This Quality Inn is absolutely atrocious. The room I was assigned smelt like a wet dog as soon as I walked in. I had to repeatedly insert my room key card before the door unlocked. The bed sheets had visible brown stains on them and their bathtub almost caused me to slip twice.

My goodness I love this business for so many reasons. I've stayed here many many times and each stay has been beyond excellent for me. I support and help 2 siblings that have been in and out of hospitals for 2 years. I chose Mt. Vernon Quality Inn because of the easy driving distance to visit both of them. I am always greeted and welcomed by the excellent staff here. they treat me like family and remember me each and every stay. I feel so comfortable and safe being here. The rooms are clean, roomy, comfortable, convenient, great amenities including breakfast room and laundry room. These were important to me for lengthy stays. There is outstanding security on site 24/7. Very close to restaurants and shopping. A pool, which I have not accessed because I seem to be here when it is fall/winter and it is an outdoor one. Looks nice though. Rooms have super comfy and clean bathrooms, refrigerator, microwave, safe, TV, internet and well lighted areas. The staff Tanya, Christy, Angela, Ale, Miguel and many more are extremely professional and personally sweet and nice assuring I feel safe and appreciated. This will always be my favorite place to unwind and relax after taking care of family. I live in Upstate NY so I travel to Virginia often. This hotel is perfect and reassuring for me to book reservations. I couldn't make a better choice for value and quality. The lobby is always decorated so nice each and every time I stay. They also are pet friendly and I have taken advantage of this benefit. Thank you very very much for your EXCEPTIONAL service and kindness. Please know I appreciate your sincere support while I deal with family health issues and thank you for always asking how they are doing. A wonderful and pleasant place to stay. I highly recommend!!!!♥️?

Police out front for guest problem on arrival. Room was adequately clean. Typical 3 star type room. No bugs anywhere which is extremely important to me. Extremely bad parking. If you have a big van/truck or any type of trailer go elsewhere. They have two big spots across the street in an unsecured area. The parking lot is made for compact cars. Lots of bums around. Definitely did not feel safe as a woman traveling alone. Door doesn’t have a slide lock or chain lock. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a really bad set up. Shower had major damage. Strangely the microwave and refrigerator are in the bathroom. They offer free breakfast but I’m not a breakfast person.Rooms: See aboveSafety: Does not feel safe. Parking area seems scary, lots of bums, police onsite on my arrival, doors don’t properly secure. Dark narrow passageways outside. I worried about the safety of my work truck all night. Had to get up multiple times to check on it.

Checkin was very easy - walked in, gave the desk my name, and they had my reservation with no issues. Reviewed the policies, signed and provided my ID and card I used to reserve. Got my keys and the WiFi password.Parking was pretty good - lots run parallel to the rooms, which from what I saw were all outside facing. Due to where my room was in relation to the stairs, I was unable to park at my door, but was able to park in the spot right behind that one.I get inside, and see two beds, desk with chair, nightstand, TV, and dresser. Further into the room was a mini fridge, microwave, and safe. The air was a wall unit, but worked pretty good minus the fan being very noisy.Bathroom sink is outside of the “bathroom”, which isn’t a problem. Most budget hotels do this, and it works out if you have multiple people in a room - one can shower, one can brush their teeth or do their makeup.Inside the water closet (“bathroom”), was very spacious. The walls on either side of the tub showed water damage, which was obvious why once I turned on the shower. The water pressure was so great that it was hitting the back of the tub wall and spraying outside onto the wall and floor. Closing the curtain was futile as the curtain rod was loose in the wall, and drooping in a way that forced the shower curtain to about about 6-8” on either side. I ended up using all of the towels to clean up the mess on the floor. The tub had rust around the drain, and had a single place to perch your body cleaning supplies. The towels mostly looked clean, but one hand towel in the sink area had stains of some sort. The water coming out of the sink smelled of mold, though that could have been the drain - not sure. The coffee maker cord was obviously shut very hard in a door or drawer, as the cable was crimped so badly that the electrical leads were exposed. There were complimentary shampoo, body wash, and lotion bottles as well as supplies for the coffee.I saw an ice bucket, but failed to find the ice machine on premise. The mini fridge was also due for replacement. The gasket was damaged so much that it was struggling to keep temp, and the ice maker portion was thawing out as quickly as it could freeze. I stuck two ice packs and 6 bottles of water in the fridge, and neither were super cold by morning. The beds are great if you’re renting a room for a fun night. Bounced as much as a trampoline. Linens were pretty clean, but the other bed had a spot that I could not identify.Overall, as far as budget hotels goes, this one was on the cleaner end, but I’m not sure I would stay here again.Rooms: Not the the best shape.

