she could talk to my husband so he can understand why they’re saying no I couldn’t this girl just told me no she doesn’t want to talk him because she don’t have time with the nastiness, ruthless, no emotion, no sympathy like no nothing. It got me sooooo emotional . And I’m wondering why is she work there or they have this type of nurses working in there if they don’t work with the clients. It’s really really upsetting.

I think I've been going to this office for 6 years now, even before they moved to this location. Despite moving out of the area, I still make the drive to this location. I generally see Dr. Mircea although I have also seen PAs here, including one that has moved out-of-state and most recently Michelle Tran. I always felt comfortable and listened to with my concerns. They are really easy to talk to. Their lab tech has always been quick and precise when I do my blood work, which if you're familiar with, is something to be much appreciated. The negative comments seem to direct more towards the front office, but I think they have gotten much better throughout the years. I go to other doctor's offices for specialized care, and FMAA always impressed me the most by how much they make their office welcoming to Spanish speakers, which is evident from the many patients I hear and see in the waiting area. Also, this office is well-located because it's near the hospital and other specialty medical care. When I needed an x-ray for example, I could just walk across the parking lot to the next building and get it done same day. As long as I'm in VA, and they take my insurance, I will keep coming to this office for primary care.

I have called 3 times left two messages sent a message via their portal snd I still have not got a response. I need my prescription refilled and have not been able to get this accomplished.Maybe if I leave a review they will co tact me. The doctors are great. But getting a call back is next to impossible.On Nov 6 the pharmacy sent an authorization for my trulicity and Dec 1. The sent an other authorization for bassaglar. The have yet to contact the pharmacy for my refills.This is unacceptable

Totally disappointed experience, was a regular patient for years, I trusted them with my family’s health, was expecting them to be as loyal as I was, I was late twice, and was denied service, was reminded that their policy is 15 minutes max, after driving 45 minutes to drive my sweetheart with a chronic abdominal pain for which FMAA had no explanation, I am so glad we were sent away, took my girl to a different doctor, he did some intensive exams, intravaginal camera that found a cyst from a poor c-section that came apart and now she’d have to have a major surgery to have her womb and ovaries removed as a result, why didn’t FMAA do something similar for my girl? Total disappointment, so I walked away happy, told the woman at the reception desk to take my family off of their list of patients, I wouldn’t take my dog to them, you want to get hooked on metformin and high blood pressure medication? this is the right place for you, not me nor my family, good luck!!!

As I'm reading other reviews, I'm not surprised I'm experiencing the awful response times from my visits. "You should hear back from us in 20min-1hour". Three days later and I haven't heard anything. The phone that handles the voicemails is probably tucked in a closet somewhere. The cherry on top, I call to follow up on the results of a test I took from two weeks ago and I get a response among the lines of "We don't have a record of you taking that test". Incredible.

The nurses are alright but the service is horrible. Called for a referral. Got a 'we haven't seen you in a while you should make an appointment'. Booked the first available one for a physical (mid-day at that). Only found during the the appointment that this is not a "physical" it's a "problem visit ". Could not tell me what the "problem" was. Scheduled a physical , physical again because of how lame they are. Recommendations welcome.

Although the Doctor is capable with infants, the fact that the front office cannot answer the phone or schedule things correctly is absurd and has cost my family on several occasions where we needed urgent information while at a hospital. We will be leaving this practice, it is barely functioning.

While the physicians here are good, the customer service experience at this location needs a lot of improvement. The front desk staff rarely answer the phones or return calls. If someone does decide to come to the phone, they are very incompetent.Blood work is also routinely misplaced and it's like pulling teeth getting simple, urgent information. I had to go in person to get blood work results for a blood disease which turned out to be positive after weeks of communication delay and no updates. Do not go to this location!

This review is specifically for their automated telephone system for appointments, reaching out with more immediate concerns, etc. I’m a regular patient with them and despite this it’s nearly impossible to get a hold of them other than by physically going into the office. Their automated phone system puts you on an indefinite hold, it doesn’t tell you your position in the queue, how much longer the wait time is expected to be or anything. They have the option to leave a message so someone can call back, but no one ever calls back. Just for the sheer inconvenience of this I’m thinking of switching to another care provider even though I rather like my primary physician with them. They really need to improve their phone system to come into the 21st century!

The doctors are fantastic. I've been a patient of Dr. Mircea's for over 20 years. Unfortunately the office staff is horrible and gets worse every year. When you call, you're on hold at least 20 minutes, then they are rude and unhelpful. They question why you need to come in and why you need to see your primary care physician. It's sometimes impossible to get a live person on the phone and they do not return voicemails. You'll get reminders for things that you've already done, repeatedly. They are just so unorganized. They cancel appointments all the time, including when you've already arrived for your appointment. Time to find a new doctor.

This is an extremely unprofessional doctors office. First, just trying to call and make an appointment is a chore; constantly on hold and if you should call after 3pm, good luck because no one works within an hour of closing time. Secondly, if you have a normal job that has normal work hours, you won’t get a convenient appointment. I had a 3:30 appointment and made it to the appointment with minutes to spare after I get out of work at 3pm. I will say the front office was great on getting me back on time. But once back there, the nurse checking vitals is just going through the motions. I know teenagers that can accurately use a scale and ruler better than the nurse who couldn’t be bothered for exact measurements. So since I had no time to complete paperwork, after the 15 min spent with the take in nurse, the doctor comes in complaining that she needs to leave by a certain time and that she doesn’t have time to see me accurately. DO NOT waste your time and find a reputable doctors office that cares about their patients and doing things correctly.
