Needs more cycling machines like the one near the back, mirrors in the calisthenics area, an improved pulley machine (bad range of motion), and better organization of machines

I decided not to join after visiting - it had all the equipment but was in a very narrow alley-like building with little light or room to move around. 24 hour access was good but couldn’t see myself there late. For $50 a month probably a good deal but I’ll look to pay more for better amenities.

SNAP Fitness is an amazing boutique gym that offers the convenience of 24/7 gym access and friendly staff. The gym is always clean and tidy, and the people are super friendly. It is a private experience!

Great location for Snap Fitness. I like using these when I'm in the road because my health insurance gives me a great deal on memberships and they're usually convenient to get to. Decent parking on King Street all around. But you do have to pay (about $3ish for 2 hours). There are not a lot of free barbells to move but there is a Smith Machine. There is a C2 Rower and plenty of other cardio machines. TVs all work and there is free wifi. Nice and clean! Thanks for the convenience.

This is a great gym if you do not want any of the bells and whistles of a large gym. I joined for the flexibility and the cardio machines due to the long cold winter. The gym is a long narrow space and I never had to wait for cardio equipment which was appreciated. The reason for my very low star review has to do with management. I tried to cancel my membership via phone and I was unable to leave a message as they do not have an answering machine. So I called to cancel my membership again and I was able to talk to someone who instructed me write an email to cancel my membership. They will not allow you to cancel your membership over the phone. So as instructed I wrote an email to cancel my membership. Well my email came one day too late and they are now requiring me to pay for two months or 60 days even though I missed the cut off window by one day. One would think that customer service would be a priority and they would work with me as I would join again the following winter. I will not be joining this gym again. Good luck if you wish to cancel. Staff is rarely at the "front desk" and they are not flexible with their clients.

Great small gym nestled in Old Town Alexandria, and even when it's busy there is no problem getting use of a machine. A bit more relaxing than many of the bigger gyms and it has most of the essentials.

No-frills, neighborhood gym. Far from fully equipped, but more than adequate for the non-elite athlete looking to get in a workout. The place is small. Think a hyped-up version of the type of the amenity gym you'd find in the average luxury building in the city. No showers, no lockers, and limited equipment designed to maximize the space. The equipment-- Cardio: - half dozen treadmills - half dozen ellipticals - a couple of stationary bikes Weights: - Dumbbells (5 - 100 lbs), with 3 or 4 different types of benches - Smith machine - Squat machine - Preacher bench Resistance machines: - dual cable functional trainer, with pull-up station - about a dozen various machines targeting legs, back, chest, shoulders, arms, and core Knick knacks: - resistance bands - core balls - trx band - light medicine balls - 1 kettlebell (25 lbs, I think) ***If this place had a bench press station, a power rack, and a complete set of kettlebells, I'd be set.*** The staff is friendly and professional. And the 24-hour thing is great. (They have security cameras and emergency buttons throughout the building for safety.) I'm an early riser, so usually get my workout in before 6. But I've visited at all hours of the day and, despite the small size, I've never found the spot completely crowded. There is limited floor space, so when 3 or more people are doing mat exercises at the same time, it can be hard to get around. The main reason I chose this gym is the price; it's super cheap for the area. My hopelessly bourgeoisie gf goes to the Orange Theory a few blocks away; the amount she pays for one class is slightly less than what I pay per month here.