We're rudely treated because we booked through a 3rd party. Room was full of bugs, perhaps cockroaches. We had to contact the place we booked to get a refund. They said they couldn't do it at desk and would not give us a receipt. 2nd room was fine.

One of the front desk agents was very nice I think she is the manager but the room was horrible. When i arrived the first room had burn marks in the bed and 2nd bed cover was worn, door didn’t close without being forced shut it looked like someone broke it in, toilet was terrible second room had a broken microwave. They give you a ticket for breakfast and this lady came out interrogating me the next morning when i came down to get a waffle saying i checked out and asking my name (which was on the ticket) I stayed for one night and showered with sandals on. The surrounding area was hood. All i heard was sirens and saw bums camped outside. They don’t clean properly you can tell the linen had not been washed and when I reported the stains on the bed to the front desk she told me I should have waited until after 4 to check in because of those little things. I arrived at 3:40pm. I will never stay here againRooms: Low quality, not clean

The cleaning solution was laid on a little thick, and the AC leaked onto the carpet, but the staff was very kind. I was sick during my stay there, and a staff person called to check on me every night after they found out.

We stayed there for three nights. We had to change the room three times. First room smelled like smoked in there. Second the flooring was wet and the toilet was clogged. The third room wifi wasn't working but we were tired of changing. Cleaning was good but required maintenance like the doors weren't closing properly, the refrigerator wasn't cooling, there was no hot water in the shower.Although booking time it says it has pool but wasn't working.Despite all, the location was good, restaurants nearby, downtown is a 20-30 min drive and very peaceful.

I liked the front office better before it was renovated! Classic look and decor was better than modern bare approach. However, this motel is great all around.

Rooms are very outdated and bed was horrible. I would of been better of sleeping on the floor. Rooms were not the cleanest. I cleaned everything before I used anything and the dirt was on 1000. Please update Rooms and clean better. Breakfast could have been better. But decent enough to hit the spot?. For the price of it. It kinda sums it up as to you get what you pay for. But to save money this is the go to place.

They have a pool outside but it is closed. The pictures you see of indoor and outdoor pools are not theirs. Not the best location if you aren't used to city life. The personnel behind the counter where very kind and respectful. Let's just say the counter had class on it counter to ceiling. Definitely not worth the 150 for 1 night.

Great location. Safe. Quiet. We had our dog and cat and they were welcome in the room we reserved.**There is no indoor pool. Not sure who added that photo.**Rooms: Big, clean and had everything we need.Nearby activities: Mt Vernon, Northern Virginia attractions, DC and even southern Maryland attractions were within one hour drive.Safety: Didn't feel unsafe at all.Food & drinks: Denny's is right across the street. Their continental breakfast was nice and hot and cold depending on what you wanted.

Trying to find an affordable hotel in the DMV was a challenge. My husband found this location, and I surely expected to have issues with the rates displayed on their website. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with our accommodations. The room was clean, and the location was near many restaurants and the historic Alexandria Old Town district and waterfront. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The only issue was that we arrived on one of the hottest days of the year, and the air conditioning wasn't cooling at capacity. Luckily, the temps cooled down the next day. I would absolutely book here again.Nearby activities: Alexandria Old Town

We were swapped rooms immediately after reporting a puddle in the bathroom when we checked in. The second room had doors that didn’t close well, garbage in the fridge, a bloody tissue in the ice bucket, a toilet that ran all day, and the pool was closed in mid June. On top of that got a rude call about denying house cleaning because my wife was sleeping and that the room had to be cleaned. Will not stay here again.
