I love living at Post Carlyle Square. The staff are very kind and attentive.Service requests are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Overall the staff are great communicators, my neighbors are kind, the community is safe. They do raise the rent a lot after your first year, but overall the community and location is worth it.Short walk to the train station, to two metro stops and to Old Town? It’s a great location!

Great neighborhood. My apartment is spacious and comfortable. All my interactions with staff have been pleasant and productive with issues handled promptly. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a five is that I believe public spaces are not always kept as clean as they could be. The garage in 601 needs cleaning and fresh paint. The first floor foyer often has people's stuff left in it, clothes, kitchen equipment, etc. I sometimes leave books but they disappear quickly. The coffee machine which, when I moved here in 2017, always worked perfectly and made all the choices shown on the screen, has, for several years, only rarely been fully functional. I appreciate the efforts the office makes to create a sense of community, "Pet of the Month", treats at Halloween, etc. In spite of the concerns above, I like living in Post Carlyle and often recommend it to others as pleasant and enjoyable place to live.

Malachi was such a help and did a great job and everyone has been so nice. Communication was great and made the move in easy. Concierges are very helpful as well. Couldn’t be more pleased with the post Carlyle!

Edit (October 2023): We have now been at Post Carlyle Square a little more than three years and it’s still an absolutely fantastic place to live. The only thing that would make me consider moving is ridiculous rent increases, but fortunately for us they’ve averaged out to a completely reasonable and fair 2.3% each year.I thought I had previously written a review of our experience at Post Carlyle Square, but it seems not. That's okay, because we've now been here a full year and I can comment with more confidence.I cannot recommend Post Carlyle Square highly enough. The leasing office staff are all amazing, each and every one of them. They are quick to respond to emails and always answer any questions with a helpful attitude. I really appreciate their willingness to ensure our happiness. The maintenance staff are also top-notch. Requests for maintenance are responded to incredibly quickly and the staff are considerate of our space when they arrive to complete work. The buildings are kept clean and the grounds are lovely. We live on the top floor of the low-rise building and we NEVER hear noise from our neighbors. It's remarkable how quiet it is, really. Also, residents are allowed to hang wreaths on their doors and set out welcome mats, which is a nice touch. (We once rented a unit in a condo and this was NOT allowed.) I haven't had a chance to use the swimming pools, but the gyms are both well-equipped and kept at a pleasant temperature. We moved in during the pandemic (summer 2020) and I have to admit that I was a bit worried our rent would increase dramatically when we went to renew our lease. I am happy to report that our new lease terms are completely reasonable and we are ecstatic to sign a lease for another year.

Life at Post Carlyle Square is peaceful! The leasing office team are wonderful to work with … especially my personal favorite - Michelle! She was the first person I interacted with and has just been a tremendous advocate during my time here. I highly recommend PCS for the great living experience, location and professional team.

My fiancé and I have lived at Post Carlyle for about 3 years and have loved every minute of it! Walking distance to the metro, groceries, King St, and tons of local events make this hands down the best location to live in the DMV! The staff is exceptional at their jobs, professional, and friendly!

We have enjoyed Post Carlyle for almost 9 years in the same apartment home. I would not live anywhere else, great location, and close to amazing restaurants on King Street.

Great community! Very quiet area to live near old town. A bit of construction being completed across the street, but not to busy to be any inconvenience. Excellent staff! The office was very informative and made the move-in process stress free. I definitely would recommended others. Great experience thus far!

if you like living in a hostile environment, getting scammed, getting robbed, and having maintenance enter your unit completely inappropriately, LOOK NO FURTHER!!! this is quite literally the worst place i’ve ever lived. the only advice i can give is to stay far away from this place and ANY MAA owned communities. an employee broke and entered into our unit, STOLE AN INCREDIBLY LARGE AMOUNT OF MONEY, and the staff covered for him. the staff was completely resistant to working with us. and it’s not just the staff at this location, everyone including up through corporate is like this. after this incident a lot of the staff was RUDE to us for months following. maintenance continued to enter our unit against our wishes, clearly VIOLATING OUR LEASE. we would have loved to leave however as we know lawyers and moving are very expensive. also the leasing staff is incredibly hard to get in touch with. and let me add we rented our unit for $3400, when we decided not to resign it was relisted for $4200. so unless you like living in a hostile environment and getting scammed and robbed i would keep looking. i have friends at The Foundry down the street who enjoy it so check there if you like the neighborhood.let me say the concierge staff and Michelle are awesome. everyone else has quite literally brought me, a grown woman, to tears on several occasions. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!

Excellent community & really friendly staff! I was able to have all my needs met here. This community is very pet friendly and the leasing office staff is incredible and will go above and beyond to handle any issue. Perfect location near the water front and old town. If you plan to stop by, ask for Malachi!

I lived here for 5+ years, in one of the two high-rises, and management did a great job keeping the building clean and maintained, including the common areas. Maintenance is quick to respond to requests and does a great job repairing/fixing issues. Apartments are in great shape and very modern.Overall, the building is quiet, but you do regularly hear the apartment's door slam shut because they are heavy, thick doors. You can also sometimes hear your neighbors, especially the inconsiderate ones, but most neighbors are nice and quiet. Pets are allowed but I rarely hear dogs.Management has regular social events for tenants, which helps you meet your neighbors. They are usually fun and helps to build a positive community feeling. The leasing office seems to care about tenants and tries to keep you happy, especially Michelle. If you need anything, talk to her. She helped me with a lot and always friendly, professional and followed up.I can mostly say positive things about the building and I would recommend the high-rise buildings. I had no experience with the low rise and I was told they are a bit more noisy but I can't say. I would have continued to live here but work moved me.With 2 high-rises comes double amenities, i.e gyms, pools, court yards, meeting spaces, roof decks, etc. A great location, very close to 2 metro stations, shopping, old town, parks, etc.The building, however, was purchased by MAA and rent increased instantly, and by a lot, which are most of the complaints from old tenants. The building and management remained the same, with some minor upgrades to the buildings. The previous management company, Post, was outstanding and cared about it's tenants.MAA is purely profit driven and not so much customer focused; so keep that in mind.
