Greenstreet Gardens is a gem in the midst of Alexandria! I stopped there, looking for a larger pot for one of my indoor plants and met Kate Ellen who is not only warm and friendly, but a living encyclopedia on plants! She not only helped me, but educated me.I'm looking forward to returning to purchase plants for my patio and brightening up the outdoor space. This is a business that cares not only about plants, but nurturing a relationship with people.

Large garden store with many outdoor and indoor plants, plus knowledgeable staff eager to help you find what you're looking for. I believe they just got a soil bar for customers to repot their plants.

I’ve always been a fan of this place. The layout is really nice and the variety is on point. Their fall selection is always my favorite — gourds, mums and more!

What a superb garden store! They have so many plants, soils, compost, tools, pots, planters, water plants, decorations, organic fertilizers, etc etc etc etc! Huge selection! So many beautiful succulents and they clearly divide the perennials from the annuals which was very helpful. Finally, I must comment on the worker there. I've heard that Rue(?) is normally so exhausted from working hard that she has to take a nap. And its obvious why. She was inspecting our products, on duty as pest control, sniffing as part of her poison detection duties, patrolling the premises, making sure everything was of high quality, and probably doing many more jobs that we mere humans couldn't understand. All cats are beautiful and Rue is no exception. What a great cat. I hope she is unionized because she definitely deserves to be. What a supeeb worker!

Came here to grab plants for three 5th grade science classes to do an experiment. Kate Ellen was a HUGE life saver and worked to help me find the best plant under the demanding conditions we were looking for along with setting it up to make it easier for classroom distribution. Thank you Kate for your knowledge and going above and beyond.

Not a good experience at all. We had a massive project (actually multiple projects) that we worked with Greenstreet on in phases. The 1st phase went smoothly. Come time for the second of the 3 phases where we spend THOUSANDS of dollars it was no good and a bunch of excuses. No follow-up after we spent the money as promised, but they definitely will call you about payment. The job was not complete with the scope of what we were told, sorry but true and we feel we were not consulted properly. We had to hire another company to try and fix some of the work that was done. It has been so frustrating because we never got a call back after repeated promises. So can not recommend them for landscaping work.

Hey there fellow garden enthusiasts! I recently had the pleasure of visiting Greenstreet Gardens in Virginia, and boy, was it a fantastic experience!Let me start by raving about their wide selection of flowers, vegetables, and trees. It's like a paradise for anyone with a green thumb! They've got everything you could dream of – from vibrant roses to exotic orchids, from juicy tomatoes to crunchy cucumbers, and from majestic oak trees to delicate cherry blossoms. Seriously, I felt like a kid in a candy store, but instead of candy, I was surrounded by the beauty of nature. And let's not forget about their garden accessories! Oh, they have all the tools and gadgets you could possibly need to make your gardening endeavors a breeze. But what truly sets Greenstreet Gardens apart is their support for local artisans. They've got a delightful range of handmade goods crafted by talented locals. I was blown away by the craftsmanship and unique designs. From hand-painted ceramic pots to charming garden sculptures, these pieces add a special touch to any outdoor space.Overall, my trip to Greenstreet Gardens was a delight. If you're looking to spruce up your garden or just want to immerse yourself in a green wonderland, this nursery should be at the top of your list. With their incredible selection of flowers, vegetables, and trees, plus a treasure trove of garden accessories and handmade goods, it's a one-stop-shop for all your gardening needs. Happy gardening, everyone!

Way too pricy but BEAUTIFUL plants. Philo prices are about what they were last year. Major drop in price for them. Amazing staff! Layout is a little confusing but DEFINITELY worth a stop by!

Wide variety of perennial plants and helpful staff- I’ve always gotten helpful recommendations on plants to purchase for different growing conditions and all are thriving (and I don’t have a green thumb). Good selection of vegetable garden plants and herbs, plus fruit trees and busted as well. When it gets busy, parking can be a pain. Also note that if you sign up for the loyalty program it will take several months before you are in the system (save your receipts to get credit for those purchases once you have your card!). Our go-to shop when we need to buy plants!

Mrs. Kate killed my plants over treatment them with peroxide water. MRS. KATE IS A FRAUD!!I purchased a pottery soil about 5 weeks ago at greenstreet house. Few days latter my plants got moldy and started to smell. After 5 weeksI went back there to ask for help . I meet Mrs. Kate and she asked me to bring pictures. I did. She offered to safe my plants that only has few yellow leaves and my favorite one has a lot of new babies leaves growing, the rest of the plant was totally blooming . She said they were over watering . Mrs Kate noticed the babies leaves growing too, only 2 leaves were yellow..3 days latter after I went back to pick up my plants at greenstreet house 3 of them were totally dried , my dear favorite plant had the leaves down, yellow with a pink shadow and a branch totally broken. Looks like my plants were out in the sun for the whole 3 days been forgotten and over treatment with peroxide water.Another plant was my daughter succulent plant. Mrs. Kate knew how important is was for my daughter. The plant was more damage and dried after been at the greenstreet house. My 10 years old daughter was in shock when she saw it. Holding her tears.I refused to pay for damaging my plants and I only got $10 off the the total price due to Mrs Kate excusing that she spent 3 days working on them. Mrs. KATE KILLED MY PLANTS USING SO MUCH PEROXIDE WATER CAUSING A FAST AND INVERSELY DAMAGE TO MY PLANTS..Mrs. KATE IS A FRAUD.She looked so knowledgeable, confident and friendly.. very attractive qualities to trust but dangerous after all…I trusted her my dear plants and she killed them :(There is not words for the pain of seeing my plants getting dry and yellow so fast. In 24 hours been back at home. . There is not words of seeing my daughter leaving greenstreet house in tears saying : why did you bring our plants to be killed for that lady? Our 3 plants are totally died after a day we brought them back home from greenstreet house. You lost a loyal costumer. I’ll never go back there.

I was excited to stop by as this location came highly regarded from my local plant group. The outdoor plants and trees look good, but it was a very different story for the houseplants. They did not look to be in good condition at all.I was especially excited to come across so many pink princess philodendrons in person, but sadly they looked to be overwatered and not receiving enough light. They were flopping over and looked sad. What a disappointment to have all those highly sought after plants in that condition.

Nice green place for shopping plants. I met a friendly shop assistant at the gate n informative. But the assistants at the check out desk just too serious with customer. Marketing is important...anyone counts.
