The worst public storage in the area! Stay away at all the means. The storage has lots of issues. Starting from rats that get into your boxes and chew things and ending with having no a/c and the temperature in the unit is so high in summer that it’s almost melting things inside. The units are dirty, light is broken and some of my boxes suffered from water leakage from the hole in the roof. The worst experience I could imagine. Managers are never in the office and it’s impossible to speak with anyone about those problems. Got my stuff damaged and filing insurance claims now. Never go back!!!

– Predatory Pricing, Unsafe Conditions, and Completely Useless Customer Service
Public Storage is a perfect storm of price gouging, unsafe conditions, and zero accountability. What began as a reasonable $150/month for a 10x10 unit ballooned to over $800/month—with no improvements, no upgrades, and no justification.
Let’s break it down:
Customer Service: When I called to question the outrageous price increases, I was met with complete indifference. I was told it was “corporate policy” and that “plenty of people are paying over $800 for a 5x5 unit.” That’s not an explanation—that’s an excuse. No concern for customer loyalty. No effort to help. Just a robotic, uncaring response that made it clear: they do not care.
Limited Access Hours: For the money they charge, 24-hour access should be a given. Instead, customers are stuck with restricted hours, which is incredibly inconvenient for anyone working full time or dealing with a move.
Infestation: I found rats and black widows in my unit—even though everything I stored was sealed in totes. That’s not user error, that’s a facility failure. At $800/month, pest control should be standard, not optional.
Neglected Property: The pavement around the units was littered with broken glass for over a year and never got cleaned up. Safety and cleanliness are clearly not a priority.
Between the exploitative pricing, hazardous conditions, and useless customer support, I would not recommend Public Storage to anyone. They take advantage of people who feel stuck, and they do the bare minimum in return.

Public Storage on Fordson RD in Alexandria have hands down the best customer service. Tiara was so helpful on explaining all my fee when rent is due. Hands down best experience I have in a long time ❤️🙏🏽
