Purchased a vehicle here in Dec 2020, loved the car. Had troubles with a warranty issue and the staff was condescending along with no action to remediate. After finally getting the issue resolved more than twice as long as promised, I traded in for a Mercedes and a dealership that understands the premium car buying experience and service. Too many premium brands and dealers in the area to play these types of games.

Yes, yes, and yes! We have a Land Rover LR2. Overland was absolutely great. I called them for the first time and the gentleman I spoke with was very pleasant and detailed. I was having trouble explaining the noise we were hearing from our car, but he was patient with me and talked it through. He then explained they would charge us for looking at the car and what that hourly rate was, asking if that was ok. We were on board and scheduled our appointment. We did a night drop and heard from them the next day. They talked us through the issues and told us the cost. I can honestly say, I was nervous to hear the outcome because it's an old car, but Land Rovers can really hurt your heart when there's an issue. However, the price was extremely reasonable. We were relieved! They had to keep our car for a few days to get the parts in and they were very transparent throughout the process. I car now runs well and without any concern. I highly recommend Overland and we will be coming back!

I use to stick to dealerships because I could track what service had been done. Out of necessity I tried overland4x4 for an oil change. The treated me well and got me in quick. While I was there I decided to have them do my further services, brakes and fluid flush. Again I couldn't be happier with what I got and my car is in better condition. Go here.

Overland 4x4 is my go-to Spot for any problems related to my restored 1985 Jeep CJ-7 Renegade. The owner John and his staff really know their stuff regarding 4x4 vehicles. When I have a problem or modification I can't do myself, I go to Overland. Prices are very fair and reasonable, the staff is excellent and attentive to the needs of my Jeep! Thank you John and staff!!

I called for a rough estimate for a leveling kit and suspension fix. I thought that as a long-running mechanic shop they'd be able to at least give me a guess, or give any amount of guidance as to help me figure out what I would need to pay for the setup. Gave them the year, make, and model, and what I was looking for Zero help. Zero information. Guess I'll go somewhere else.

Second time taking my FJ40 Land Cruiser to Doug and the team at Overland. Very professional and easy to work with. I have a restored and modded FJ and they were able to replace a destroyed radiator ahead of schedule. Great work. Highly recommend.

I brought in my Range Rover Classic for an engine rattle, a HVAC fan that wouldn't blow on medium, and an ABS light on the dash. Overland diagnosed "the entire exhaust system" as the source of the rattle, the heater resistor as the fan fault, and a faulty ABS sensor. They claimed to be unable to find any of the parts to fix the vehicle and charged $330. Mind you, they fixed none of the above. Having owned 50+ collector cars, including 3 Range Rovers, I've used dozens of mechanics over the years, but never encountered a mechanic who wouldn't attempt a repair or give more thorough documentation of a diagnosis (i.e., "here's the part # you need" or "this is what we found with the borescope").Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Update 8-9-2021: I quit going there, due to a rude employee and, as it ends up, I am discovering they did not install the new lift trim along with other parts they were supposed and charged to install. I guess they threw them away. I sent a message to them, but doubt anything will be done due to the time lapse. Oh well, I guess I have to buy the parts they threw away again and locate and pay another mechanic to install them. The lack of decent auto shops in this area is sad.

Took my Jeep on to diagnose an error code. Error code was related to my transmission. My Jeep was here for 4 days. I was told the issue was caused by the button to deactivate overdrive was stuck. Charged me $500 to clean my stuck overdrive button. Did not resolve the issue.I don’t recommend their service.

John, regarding your comment about going "above and beyond" is blanket distortion of facts. I don't live an hour away. I never presumed to wait while you work and you had the jeep at least 10 days and as I recall the facts, your game plan was to put it on an alignment machine to see if frame was bent. Furthermore, I entrusted in you to make the necessary repairs on a reasonable timeline. I was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan by the fall and you had the jeep in early summer. That's a reasonable expectation I established and I had a back up vehicle. Very little was resolved at your shop. Your team was unresourceful and you were unresponsive. I asked you to correct the notorus wobble. You provided no sound recommendation and blaming the jeep is ridiculously insightful to all who review this post. It's very telling that nearly 4 years later, you respond!

Finding Overland 4x4 is like uncovering a treasure!!! Don't wait, go there now! I have always taken my Landrovers to the dealer In Alexandria because the cars are in warranty. I was continuing to take my current SUV there out of warranty until December when they put a $600 part on the invoice 3 times and wanted to replace rear brakes & rotors that had just been replaced 1 month earlier to get to a parking brake. No one bothered to double check or look at my record to see what had been done and I have been a long time customer, buying my first car there in 2004. I did not have the work done and found Overland. I spoke to John and Doug about the issues and they couldn't have been more helpful. Ultimately, they recommended not replacing the most expensive part the dealer said was failing, but they found a gas leak and mouse poops in the inside air filter! Those are things the dealer SHOULD HAVE found -- this is a car that I brought into the dealer religiously for every mileage check up and maintenance they recommended and it had just been at the dealer for an oil change and check up. I felt completely ripped off by Landrover Alexandria and unable to trust them. Overland 4X4 is just EXCELLENT!! They give amazing customer service, they are friendly & honest and will not try to do work that is not needed. I also just had a problem with a tire losing pressure and it was hard to figure out where the air was escaping. Theresa from Overland came to the rescue and figured out the problem. She didn't give up until the tire was fixed and was confident the air would not leak again. I can't recommend John and his team at Overland enough and thank them for the great work they have done in my vehicle!!!
