Absolutely LOVE this place! Excellent selections. I always get great gifts. Extremely friendly staff. It's hands down one of the best original artwork stores in the entire DMV.

It is a courtesy to offer to hold items at cash register. That way my hands are free to pickup and look at other items. That is what many high end shops do. They are customer service oriented. People who work at this shop are wonderful.

Delightful selection of local crafted items, especially love the cement products by Nomadico. I can't wait to go back next time I am looking for a gift.

Love the variety of items from local small businesses! Free parking in the same building which is unheard of in old town! There are a wide variety of classes to learn new skills and take items home with you that you made. Definitely recommend stopping in.

Stopped by the shop this afternoon to look for Christmas gifts for my family, picked up a cute magnet for my car, and was immediately asked by the cashier if he could “hold it for me” while I kept shopping. Such a gentleman, but I prefer when the businesses I frequent don’t assume I look like a shoplifter.Update: in the future, if you would like some advice on how to treat your potential customers, if you are concerned that a customer looks like a threat, you could ask her if you can help her find something, instead of just implying that you would like her to keep your products at the counter so the cashier can keep an eye on them. Or share your assistance and excellent customer service to other customers in the store so that it does not appear directed at just one person. But the sarcasm and tone deaf reply was definitely a nice touch. I won’t be back. Thanks for your response.

Not a great experience for a friend who went in. She tried to buy something, didn't feel comfortable with the way she was treated or the response to her disclosing it.

I signed up for an art class for my 5 year old. The class was advertised on event bright as a 2 1/2 hour event. When I got there I was told to be back in 1 hour. The employee behind the desk did not seem to know what the schedule was and when I dropped my daughter off, it did not feel like a welcoming environment. I know this is not childcare but false advertisement has never sat well with me.

Made in Alexandria gifts, goods, art, snacks, dog treats, candles, books, shirts, spices, wood carvings, ceramics... you name it! All the best things to gift visitors and guests, or to take home a piece of Alexandria made by artisans of Alexandria! Love-Love
