In a spur of the moment visit to Alexandria, found this quaint little shop that turned out to be nice surprise. Bruce was in the store and helped us find the perfect fabric for our special chair. We’ve been looking for the prefect fabric to match the elegance and design of the chair but couldn’t find the perfect one, until we found Bruce. Here it is…all done and ready for no one to sit in it ?. Thanks for the help and professional recommendation on design…it’s beyond perfect now!

Rave review. The last time I recovered my furniture, I spent months traveling from one design shop to another looking for material that appealed. Recently I found exactly what I did not know I was looking for here. Bruce stocks this jewel of a shop with elegant, charming fabric and home goods. And his upholsterer expertly applies the fabric.

This is the only place on the planet that I would go to for slipcover fabric; and all types of lamps and accessories. Everything in the shop is of the best quality and the owner has exceptional taste. He has helped me decorate two homes and been an architect for a renovation of a third.

Not just a beautiful shop, but the owner’s vast experience in decor and architecture is well worth a visit, a chat, and possibly having him help you with your decorating needs. A legend in Alexandria, both the shop and the owner!

Is such a quiet and peaceful place. Is great for jogging and walk around. Is located next to King Street and is just a walking distance from the hotel that I stay (Hotel Indigo, Alexandria).

Catch the farmers market during Saturday, if there are any event in Old Town, this is the place to see. During night time, its all lit up and we just love taking a walk here

The market square in front of City Hall makes for a nice stop for a break while walking on King Street. Stand on the steps for a nice picture with city hall in the background .

Stopped by a couple times during our stay, lots of events and concerts here seems there is usually something going on. In the morning it's so nice to listen to the water with and sip a great cup of coffee.

Walking on King Street and needing a rest, this is your spot. Tables with umbrelas and chairs around the cooling fountain.

We walked through the square. It is bricked and has a nice fountain in the center. There are some quiet places to sit in the shade along the North side. It is very hot in the summer.

Market Square Shop truly is one of Old Town's gems, with an added gem of owner, Bruce! Always a pleasure to enter his shop, to buy, browse or just to chat! He carries a wealth of exquisite merchandise, all carefully selected, high quality items. Personally, I never have needed to make use of his interior design/decoration services, but absolutely know to whom I would I turn should the need arise in the future. Love, love this shop!
