Racist and Disrespectful Teachers and Director. The worst place to send your children and apply for a job.

La petite at kings town is a terrible place to work , the children are wonderful but the management and team leader are bullies , all african American management and when i tell you its bad, its the truth gossip from morning till closing. management huddles in the office and talk about certain teachers making staff feel uncomfortable and causing people to quit .very stressful environment ,the so call team leader is just straight out rude and dont have a problem with calling people names on the job ....which can be a form harassment and it was reported but nothingwas done ...so they have the do the next best step far as reporting those people ,,,,,i no longer work there i recently quit. and i do not recommend any good hard working person to apply.corporate needs to be contacted and be a where of whats going on , the team leader needs to resign because she is very unprofessional, and management needs to run the place properly instead of talking about the teachers and let staff no gossip will not be tolerated ,,,, its a children day care ...staff attention should strictly be on the kids and not on each other .not a good place to work at this time .

This daycare is fabulous. Most of the staff have been there for years which tells you that the culture there is good. My son has been in Ms. Nikki's pre-k class for about 8 months. The staff is so fantastic. My son is heading into kinder and on a 504 for ADHD and when the staff at the elementary school learned he was coming out of Ms. Nikki's class, they were thrilled. They said kids coming out of her class transition well to kindergarten. The admin at the daycare are also wonderful. The director was very responsive to any concerns I had, and had meetings with my sons play therapist to make sure the school staff knew what was going on with my son and how best to support him. I truly can't recommend this center enough!

I just performed at this school and was thrilled to work with such an amazing director (Kayla) and staff. I could tell immediately how much the teachers enjoy working with their kids and it was fun to see them laughing and enjoying the show with their children. They we’re friendly, professional and an absolute breeze to work with and I look forward to seeing them again. Keep up the great work.

Our daughter went here in both the Infant class and Toddler class. We thought it was an excellent daycare facility and the staff clearly cared for the children. Highly recommend!

As a single mom who never had her son in daycare, selecting a daycare was hard. My son was just about to turn 3 and I was so nervous about trusting strangers to watch him.La Petite had great reviews and I selected them based upon the staff, cleanliness and conversations I had with existing parents who took their children there. And I talked to probably 5-7 different parents. They all had positive things to say and the only negative being they were a little higher on the price point, but worth every penny. They have an app that you can use to talk directly with the teacher/staff and the platform is designed to give you updates on your child as well as to provide pictures throughout the day. They do this as often or as little as you prefer and everyone is super sweet about it. They have a camera drop in where I can look in on my son whenever I’m feeling separation anxiety. And you can always request additional pictures or videos from the teachers as well.My first few months were hard as there were lots of tears, but the staff not only comforted my son, but me as well. They never once made me feel guilty or bad for having a sad day where I just needed a few extra minutes to hold my son before he went into their care. And for those mornings where I was in a rush and my son needed extra soothing, they would take him and engage/distract him so that the initial separation anxiety would be kept to a minimum. They have a peletera of activities that engage the children in, from play, to dancing, to painting - and incorporating learning as they go. They do picture days, just like school, and spirit week as the seasons change to keep it fun.We are in the middle of a pandemic now and they have still remained vigilant to providing this same experience - just with some extra sanitizing, mask wearing and hand washing.I’d highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for that caregiver that checks all the boxes. And the staff, especially Kayla and Jackie - are amazing (shout out to Ms. Tiffany and Ms. Esther) - who have been my sons direct care givers!

I absolutely love this center! The staff is amazing and treated my child as their own. They take the time to get to know each child in a personal level. You can tell they really care for the kids they have. The infant team is the dream team! Would recommend this place again and again.

Love , love, love. We moved out 2 daughters from a "bad situation" in another school, and the difference is night and day. The teachers don't change (some were in the same building for 20 years) which says a lot about the quality of everyone life. Ms Nicky in pre-K is a magician. She is so engaged with the kids. She does not yell or scream or intimidate. She just has a way of controlling 30 kids without anyone feeling intimidated or overlooked. They provide a lot of learning activities and are much more than a "daycare". Ms Angela and Ms Donita in after school care help the kids with homework, and never let the mixed age class get out of hand. Ms Jackie has been there for years, and is the loveliest teacher ever. She will take time to talk to each child in a respectful manner, and they solve problems together. The 2s class is so much smaller than most other schools, which makes it just amazing. Ms Melisa leads her class very efficiently while keeping the day fun for the kids. Many times you will find her lying on the floor at nap time, singing to the "restless" child, while petting their back to sleep. We came from a very bad school (we only stayed one month) to an absolute dream. Sure, the director can seem a bit "stern", but she does run a tight ship that is quite afloat. She is capable of retaining her employees, handling unexpected situations, engage with all the children, and is a very loving and kind woman inside.

This place is amazing. Our kids love it and the teachers and staff are sweet and caring. The teachers have mostly been there for a long time. We will miss it when we move!

I scheduled a tour and wasn't there for more than 6 minutes. I was looking for a part time/flex care option. The 'Flex Care' they claim to have as an option is not realistic. You have to call the day of to see if they have a spot, then you are placed on a waiting list, which is not a reliable option. For the part time option, they make you pay the full week, no matter how many days you bring your child....so you pay full time prices ($430-$465/wk) for 1-2 days. Unimpressed.

We had a pretty bad encounter at La Petite. While we were otherwise happy with the facility, our daughter told us one of her teachers hit her. Our daughter had a mark on her where she said the teacher hit her. We took it very seriously - filed a police report, and cooperated with investigations by both Child Protective Services and the Department of Social Services. Initially, we were encouraged by the school's decision to place the teacher on administrative leave during the investigation. However, we were told by the school's Director that "it didn't happen." Also, upon initially reporting the incident to the school, the assistant director told us "nobody hit anybody, let's just calm down." After days of trying to work through the situation (because it was our desire to keep our children in the school as long as the teacher was permanently removed), we ultimately pulled them out due to the response of those in authority at La Petite. Layered on top of my issue with the school, several other parents contacted the Director and her Regional supervisor to also reports concerns about the teacher in question. Through all of this, the school stood by this teacher. We were extremely disappointed (not a strong enough word) at the way things played out. Initially, we didn't want to cast judgement on an entire organization because of what we thought was one bad apple, but when we realized that management was not willing to address such a serious concern, echoed by numerous other parents, we felt that we couldn't call ourselves responsible parents and keep our kids enrolled at the same time. Given the protective nature of this school for their employees (and not the children), I would advise against anyone taking their child here.
