I’ve visited this location a few times, and while my initial experiences were modest, this will likely be my last visit. Compared to the welcoming atmosphere at the Old Towne, Woodbridge, or Pentagon City locations, this one falls short.
From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel unwelcome, which was disappointing. The gentleman behind the counter (JC, I believe) was curt and somewhat rude. After purchasing several cigars, I settled in the lounge to enjoy one. However, when a delivery arrived, he abruptly started moving the table I was sitting at without a clear explanation, making me feel like I was in the way despite being in the corner, out of the main walkway. A polite request would have gone a long way.
It’s unfortunate because this is the closest spot to me, but the experience didn’t feel friendly or inviting.

What a fantastic recommendation from these folks at KINGSTOWNE!!! The Plasencia 149 earned her in the top 5 on my list even my #1 or #2. Ordering 2 boxes tonight!
The 149 is a full-bodied profile and it is smooth.
I wish I had caught the name of the fella that helped me, regardless thank you !

Extremely disrespectful staff.
As a customer of 6+ years in my 50s I was ordered to leave my phone bag outside the humidor. Nobody else was in the store apart from 2 staff members & I was treated like a teenage shoplifter. It was humiliating & totally uncalled for.
This shop had a convenient location but I will never use it again. There are much better options in Alexandria & in DC, I'd rather go out of my way than be treated like a criminal.
They are way over priced & a lot of stock hasn't moved since the first time I went in there. Literally 1 in 3 visits the register doesn't work & you spend 15 mins while they try & figure it out. Most of the staff just treat it like a hangout &

Arrived at 6:01 and they said they closed at 6:00, that’s ridiculous!!! They said the registered was closed!!!!! RIDICULOUS!

Great selection of cigars with fair prices. Plenty of places to hangout and smoke inside if you want to as well. I felt very welcomed and really enjoyed my visit.

New Manager at OVTC Kingstowne was very disrespectful and rude to me when I was speaking to one of the other employees. She kept interrupting our conversation and acted as if her employee didn't know what she was talking about. Actually the employee did know what she was talking about and the Manager had no business trying to get into our conversation when we were not talking to her. I won't be returning to his OVTC. Sad, because I was one of their first customers when they opened their store and lounge in Kingstowne. And yes, I have been told I'm not the only one she's been rude and disrespectful to. A couple of my Veteran buddies mentioned it as well. Bye, Bye OVTC Kingstowne!

Needed a cigar to round out my evening and this was the perfect spot.Eric was super nice and knowledgeable. Didn’t mind answering my novice questions.They have a lovely selection of cigars and although they aren’t labeled with descriptions Eric was able to suggest several selections for us and provide all the details.There is a smoke lounge on location. There is no alcohol in the lounge but im sure it’s nice to just light up and chill. Pop in and give them a visit

Walked in having not a clue what to get as a gift for a friend. The fellas working we’re friendly, professional and super helpful! The shop was full of happy customers and the guy in front of me at check out boasted about being a repeat customer. Would absolutely recommend, thanks!

8/1/22 1130 Wanted to buy $800 worth of cigars for a bachelor party. 2 employees (a white guy and a black guy) were working, apparently they were doing inventory. Neither said a word to me when I entered nor while I was browsing. The white guy actually worked around me doing inventory. So after 20 min I left. Customer service normally starts with a welcome. I got nada. With that said I went elsewhere. I'd actually go back if I received a response of some sort but doubtful that will happen. Oh well I spent my money elsewhere. It may be a good place but I'll never know.
