I bought a 2022 Honda Civic sport vehicle from Sheehy Honda in September 2022. At that time I had been recently widowed and needed a car that I could rely on and that I felt safe driving (I was 76 at the time). My experience with the purchase was pretty much as I expected it would be -- trying to sell me stuff that I didn't need, but overall, while not the best experience, it wasn't horrible. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I ran over a nail and had a flat tire. Because I was at the time closer to the Rosenthal Honda dealership, I brought the car there and they plugged the tire. About a month later, the warning light went on on the dashboard indicating that the pressure was low in one of my tires. The plugged tire was the issue. I filled up the tire and drove it to Sheehy Honda to see if there was a problem. I was told that they couldn't find anything wrong with the tire. They filled it up and sent me on my way. Several weeks later, the same thing happened. Not only was the pressure low in the plugged tire, but the rear tire on the same side was also very low. Again, back to the Sheehy Honda service department and was told they could not find anything wrong with the tires but if it happened again to come back in. I have been back at at least four times for this same problem. Last week the same thing happened. When I called the dealership to see what I could do about this, they told me that the tires are not under warranty and that if there's something wrong with them, I would have to replace them at my expense. They have never found anything wrong with my tires, so I am concerned that there is something else wrong with this car. It has already had a recall, but I was assured that my car did not have the defect subject to the recall. I have no confidence that this is true. I was told I could make an appointment and they would check the tires again, but I was not going to waste my time just to be told that they can't find anything wrong with the tires. I asked to speak with a manager, and I was told I was speaking to a manager. When I asked to speak to someone further up the chain, I was told that that person was in a meeting, and they did not know when the meeting would be over.I subsequently wrote an email to the person that sold me the car, but I have yet to receive any acknowledgment from him. I have made an appointment with Rosenthal Honda for tomorrow and they promised they would look over the car to see if they can find anything wrong or give me a suggestion as to what I could do to resolve the issue.

Moved to Alexandria in August 2023 so hadn't established a car service center as my "go-to" yet. This establishment is it for next four years I'm stationed here. Had my 2014 Honda Accord serviced for B-1-4 (high mileage scheduled maintenance). I already had the mind set that it will be 5 + hrs. Their maintenance team had me out of the in less than 3 hrs and my service rep Shay was extremely professional. Highly recommend this place! Extremely happy with my car and service.

I bought my car here in 2020 and it was a disaster. They were not upfront about hidden costs and the salesman got a speeding ticket while delivering my car. I had to call and email multiple times per day in order to get answers from anyone. To make up for the terrible service, the finance director Robert gave me free membership to their VIP program. Robert was wonderful, but unfortunately he left Sheehy.Apparently they are under new management now and the new management continues the same practices of misleading customers. I have dropped my car off a few times for service because of the VIP benefits. One of the perks of the VIP service is a free rental car. I've taken advantage of this every time I've come, whether for a $99 detail or for $1000 repair. When I made my most recent appointment, I said I wanted a rental car. When I arrived, they told me they were enforcing a new policy that required you to spend $250 to get a rental car. They should have been up front about this when I made the appointment. I've also been told my car needs thousands of dollars in service by Sheehy, only to take it to other mechanics who say I absolutely don't need those services. Even though a $99 detail is a nice perk, I will not be taking advantage of it any more and will never take my car here again.

Almost 2 and a half hours for a simple oil change and I had an appointment! Will never go here again. Terrible service.

They took my car in minutes and got it fixed before lunch time. I originallythought it was going to take days to repair. Great staff.

