I went there for blood tests. Service was fast and professional. Most results were available the same day

My experience was okay. Everything was pretty outdated, from the furniture to the equipment, but seemed pretty clean. I was the only one there but had to wait 10 minutes while the receptionist talked to the guy setting up the water cooler. Though the staff were nice enough and once I checked in the process was quick. I was done within my appointment window.I've had my blood drawn at several INOVA facilities and this office wasn't as nice as the others I've visited, but overall my experience was fine.

Making an appointment online was super easy. I went in and was greeted right away, signed in, and was called within 5 mins. The young lady took me to the back and proceeded with the procedure of drawing my blood (I have small veins, so Im a little difficult). She found my vein on the first try, and I was in and out! The room isn't huge, so I would think they would have to have very experienced phlebotomist to get you in and out due to the amount of space. I would recommend this place to anyone. My experience was great!

My visit to Inova Labs was awful. The waiting room was packed, people had to stand. They over scheduled people, thus the wait was at least 30 minutes after your appointment time.

Speaking as a former dialysis patient these past 11 years, and someone who's 17 days post-kidney transplant, I have had blood draws thousands of times. My experience today was THE WORST. The front desk was poorly organized even when I was the ONLY one waiting. Even worse was the new phlebotomist who needed guidance LABELING the 14 vials. That should have been my first clue. I tolerated her poor technique until she needed two sticks to draw blood for two vials. At that point I insisted on a different phlebotomist who rapidly drew the remaining vials. I will NEVER return to this lab.

I get bloodwork done here because it's in the same building as my dermatologist. Keep in mind it is just a lab. On my first visit the front desk staff who checked me in also drew my blood. It was smooth and pain-free. She's awesome. The following visit a younger technician tried to draw my blood. Both arms, three spots, FISHING under my skin for the vein...then got so worked up she pulled the needle out quickly and left the room. An older tech came in, apologized and took my blood on the first draw. My arm took a month to recover from the bruising caused by the second tech though.

I was kind of skeptical of going to this location to get my blood drawn due to the amount of low ratings, but personally I had no problems at all. Staff was friendly and professional, and wait time wasn’t bad.

I went here today for some special blood work. I walked into a empty waiting room and thought, great! I said to the Asian lady and black lady, "How are you doing? and was completely ignored. The Asian lady was talking on her cell phone to a family member or friend. I stood at the desk and the black lady, who was texting on her cell phone, snaps at me and says "SIGN IN", so I did and just stood there. After 15 seconds, I went to sit down, and the black lady once again snaps at me and says, "I need your insurance card and a photo ID". At this point I walked out due to their poor and unprofessional behavior. If you want to be treated like garbage, this is the place for you. Otherwise find some place else to get your labs done.

Inova is always the best.

Takes walk-ins for bloodwork (granted you have a physician's order). Phlebotomist was a very nice lady. Located down the street from the Inova Alexandria Hospital. Free underground garage parking.

After reading other reviews, I wonder if mine is an outlier, but in my experience, I brought my infant child in and the waiting room was empty, which is great and they got us right back and out in under 10 minutes. No excessive paperwork or anything. They were super polite and accommodating and loved my child (which earns anyone great credit with a parent) and gentle with him in an otherwise traumatic experience. Especially contrasting this with my wife's experiences visiting LabCorp, this seems like far and above a better, more convenient, cleaner option.

I have been here a few times and never had a bad experience but i went there three weeks ago and one of lady that drawn blood ran out the room and told the receptionist i will be right back. There were about six people waiting. I saw her downstairs talking to a friend who was in car about flowers and how the boyfriend gave her friend flowers. So she left people waiting upstairs to go to the parking lot to have a conversation with her friend about flowers. Very unprofessional.

Terrible. Very rude receptionist is also the phlebotomist that will draw your blood. She removed the needle used to draw blood, then realized she didn’t draw for one on the tests. She had to reinsert another needle. Days later I have bruising in the spot where she inserted the needles. I’ve never had bruising from an IV or bloodwork. Then, I got a call back a few days later that I needed to come back because she did not draw enough blood. Absolutely unbelievable.

They never answer a phone call. And their voicemail is always full. My doctor was frustrated that Ale x Lab never respond to phone calls.
