Great place. Metro station nearby (7-minute ride to DCA). Heart of old town. Highly recommend if you're flying from DCA.

Stayed at the Lorian for 3 nights. The hotel has a nice courtyard and lobby area and the location on King Street is great. However it's an older program and the guest rooms badly need updating. Furnishings are shabby, bedside clock looked like it was acquired in the 60s and didn't work and the bedding was what you'd expect in a 2 star motel. They charge you for access to their "spa" whether you use it or not. Overall for the same money, there are better alternatives if you don't need to be directly on King Street.

Nothing short of amazing....its cute, chic, and a complete class act - having a spa connected is not a bad perk eitherThe location is perfect and the staff is genuinely attentive (with the exception of one particular person)I would stay here again and again

Stayed here for a business trip after all hotels in the event area were booked. Turns out this was a great decision! Rooms are clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating. For the rate, I honestly thought it was a great deal. There's plenty of places to eat within walking distance and the coffee at the Tasting Room downstairs is excellent. Highly recommended. My only complaint is my neighbors were being a little loud one night and the walls do not really suppress a lot of noise. Even then, I'd still come back, Thanks so much!Food & drinks: Lot of options nearby, even a 24 hr diner within walking distance

Understated elegance in uptown, this boutique hotel will charm even the saltiest of souls. The courtyard features a clock tower and fountain with smartly placed lighting. The staff are tremendous, from the desk to the valet, three cheers! Rooms are modern but approachable, we enjoyed the indirect lighting as it played with the art on the walls. Perfectly placed on King Street just steps from the Metro, Lorien is a welcome retreat for any traveler.

I had a pleasant stay. Nice location, excellent staff. No complaints other than wishing there was a microwave in the room, and I didn't care too much for the valet parking. I'm not sure if there were any other parking options.Rooms: It's a tight fit but not uncomfortable.

Loved our stay here for the holiday weekend! The hotel is beautiful. Staff are all very kind and professional. Our room with the balcony was very nice. The steam room in the ladies' spa area was down for the entirety of our visit, and they were closed on Monday. That's the only complaint. Thanks for a nice stay!