I brought my car in today at 9:30 AM because the tire pressure light on my dashboard came on during the week, and I figured since oil life was reading at 20% I could get my oil changed and tires rotated as well to save myself an extra visit. Rachel, who both my folks and I have worked with regularly from the service center, was kind and polite, explaining the cost breakdown for the services sought and comparing that to extending our VIP membership (which makes those services free). Before leaving, we double-checked to make sure that the numbers for contacting us were up-to-date and correct.Seven hours later, we still had received no phone call from them (it turned out later that my mother had received one lone text message around noon from Sheehy) to let us know that the car was ready to be picked up. Trying to call the general Sheehy number and direct the call to the service people, the automated machine told me that they were not available, stating when their hours were and making it sound like they were closed (I know this is not the case, as hours have updated since at least a few years ago to where they are now open later on Saturdays), and my folks called the number they had for the service folks, only to be told to leave a message, except their mailbox was full. When we arrived, the service representative who was there, Jeanette, was unpleasant, impersonal, and acted in a manner as if she was very short on patience. While I understand that the day is long (she had been there since this morning, so I know she has likely been there all day), there was no indication from her that she was willing to explain why such a lack of communication had been made about my car being ready to take back. When I was trying to pay, the credit card machine seemed to have an issue reading the card, because I first attempted the chip reader, but when removing the card as told to, it then told me to swipe my card for payment. Figuring this was because the machine had not been able to read my card, I went ahead and swiped. This was apparently not what I was supposed to do, as Jeanette became annoyed that I swiped my card, saying that I had "disrupted the process." She had said nothing about the chip having been read and payment was being processed. After attempting a second time, payment was successful and the issue was resolved. She gave the set of documents related to my services, but made no explanation about anything (I found out when checking the documents after leaving that my brakes have now reached a point where replacement may be necessary soon). It was simply a handoff of all related documents, giving my key fob back, and sending me on my way, not even wishing a simple "have a good rest of your day" or such.Services were adequately rendered, but lack of any real attempt to get in touch with us when the car was ready, as they had done every time we brought our cars in for service in the past, combined with an annoyed and impersonal service representative at pick up has left us rather dissatisfied with our overall experience today. We have been customers with Sheehy for over 32 years, and this decline in quality seems unusual for them. We will still likely consider them for service in the future, but today has been a drop in what we normally expect from them. I know that working a long day can be grating and exhausting for anybody who works in a customer service type of job, but I bring my car to the Sheehy dealers with their certified technicians for my maintenance because I expect to be told what service was rendered and if any future work can be expected to be necessary. Please do better in communicating with your customers, and perhaps providing better workload and conditions for your service representatives.Auto Customer One text message is not nearly sufficient to let us know that the car is ready for pick up, this wait was ridiculous and could have been avoided.Services: Tires

I wish I could give them ZERO Star which is my experience. I would be more satisfied than giving them one star which they don't even deserve it. I can not believe that the man who served us was really rude and contemptuous. We were honestly looking for a car asap, we asked for testing the car so we could decide which cars we should get. However, the man who served us like he didn't need the customer said that "If you try it and you don't buy it, you CAN'T try it". What kind of services are these? It was truly a horrible experience!!!! I DON'T RECOMMEND PEOPLE COME HERE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT SEE YOU AS A CUSTOMER :(

This is based solely on service. I purchased a new car and used car on the same day. Purchased the vip service for new car. The warning systems for both cars started going off at random times. I called and was told a supervisor would call back, they never did-after multiple calls. I was also dinged by a cart in Home Depot-called to see if my bumper to bumper coverage would handle Rabat. Was told someone would call me back, they never did. I made an appointment online to bring my car in for standard maintenance-chose the option to get a ride home, was told I lived too far for a ride and would have to wait. Crazy considering my daughter (who lives at the same address) was offered a ride home by the person checking her in when she took her car in for an oil change. Rachel was competent but rude when I was checking my car in-questioning and trying to dispute that I had no returned calls, and simply stated she's never booked an appointment online so she doesn't know why I was able to request a ride home, but that I would have to wait if I wanted my car fixed, or I could get. Rice anywhere else within a 5 mile radius. I'll update once repairs are made!

Sure the $30, $40, $50k new Hondas are nice--and you'll get the same sales experience here (knowledgable, nice, but this isn't BMW, amenities, though most you pay for) than any other Honda dealer (minus the haggling), but Sheehy, as a brand, does value/ under $10k, $12k very very well! Most dealers don't offer a (/n actually decent) warranty, return policy, financing/ rates, or recondition their cars at this price range like Sheehy does (though their processing fee is extremely high IMO.)VIP membership is reasonably priced but doesn't cover Maryland inspection or engines over 50k miles (which I'd guess all Value vehicles are.). Put *anything* out of place or that needs to be fixed on a "We Owe"--you can negotiate repairs and accessories but not the price or VIP). Given the proximity to Sheehy stores and Volvo service pricing, probably should have opt'd into VIP for that one. I've bought 2 cars and helped another 3 family/ friends all buy cars from Sheehy and all had straight forward experiences and chose Sheehy for their quality standard (again, not BMW) and Carmax-like experience and pricing policy (for less!). Only 1 had a mechanical problem which was fixed under their 30 day/ 1k-mile warranty (most dealers only cover 50% and/ or have a deductible--Sheehy is 100/100 and $0, respectively). I've never sold/ traded a car to Sheehy, so I can't comment there. Thanks to Kevin, George, and Rob at Sheehy Honda!

Knowledgeable service consultants and a space to wait or a very busy van.
