I've been going to this salon for 8 years and Vonetta for a total of 10. Vonetta Dumas is the best natural hairstylist in DC. I went natural and was balding in the middle of my hair. Now with Vonetta's help, I have long healthy hair. I've gotten natural styles, cornrows and straightened styles. She's the only stylist I know that can make a natural hair flatiron style look like a perm. I will ALWAYS have her as a stylist and she's done spectacular make up for me as well. She and Cierra Curenton are immensely talented and I love getting my hair done here!

I typically don't write reviews. But, I thought it might be helpful for someone else. I am a loyalist, so I've had the same hair stylist for 19 years despite the many issues I've experienced. So, when the opportunity presented itself I decided to take a leap of faith and try someone new. Vonetta will not disappoint. She listened to my concerns and said she would gain my trust and she did exactly that. She uses Phytospecifc relaxers and Aveda products. In a world of over-processed, chemically -treated hair organic products are important to me as I try to regain the health, length and volume of my hair. She is very knowledgeable and will freely share information with you. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. My appointment was at 2pm and she began promptly. My hair looks healthy and feels great. My next appointment was made before I walked out the door!

I've been twice and have been satisfied with my hair both times. Vonetta has been doing my hair, along with the help of her assistant. I really appreciate how well every person that I encounter LISTENS to me and makes sure that I get what I want. Very satisfied.

I've been going to Vonetta for the past 10 years and I couldn't write a higher recommendation. As a stylist, she's always patient and warm--though she will be quick to let you know if your hair is unhealthy! The best thing you can do for yourself is listen to her--my beautiful, healthy hair is a testament to what is possible when you do. (Because the good Lord knows it has been a struggle at times!!) Don't waste your time going to another salon. Signature Image Salon is the best kept secret in the city and Vonetta Dumas is the best of the best.

Best Color ever! Everyone I come to the Salon I walk out looking like the best version of myself! I have been coming to SIS for at least 6 years. I started coming when i was wearing my hair straight and Vonetta's is a wizard with the scissors! Then when I decided to embrace my curls she has kept my color on point. We worked together on the color to make sure it would compliment my skin tone and was what i wanted. When I tell people i am going get my color done they ask 'what color are you getting?' I crack up at this because everyone thinks it's my natural color. She is magical with curly and straight hair. Can't say enough great things about this Salon.

Signature Image is the perfect salon to take an impressionable tender headed 16 year old to get her hair done with or without her mother being present. The ambience and professionalism of this salon won me over. My daughter's natural hair received the works while her spirit was revived and pampered. Thank you for for the relaxing nature of this salon ---no drama whatsoever---on top of Vonetta's healing hand the entire experience was heavenly! The Signature Image experience made my daughter feel as though she was a valued client. We have dubbed Vonetta the THICK HAIR SLAYER!

I have been Debbie's customer for over 10 years - she does an amazing job! Lee does the manicures, waxing and pedicures and offers a great service. I think they are the best Old Town salon.

GO SEE DEBORAH. I was recommended to her by a friend of mine, who did not lead me astray. She is the best stylist! Her skills with coloring are amazing. My hair looks great and I honestly don't think my color has ever looked so good. Signatures also has some beauty treatments like pedicures and waxing, but I didn't try those out this time. Will review them when I do!
