Great! I love the Guitar Center! I enjoyed browsing around! I went there with my daughter and a friend. We all were shopping for percussion instruments and a guitar! They offer classes(lessons) too. The staff were musicians and knowledgeable! We bought a lot of goodies!

Guitar center was nice, the overhead music is way too loud, however; every time I buy something I somehow get the clerk with the crappiest attitude ever (Kayla). I thought maybe I caught her on a bad day and she was just taking it out on me but every time it’s always the same experience. I rather order online than to have to deal with someone who acts like they don’t want to be there and the customers are bothering her while she’s in the middle of playing with her social media.

If I could I would give them NO stars. I was there with my husband on Friday 12/15/23, he was looking at a DJ phase that was on the shelf , the Sale price tag said $349.99, It was that price cause someone ordered it on line and never picked it up so the put it on sale. Since I was getting it for my husband for Christmas I went back Sunday to get it . Thank goodness it was still there with the sale price on it. So I asked the sales person to get it for me then he asked if I wanted to purchase warranty for it ,I asked how much he said all together was $500..plus(don't remember exact amount) he was charging me regular price for the phase which is $449.95 I told him it was on sale the tag was on the shelf still. He went and checked and he said it expired on 11/29. now I didn't see the expiration date on it but I spoke the guy on Friday and he said that price was good thru the holiday. So then I asked for the Manager he said he was the manager. he was no help ! that was the one thing I wanted to get for my husband and he wouldn't give to me for the sale price that was there for more than three week. I told my husband to find another place to go for your DJ equipment.

The employees try. I've found some very knowledgeable employees that will give a real effort to help u find "a sound" and not just a product. Rockville and Seven Corners are especially bright spots. My last visit was disappointing as they halted all gear buying for the holiday or whatever the line was. It seemed like the employees were trying, but corporate overlords being what they are, they were unable to help. Might be time to switch completely to independent shops.

Came in on a Friday evening to shop for keyboard and related items, and boy do these guys really make you feel invisible. No greeting upon arrival, no greeting from anyone that worked there the entire time we were there, they were so engrossed with their conversation and/or whatever was on their phones that live human shoppers were inconsequential to the business. For shame.

I guess if you don't want a guitar they don't want to give you customer service--although they didn't seem to mind the actual taking money part everything else was like pulling teeth.I am a vocalist who has a small business running karaoke and DJ shows and came in looking for a gig bag that I could use for my mic stand and associated equipment. Came in and homeboy was playing guitar at the register--cool no problem. I ask him to point me to to the gig bags he looks at me funny and says they don't sell them for mic stands and that all they have for me are $200 hard cases for DJ setups--not at all what I was asking for but understandable as my sense is this kid figures I'm not a "real" musician.Anyway I said thanks for the help and wandered around till I found their gig bags and found a really nice Gator bag that fit my needs.Next was the egregious part.I saw a nice cardoid mic on sale for $55 dollars in a locked case. I went back to homeboy and told him I wanted to pic up one of his cardoid mics and if he could open the case for me. Again, looked at me like I had 3 heads. After repeating myself 2-3 times he accompanied me to the case, I asked for "that one, the cheap one on sale," (ostensibly priced at $55) which he grabbed for me. Rang me up--over $300 for the mic and bag and other bits and bobs. I check the receipt, the mic was over $100. I asked them why the mic was $100 instead of $55 like it said on the shelf and their answer was that things on the shelf and prices were out of order. Duh. Fix it.After offering to "resell it to you at the advertised price," homeboy took me to the front to process the return, then changed his story and said that I had to pay the $105 or return it for a full refund. Like what? That's totally diff from what you said 2 mins ago.Asked the manager if there was anything he could do and he just explained to me that nothing is organized properly and all the prices are either not right on the shelf or the items and in the wrong places. Sounds like a you problem buddy. The manager was cool enough but the sales associate was a joke. I get it that retail sucks dude but when someone walks into your store ready to drop bills, you pay attention to them and give them service. Will not be returning since you can find stuff cheaper online these days. Used to come to GC for the product knowledge and expertise but evidently they don't prioritize that kind of training anymore. A shame.
