If you want a place of integrity and patient advocacy, this place is not it. I came here as a new patient, from the first visit, it’s been all lies. Instead of just taking accountability for human errors and building trust with patients, they just give you the run around. Honestly, there is no such thing as HIPPA in this establishment when it comes to DOCTORS delivering test results over the phone. If you just say yes you are the person they are asking for, they will discuss everything until they realize it’s not the right person. Dr. Seriki 0/10, would not recommend, no bedside manner, no regards for HIPPA, no integrity, and will pin the blame on the patient if you call her out on a mistake. I guess it’s all about the money and not the patients anymore.

Staff not so polite or professional. Would not come back to this clinic. As a new patient I definitely felt welcomed. I will try other locations. Front desk people need better “customer” service training, unacceptable. Just read comments from a year ago, nothing has changed.

Don't even try coming here. You can't get an appointment unless you're dying. I have a brain tumor and severe asthma and when I got sick I couldn't see any doctor at this facility for 3 months. So unless you can plan your illness 2-3 months out there is no point to even come here. Doctors are very nice and so is the staff but I couldn't get an appointment with any doctor! I left my last doctor because of the lack of availability and I'm leaving this one too now! also this is not just recently this has been going on for 2 years.

I absolutely love this practice! I have been coming here since I moved to Maryland in 2019 and every time has been a pleasant experience. Some highlights to speak on:1) Parking is ample, both street parking and the lot that is tucked behind the building. 2) Wait time is minimal (~10 min if that?) when you enter to check in for your appointment. By the time you're finished filling out all the necessary forms, a nurse comes out and calls you to take vitals.3) Everyone is kind is professional. My PCP at this practice is Dr. Kwabena Owusu and he is THE BEST. I actually had my annual physical with him today. Very personable, easy going, and friendly. One time I had a mild scare (too embarrassing to go into detail lols) and called the office to see if he could fit me in. Despite him having a full schedule, he was willing to quickly fit me in for a quick 10-15 consultation for my issue. He is wonderful and would recommend him if anyone is looking for a PCP.I'm actually surprised that there are such low ratings for this practice, but I don't require much. As long as people are professional, generally nice, and don't speak down/at me, I'm a happy camper.

The worst experience ever! The front desk and nurse need to go back and get trained again in people skills. Ever since the prior receptionist left, the service has become deplorable. Smitten comments and aggressive tones when spoken to as a patient. The front desk will speak to you in a dismissive manner. I let the first time go but not now. When trying to explain where to locate messages in the MyChart, the nurse will say he can not see it. No effort to listen to the patient so the matter can be addressed. It is sad. Tish place used to be welcoming and made the effort to get to know the patients. I have been going here since my son was 10 and now he is 19. A change is needed.

I've seen Dr Michael Redding for 6 years or so. He is exactly what I want in a primary care physician: he listens, he asks pertinent questions, he's a good diagnostician, and he's great about referring out when that's what's necessary. He's also quite funny - though that's probably not very relevant:). His medical assistant, Rita, is worth her weight in gold. So why not 5 stars? Since Inova bought his practice, the red tape to schedule an appointment or get a message to Dr Redding is ridiculous. I do whatever I can to avoid having to interact with the "customer service" people (which is who you get when you call). Anything. I message through MyChart. I make telehealth appointments using the online system. I ask my pharmacist to request prescription refills. Whatever it takes -- because they really are that bad. Perhaps they could send those folks to John's Hopkins for training...

In general I have had nothing but good experiences with this office. The doctors here are passionate and skilled, I feel like my health is a real priority to Dr. King!

Outstanding practice in every respect. Customer focused. Staff are professional, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Wait times are minimal. Highly recommend.

This is the only primary care pediatrician in the area that will see young children that also accepts our health insurance. I'm a single, full-time working mom, and as a combat veteran, I had veteran's day off, so I used that opportunity to set up a new patient's appointment and get my little one vaccinated. The appointment was at 230pm, we showed up at 235pm because toddler and traffic and we never been there before, and by the time we got through the line, they refused to see us. Set me into a litteral panic attack, because I work and they close before I can get there. I spent the rest if the day desperately trying to find a pediatrician that would see children that young, accept our insurance, had the resources to vaccinate, and was open durring a time that I didn't have to miss work. Their belergerance put a combat veteran, sigle parent into a full-blown PTSD panick attack on veteran's day because I was unable despite my best efforts to protect my child and do right by them. It would be nice to be one of those parents with a stay-at-home-wife to handle this kind of thing, wouldn't it? What do single parents do in this situation that work? How can you possibly manage both if you just move here for a job, and have zero friends or family in the area??? No wonder so many sigle parents are on welfare, becasuse this is so hard despite having a decent enough job, especially in a community with no empathy. I feel sick all over again just writing this review!

Like someone else stated here, I think Dr. Tawanna King is a very competent caring doctor but she is hard to schedule with and there have been some administrative problems with referral requests. I have since talked to the office manager who was very responsive so hopefully things will improve.

I really do like the doctors but they scheduled their appointments for such short times to make more money that you won't get out of there without at least a 50 minute wait. And it's just getting worse with time.

I have been going here for years. The front desk staff is excellent and Dr. Janis Caruso is top-notch. I saw Dr. Redding once and he, too, is excellent.

after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, my appointment was cancelled three days before and the earliest rescheduling is nearly a month away. I actually want healthcare. Complete false advertising. "Why wait weeks to get answers for your health needs when you could see a primary care provider today?" If there's any capacity in being able to achieve this at all, it wasn't extended to me

Although Dr. King was the best doctor I ever had, Inova Mt Vernon is the worst medical experience that I have ever had. The doctor went out of my network and the office did not ever inform me. When I found out I was not in-network, I called to office to ask them about it and they LIED DIRECTLY TO ME and told me that I was in-network. Only when I insisted they tell me the truth did they admit I was out of network and had been for over a YEAR. Every time I called they said they would call back and that my bill would be canceled. I called them one a week for months straight and the office manager did not call me back. Now the bill has been sent to a collections agency- all this for something that was free if I was actually in-network like they told me. Absolutely fraudulent business practices. Avoid at all costs.
